Leave the rocks in your beds, rocks are good because they contain lot's of minerals and your plants use these minerals to grow strong and healthy. Also when you harvest the crops the taste will be better ;)
Kune kune pigs! We got our first last year and are in love with them. My grandparents were hog farmers and i NEVER imagined raising pigs. They are great for clearing land and leaving behind "compost".
I planted my strawberries the same way this year. So far they are thriving. I am in a cool, short season, for peppers I have found growing undercover to be a game changer. Maybe try moving that mini greenhouse to cover some of your plants for spring and fall to get better success?
Goats?! 🐐 I love hatching baby chicks in the incubator... I'm a father of five and all of my kids are grown up and out on their own... Kinda get the feeling of becoming a Dad all over again when they pop out... 😉
Wow ! that was so inspiring! I love your garden and fence your husband is building. Were the bare root strawberries planted in straw or was that just dead grass? It looks like a good way to grow them. With your freeze dried eggs do you simply 'rehydrate' them and make them scrambled? Or use them for baked goods? My guess is sheep. Much better for the land than goats, and easier to keep.
