Back in the day when I was in college I took a CLEP exam, one for Spanish and the other one for French. I tested out of 3 semesters in both languages. Passing the Cervantes C2 exam, congratulations on that! You're right. Even after passing such exams you still have room to improve and learn more. I spent a summer in Colombia and they have their ways of saying things. Sometimes I watch Colombian and Spanish TV series on Netflix and I learn still even more. I still work on French, Portuguese, and Italian. I've used Portuguese for almost a decade in my career also. When I spend time learning a language, I'll take a break from the others, but I can do that because I'm sure I'm at least B2 in those languages except for maybe Italian. In college I also studied Russian and German. Last year I completed an Assimil German course. This year I completed their 1998 French course.

It is amazing seeing how you prepared yourself for the DELE C2. I agree with you, the DELE C2 is hard, even for me. I am a DELE preparator and examiner. It is the only level I need to do extra to give the best to my students and even sometimes I even learn words. The candidates that decide to take this DELE are so brave and ready for a big challenge that even native people would fail!

Muchos hablantes nativos no pasarían unas pruebas tan difíciles.

While C2 is basically upper University level Spanish. N2-N1 JLPT is somewhat needed if you want to work for Japanese companies as a foreigner, to be honest there really no point taking any other level since taking the test cost $150 dollars in the US.
