I made one out of a military tear-away First Aid Kit pouch. The molle webbing system lets you swap in tool pouches, water bottle holders, etc on relatively cheap main backpacks as you need them instead of paying 3X the cost for a FPV specific bag. My latest useful find is a fold up "magazine dump pouch" to drop drained batteries into as I go instead of messing around trying to organize or put colored caps on them as I go. Attached right to the side of my $50 bag.
Thanks for the video, love organization videos! I recently bought a holder for my omnifixo on Etsy. It’s pretty cool it can hold your iron, the magnetic arms, spool for solder, spot for brass and a holder for the iron when it’s hot. The omnifixo acts as the top and the base has magnets for it to stick.
About bits, you need to check PBSwiss and Wera, quality are just greate. PBSwiss also make best holder for bits. And for driver probably check Wera as well, they have preaty small one.
Hey Joshua! I just want to throw out RDQ has a "all in one driver" that has a similar handle but stores the same long bits inside itself. I bought one a while ago and it's so far my favorite for fpv having 1.5, 2, 2.5 and 3mm all self contained for 30$. 👍🏻
I have that tool (which you are not sure about)… I was also not sure but - having used it for over a year …. It is absolutely awsome. You can get an adapter to the smaller bits. I find myself using it for all kinds of things were normally I would use an impact driver or drill (okay not FPV)… this is just quicker and easier for many jobs! Try putting some various tips and this tool in an easy to reach place and you will find it is really great.
My storage cases are a source of joy and pride to me - I really appreciate when things are organized properly! I have rebuilt my "core" toolset a few times over the years and I am always looking to see or learn about something cooler, lighter, more compact, etc... I followed your links - the heatsink tape is CRAZY expensive (not overpriced, just a lot on the roll that you don't need...) I recently mounted a heatsink to my DJI03 with the same thermal pads that I use on my computers and it seems to have improved temps by a degree or 3 so not bad. That bag you linked is a great deal! - I have many pouches similar in construction to this one in my work backpack for my computer accessories, for tools, etc... and they have held up (to admittedly moderately light abuse).
The forceps in my hobby box are a 50+ year acquisition. The faces of them have a shallow cross hatch that allows me to grip a wire with fragile insulation without fear of damaging that insulation. The forceps available to the average consumer today are all made in China with deep serrations in the face of the jaws. My forceps were made in the USA and were designed to not cut or tear tissue. They are expensive but in my opinion worth every penny.
I prefer the less is more method, I NEED 10-15 tools depending on the different types of craft I need that day, but I try to use tools that can be used in multiple ways (no necessarily the way they were designed as long as it doesn’t change the quality of the job and the limitations within the field) this is an option for heavy field tool bag days for me. You should check out the electric screwdriver from Vessel. I know you like your Dewalt gyro but the Vessel is a bit more nimble, would fit nicer in your case, and has a ball handle that allows a bit more control in the hand and an easier transition between quickly zooming screws in and finishing them by hand. I have one of their manual ball-grip bit holders and I swear by it. They do have a few different models of electric screw drivers that vary in usage. But Japanese brands have a cult following so there’s plenty of RUclips reviews that’ll tell you everything about their 3-4 models.
@@djSpinege I have some expensive Swiss Tools screwdrivers (I live in Switzerland so they are cheaper for me compared to the price you would pay because of import) they are exactly the size they have to be. That’s the problem for smaller screws like m2 they strip screws because the hex hole of the screw are always a bit larger than 1.5mm. So I would recommend this screwdriver for m2 (because it’s a bit larger than 1.5mm) but it also works for bigger screws
Yup. And all prop nuts should be built like wing nuts. Easy to tighten by the hand. Slight weight increase. But we are far past a gram of worry. And they have never needed a ratchet to get the correct torque. I’ll take 20% top line sales on a WRB.
I have much of the same but also zip ties, super glue, bandaids, spare screws and battery straps. I found a bigger pouch tho. I think you can find a variety of sizes of these by looking for “molle admin pouch” or something like that
RaceDayQuads has a mini hex driver that I love in my travel pack. It’s $13 and stores all 4 bits in the handle nicely. I also travel with a leatherman, so I use that for Phillips/flat fasteners in the rare instances I need them in a drone.
If you like to organize everything you have to have a leather officers map case! 😅 I have one and I just love it! In the back I have all the permissions to fly, in the front I put a map of the city I fly in and a daily plan. There is a pen, pencils, a line and a special tool to measure distance on the map. Also it always impresses police officers when I take permission papers out of the officers map case 😂 Do you want to get one? If you do - just whistle! 😊

Mine is largely the same, even down to the leatherman (although i use a wingman), i also recently added a cheap toothbrush and a little 20ml spray bottle of isopropyl, have been looking for a better solution to carry everything as the torvol toolkit just isnt big enough for what i like to carry. great video, love organisation! 😂
I also appreciate an awesomely designed tool like that Lumineer driver set. Although I do not think that is the one I would go with, I feel I have something much better... Guess as long as I am going I have the Sequre Si012 Pro Max soldering iron - best one of the bunch if you asked me...
WHIA makes comparable quality Allen tools to MIP. And you can get a set of them without having to decode the MIP website which is just not worth it to me. I've been very happy with mine they're sized perfect and do not round off with excessive torque.
The molle is not laid out correctly in this bag, you can’t mount it centrally on a molle backpack which is pretty frustrating. Is also really quite small
are you sure you linked to the correct toolpouch? that one zips all the way down while the one at amazon is a different shape and zips more like a toiletry back, where you cannot fully open it up like in the video. they look similar because the velcro looks similar or is the same.

The lumineer hex driver set is not worth the price. Ive had it for 4 months now and the allen key bit gets stuck in every screw for some reason. When you go to pull it out, the whole bit moves in and out because they have play and movement when inserted into the handle. Its just beyond annoying. Its got a magnet inside the handle for some reason because it already has a locking mechanism so bit just moves in and out when youre trying to pry the damn screw off of the allen key bit. I find myself using the allen key bits without the handle most of the time. Id recommend a high quality electric one 😂 don't buy this one bardwell is using
I wish organization bugged me, but imo in reality, it's just gonna get cluttered again and the incentive to clean it up goes off the face of the earth to me

regarding the lumenier bit drive tool: ive had great experience with the brand wiha, they never get torn! and there are long bit sets aswell!
I have a similar thing going but with a Torvol tool bag, absolutely love it especially the super high quality precision screwdrivers.

Electric Screwdriver like the one from XIAOMI is a necessity for my kit. It makes repair work soooo much quicker and easier.

I used to chew through Hex Drivers until I got some Wera hex driver's. Only ordered the two sizes I need for FPV.

I think a Victorinox SAK with pliers is the perfect balance between forceps and the big Leatherman pliers

I have electrical tape and zip ties in mine. looks almost like the one I use but shorter. medical bags are the way to go.
LTT say that their screwdriver has strong enough magnet to not leave bits in screws. Mads Tech has a review of it.

You can get the LTT Screwdriver with bits for 70 bucks or the small one for 10 bucks less. I would very much recommend that.
