    Thanks for the walk through. I had already decided that the 9th injector on my LML was my problem… your tutorial made it less daunting and replacing the 9th injector on 2014 LML fixed my emissions hell problem! Rolling at full speed again thanks to your video!

    Thanks a ton, just replaced mine. Used the Bic Pen trick but also used some mini vice grips to push it in. Popped right out of my 2012 lml. Thanks.

    question about the injector retaining clip (before you use bic) - mine is white, not black... Does that white plastic retaining clip part just pop out with some pliers, or does a special tool go around that?
    Edit- yes I had a white retainer clip and it had to be moved back out of the way for the BIC trick! All good.

      Wish I saw this before I did it. I just used a pick and broke the retainer until the fuel line popped out. Wasn’t hard but look like the bic thing would have been easier with less fooling around in there.

    Is that injector under pressure , will fuel come out if you don’t depressurize the fuel system?

    What was the part# for the injector you bought have this exact problem on my 2013 LTZ Duramax...

    Does the injector tend to go bad more often than the dosing line running in there?

    This is a great video, but what engine are you working I have L5P in a 2017 Chevrolet and it looks completely different to what you’re working on there. I’ve been searching for over an hour and cannot find where this injector is at and there’s virtually nothing but your video and one other guy who’s working on a bus. I need help

    • @fixittroy1961
      @fixittroy1961  Год назад

      I haven’t had to service mine on the L5P but I think that injector is now located further down the exhaust pipe. Much easier to get to.

    For god's sake somebody get this guy a fuel line release tool! Wow, they are cheap and available almost anywhere. JEESH.

      The retainer clip for this specific design of engine was unique and the tools to remove it are not available everywhere as its the only brand that use this clip design that we know of.

    Traded it off eh. I am about to with mine. I'm getting d**n tired of emission issues. You can't even drive it anywhere without thinking what else is going to happen. If it wasn't for the EPA I'd rip all of that sh** off. I have a '84 Cadillac Fleetwood Brougham that is more dependable.
