    I own a couple of rugers, no LCR’s or “x”’s. But what I do have I know, rugers are typically built like tanks. I think once people get past the polymer they’ll realize Ruger is trying to narrow the gap of capacity and firepower with relation to other revolvers and small semi auto pistols. I love Rugers. And I love your shows, very down to earth. I’m Blount County TN, maybe the down to earth is a TN thing. 😉

      That's what the terrific all steel SP101's for. I followed Ruger's suggestion of dry firing it a good 1500+ times to seat the springs and clear the micro burrs of metal left from machining and when I got to the range had a nice light DA trigger and an exquisite SA trigger...like breaking glass, it's so clean.
      As to muzzle flip- not a problem. I started with light .38s and worked up to full power .357 Magnum and found it controllable and enjoyable. BTW, I'm disabled, in a power wheelchair with only my non-dominant right hand working...if I see results like that, I bet healthy people able to use both hands will find it a delight.

    I’ve got both the LCRX in .38 Special, and the 357. They’re very intelligent firearms. That 357 is a real howitzer !

      @@Bro_TD I personally like the 357 as it has such a wide ballistic index. 38 special comes in so many different projectile weights as does 357. So you’ve got a lot of choices.

    I recently fired a friend's LCRx in .38 Special, and it's not a gun you'd shoot just for fun. That said, accuracy and function were more than adequate for its intended purpose. I would like to see Ruger make the .22LR variant available with a 4" barrel. The light weight would make it a perfect kit gun for hikers, etc.

      @overdfl5398 4 года назад +2

      I agree. Its the best all around lcr. 6 rounds with more power than 38+p. If recoil is too much, you can choose from 5 separate calibers all put of the 327 (327, 32 h&r, 32 long, 32 s&w, and 32 acp). The only thing that doesnt come with this from the factory that it really needs is a fiber optic front site. An additional $30 makes this the perfect summer carry revolver.

    My wife bought a Ruger LCRx back in May, 2020…. Waited 2 hours and she passed the Gun Test with no prep. 357 mag rounds have 520 ft/pounds and kick and rather hard on your hand. 38 special 215 ft/pounds much lighter… and some cowboy 38 special easiest to shoot. My wife shoots my Uberti Henry also… little kick.
    I say stopping big people, use the defender rounds but there is a kick. Cowboy 38 Special for target. Not really a target gun but small, easy to carry. I like 1911 my self.

    Yes! I was waiting for this video. I have had the LCRx snub nose in .357 for a couple years ago, and I love it. It was my favorite gun before I got my 5.5” Vaquero in .357. THAT is my favorite gun now, but I wouldn’t trade in my LCRx for anything.

    He might want to try out the Taurus 605 Polymer Protector. It's a 5 round 2" snubby .357 revolver. I like to shoot 130 gr .38 special FMJ and +p JHP defense rounds through it because of the gun's weight, larger standard grip size, and visible sights. They all contribute to comfortable recoil, accuracy, and reasonable concealability in a pocket holster. The ultimate result is an effective reliable CC revolver that I'm using as my daily carry handgun. I alternate carrying it or a new Taurus G3C with 115 gr 9mm FMJ or JHP defense rounds in a similar pocket holster.

    I bought my Son a .38 Rossi revolver. Accurate firearm but it lacks in the cylinder getting to hot after range shooting 12 to 18 rounds through it the casings swell and they are hard to eject. Other than that it is a great firearm for around $400 bucks.

    I grew up shooting revolvers. Love J- frame sized ones. In summer, I can put one in a cargo shorts pocket and not have to wear a belt holster, etc. When I leave my compound, I now have my Glock 19 on the hip, a 5 shot revolver in my off side pocket for backup.

    I had a LCR in 9mm, traded it in. But I have a 3" LCRX in .38 special, a 3" LCRX in .22 mag, and a LCR in .327 federal. Haven't got around to shooting the last two, yet, but I like the .38 very much. Surprisingly low recoil for a polymer revolver.

    I prefer a 4 inch barrel or longer in my revolver. Its a good car gun to keep readily available when my other guns are pocketed or holstered which makes them more difficult to access when I'm buckled down in the car seat.

    That's a really good review. I own the one without the hammer spur. Don't care what it looks like. It's not a range gun. I think it's the perfect self-defense weapon. As long as I can put five 357 s into something at about 6 ft or less I'll be happy. I carry mine in the front pocket with a sticky holster. Good video. I like that thing about you and Tucker Carlson also

    I don't really get the point in ultra short barreled snub nose revolvers. The short barrel does not improve conceal ability (much) when compared to something like a 4" barrel. And, the performance of a .38 from a 2" or shorter barrel....sucks.
