Excelent job! I recently have done the same job as you on my 888 vf2 but on the rerbound cartridge I had a very soft spring with two whaser I have not seen on yours, maybe mine is done in china. If you check this link the parts I am telling you are the 44,43 and 33

Can you tell me where did you get the replacement for the cartridge? and what was the vicosity of the oil you used? I used 10w forks motor bike oil I know the manual stand for 7.5w but there wasn´t on the shop.
Thank you, Moriwaky! Mine fork has this parts! If you look more closely, you can see they inside rebound leg! I show them in the video. This parts need to centering cartridge inside the leg. Replacement part is custom one. I ordered it in a shop and they make one. This part made from stainless steel, heavy duty part. I use 7.5w motorex fork oil. If you ride in hot weather, 10w is normal too. But in cold weather fork will be harsher and work slower as well. I hope it help you!

Hello. This fork has soft springs without color indication. Knocking or clicking sound is normal for this type of cartridge. Check your steering column for dirt in bearings and proper tightness of steering ankor.

привет. Нужно закручивать ручку компрессии и пробовать пробивать вилку. Адекватная настройка, это когда при ударе колеса об землю чувствуется небольшой толчок в руки.

The best side of this fork is simplicity. Easy to service, good amount of hardness. If you need fine tuning - this fork is not for you

Hi, how do you take appart the cartridge? I have 2007 Marzocchi Bomber 66 RC2X and the low speed compression knob is broken and I would like to make a replacement part on a lathe, but there's no slot for a hex wrench on the bottom of the cartridge. Thanks! You make very good videos. Keep it up
Thank you, Tomás! There is no slot for hex key at all! There is two flat spots on the bottom of cartridge, literally 1mm height! BTW this part screw inside the tube and glued with RED thread lock. You need to heat tube around bottom part and then try to unscrew it. I hope this information wlii help you!

Hello! This is custom part made from stainless steel and only in one copy. Only thing I can suggest is to buy used cartridge or upgrade with RC2x cartridge.
Which brakeadapter could you recommend me for this fork? I need one for Avid Code 5.

If your fork has the same type of brake mount, you need IS to Post Mount (IS to PM) adapter, where IS on fork side and Post Mount on brake side. All holes in adapter must be threaded.

You can try to play with oil volume. In this fork it will work like air preload. But his adjustment is not so wide, because fork travel can reduce.

I think you need try to find local workshop and bring them broken part that they can make copy. Or you can try contact official diler of marzocchi in your country.

Does this open bath system work better than with a cartridge? I have a rst rone, and its cartridge does not work well, makes the suspension give a return noise, I was thinking of having a rod like that.
First of all, marzocchi, rockshox and other expensive forks/shocks can't be compared with rst, zoom and other same brands. For now I have 888 RC3 V2 with complicated cartridge and it works way better than this 888 VF2 or 888 RCV. It gives you infinite possibilities for tune it up. Open bath system works good, but it has limited possibilities for tune rebound or copression.
@@AXRV88 yes, but I didn't want to compare the brands, I just wanted your opinion, my idea is to turn my suspension (which has a really bad rebound cartridge and like I said, it doesn't work anymore) into an open bath suspension, even that has few settings
For me open bath system works pretty well.

Hi, mate! Look. First of all you fork can't work till point you show, because fork can work only till line under lower crown at right leg of your fork. I think your fork too hard for your body weight,. because of this it can't drop till the line marked on fork leg. Did you pressurise your fork for your weight? @@AXRV88 thank you bro, This is the bad point, I tried to change the pressure of my fork and don't worked, actually my pressurise is 0 its not working and including with 0 pressure I can't use the 100% of the fork (to the top leg)

How do i get the Red knob off, mine seems to be stuck
When you turn compression in (increase compression damping) you turn in shaft which hold red knob. When you turn compression to maximum you can remove red knob easily. Red knob also holds by O-ring on cartridge nut. Gently pull knob with flat screwdriver after you set compression to max.
