Great videos, Eric’s my favorite guitarist. Bobby’s voice is fantastic on Layla. They influenced me greatly. Im southern and have my influences, from the late 50,s to today. But Bobby’s and Eric’s style is what I was striving for.
"Sunny Funny Shit". "Sober's a good start". Two of Bobby's quotes that is true for sure. If everybody would just slow down and remember that they are going to die and then try to laugh more and listen or play music, what a wonderful world it would be. Thank y'all again.

My introduction to Eric was when I heard Fresh Cream, the whole album. 3 of us sat and listened to that album over and over again, Disraeli Gears too. The Wheels of Fire album had that live tunes and Crossroads was simply outrageous, there are 2 guitar solos in that tune, both great but the second one was off the scale. I have seen many very good guitarists trying to replicate that solo, Steve Lukather one of them, NOT one of those guys could go near it. After that on Spoonful, Cream were as a unit and that 16 minutes was amazing, I doubt Eric could replicate that himself. He matured and still plays beautiful stuff. Here is something you may not have seen, Eric and GlynnJohns being interviewed by Paul Whitehouse, a British comedian .ruclips.net/video/z557G8kd58k/видео.html
You mention Eric's playing on My Father's Eye's......I think the live version from 'One More Car' is the most incredible playing I've heard from his entire career. I always find myself sitting there shaking my head in disbelief...every time I listen to it.

I think everyone should play in a band without monitors at some point because it teaches you to listen to the other players and keep your volume in check. Many players now never had to listen or can even tune their guitar with out an electronic tuner
Yes it does
Real . Very real man.😎
I was at the airport one time after a 3 day bender and they ask to check my bags. Thats when you know its bad lol. Hey Have you ever got to see Ginger's son Kofi play? Eric put together the Tribute concert Feb 2020 just before covid hit and you can see Eric quite surprised at how good Kofi plays. That vid is on RUclips and I read where Kofi always had a rough relationship with his Dad, but at the end of Gingers life he softened up and said the right things to his son.
We know Kofi who is a fine young man
Hi Bobby, you probably addressed this before but I missed it. Were you asked to play on 461 Ocean Blvd. with Eric and if not what were you doing at the time? Thanks and I enjoy your talks so much.
'I had to quit drinking, just to look good!
