- It's Reaction Time! Hey there everyone. It's your favorite Middle Aged Metal Head, Mr. Scott. This is my Reaction to another cover song from Liliac. The young folks from Georgia give us their version of the Black Sabbath classic, Heaven and Hell. How does Liliac do with this one? Check out my Reaction and see.

I love this video ! Such a fantastic tribute to the original . I'm glad they do covers along with originals . People hate on them because of covers , but with the talent they have at doing them , I hope they never stop !
Agreed. They sound better doing them than a lot of the "original" bands that are still together playing (but usually with different members).
They’ve also covered ‘The Last In Line’ by Dio at the request of Wendy Dio for the RJD cancer benefit concert. They had one week to learn, record and make the video. The version they did was was a previously unreleased one that was given to them by Vinny Appiece, DIO’s drummer.
This rendition absolutely Rocks! The best cover I've seen of this classic!! I just wish they would pull the trigger and do a full album of DIO songs as an ongoing tribute! With Melody's vocals, she's truly slaying it! And the band also just gets better with every song! Just look at how far they've come over a few years! They keep raising the bar!!!! 👍
Hello my new friend. Yes, they have grown so much. I have 3 bands I support. Different genres and countries. My first was, like Liliac a family. They spent time in their fathers studio. This is what happens when you give children the freedom to learn, play, and perform for the love of music. My favorite Black Sabbath album will always be Masters of Reality. I bought it at age 14 in 1972 I believe. In a way, I was aware of the DIO Era. To be honest, Liliac has had me revisit and enjoy the DIO Era more and more. The location of the video portrays the Heaven and Hell theme really well...beautiful sky, trees and stuff above, then desolate barren stone below
You should also know Sabbath and Dio drummer Vinny Appice is a friend of the family, he saw them playing at NAMM some years ago and was blown away, he has a band called SABBATH KNIGHTS AND MELODY HAS PLAYED WITH THEM , LOOK IT UP , ALSO WENDY DIO WIFE OF RONNIE JAMES DIO IS A BIG FAN AND SHE ASKED THEM TO DO A VIDEO OF THE LAST IN LINE FOR THE DIO CANCER FUNDRAISER A COUPLE YEARS AGO, ITS INSANE. THANKS
They knocked that tribute video out of the park for her, too. I believe that's when Vinny gave Mel the nickname Melodio.

There are some great live performances to check out, two originals, Mars (live in Cummings, GA) that begins with a killer guitar solo by Sam, Not Afraid, which is compilation of live performances of the song, and then Master of Puppets featuring Aiden Fisher. They filmed part of their original song Dear Father at this same rock quarry. I recommend that, as well as We Are the Children, Mystery, Sail Away, Carousel and Madness. A tip, if you see Melody lean back, she’s opening up her diaphragm to really let loose and go up into her whistle register 😉. Also if you’re open to a suggestion, maybe position the thumbnail in the lower right corner and enlarge it. If someone is viewing your reaction on a phone or mini tablet, it can be harder to see them. Some other names you’re probably familiar with a fangs, Stewart Copeland (Police), Rob Halford (Judas Priest), Wendy Dio and Vinny Appice. ❤️🦇

I think you'll really like the original stuff, but fair warning. They're incredibly versatile, which I really like, but some people have a problem with it because they don't have a single theme. They can do ballads and head bangers and literally everything in between, and do them all well, but you never know what's coming next. I like the surprise aspect, but some folks got pissed when KISS released Beth, and there are a lot of people looking at Liliac's catalog the same way because they're not locked into being Dio 2.0.
Aaaaah, you practically missed all of Melody's epic screams at the end. sigh... Anyway, Melody probably got her mic twirl from Dio also.

I understand Melody is close to Dio's widow.why is it hard for you tubers to understand that viewers want full screen with a tiny you in the corner? You have a postal stamp size screen for us to watch, but want people to support the channel?
