C'est balèze pianistiquement parlant, comme il joue ce passage à 09:19 en particulier... Preuve qu'il n'est pas obligé de jouer vite, mais que s'il le veut, il le peut. Rares sont ceux qui peuvent faire ce trait de virtuosité aussi vite. Bien, que cela ne soit pas une obligation, ici. Avec un bel esprit d'interprétation. C'est respectable. Bravo et merci :)
Trifonov a true master, but I thought the 1st movement cadenza was a miss. As clearly articulated as it was, it misses the wow factor that you get when hearing someone bulldoze through it.
Where did this performance take place? I played this with him in the same year at the Verbier festival and it was one of the most jaw dropping performances I've ever been a part of.
Это исполнение отправляется в копилку неудачных Даниила Трифонова. Много брака, отсутствие внятной драматургии, достаточно примитивное форсирование и т.д. Такое ощущение, что Даниил не уделил этому производению должного внимания как с технической стороны, так и со смысловой. На порядок лучше его запись этого же производения в альбоме "Silver age" с Гергиевым.

I like Trifonov, but for this Prok 2, Yuja Wang has done a better job (especially the version she recorded with Charles Dutoit).
at this level there is no “better”… art is subjective and both wang and trifonov are marvelous artists
