How do I replace a leaking dampner o-ring on a Rosa R rear coil over shock? It drips oil on the lower settings but not on the higher
Just try to change O-ring first. If it will not help, than maybe valve shaft is worn out.
Hello friend. I have one just like this with a leak in the return needle. Do you know what the measurement of the o-ring that goes on the return needle would be? If you can share the measurements of all the new o-rings I would be immensely grateful.
Hello Daniel. I'm sorry, but i don't know which sizes of o-rings in this shock. Try to search for service kit, they are usually write the parts and their sizes.
I don’t Get it because my Rebound thing is Rusty and you do it in To fast to see
How do you fix a coil shock rebound. My manitou swinger is leaking air/oil through the rebound knob and shaft. Rebound does not do much either and shock feels rigid more than it should.
I think it's time to change all seals and o-rings in your shock or even go to the shop to rebuild it.
How do you build 140 psi pressure? normal compressor wont do this right?
You're right, there are special high pressure pumps for shock absorbers. There are even more high pressure pumps for PCP guns that pump more than 200bar. But my cheap tire compressor can pump around 18bar.
I have the roco r without the preload knob. The procedure is the same ? Thanks 🤟🏻
I think procedure will be the same.
Where can I found the kit of o-rings for the revision?
Maybe on ebay.
Why didn't you just pour the oil out from the top? Why reinsert the main shaft to push it?
This method helps to prevent air bubbles inside of shock.
What’s the dimensions of the spring I can’t find it anywhere online
Josh, I don't know what spring dimensions. I think this spring is standard spring for rear shock.
I cant remove the spring
I have marzocchi roco with chrome shaft too
Fox dhx 4 oli 5w?
Will doing this stop the squelching noise thats coming from my shock?
Squelching noise appear when air is in oil system. When change oil try not allow air bubbles in oil.
Where i can get some parts for the roco?
Try to search on ebay
What type of oil you use?
Fork oil full synthetic 7.5w
if my rebound doesnt work what i can do?
In depends on what you mean. How it doesn't work?
@@AXRV88 my shock have oil leak
Then you need to change oil seals.
When i sit in my bike my rear shock compresses but it doesn't decompress please help P.S i have marzocchi roco coil r
I think rebound needle which inside shaft was stuck. Try to turn rebound knob from very slow to very fast couple times. Maybe it helps. Otherwise you need to disassemble shock and clean all inside. Maybe you need some special tools.
@@AXRV88 thank you I will try it
You're welcome!
Which side i have to turn to very fast
I don't know. I have no marzocchi rear shock.
I notice that you dont overfill the shock with oil when reasembly everything like the Other guides do. I do like this guide more cuz its simple and less messy but is There more risk to get airbubbles in shock with your way? Any reasons to overfill and mess everything? :)
Thank you for comment! Overfill will decreace risk of air bubbles in oil. If oil has no air in it, you need to measure it very precise. I recommend fill shock tube full of oil, because it guarated bleeding without air bubbles!
@@AXRV88 thanks for your answer!
Do I have have to overfill both tubes? How do i messure pistons position?
Got 70mm :)
You're welcome!
You need to overfill long tube right before install piston assembly. Shorter tube is for compensate volume deacreasing inside long tube. Piston position depends of travel of your shock, it values around 30-38mm. 70mm of what? I can't understand.
@@AXRV88 hi,can you pleas help me. When i sit on my bike and get up,my shock is getting back really slowly. Do you know why? I have same shock as you.
Hello, boki. Did you try to change rebound speed by turning rebound knob? And yes, you need to check air pressure in reservoir.
Peso 50 quilos no fox dhx 4 posso meter 5w ou so 7,5?
I use 7.5 w motorex or motul full synthetic oil
@@AXRV88 qual o melhor entre os 2?pois parece bem facil a manutenção :)
Eu gosto de como a Fox funciona melhor
My rebound fell out please help
Can you give me more details?
@@AXRV88 thank you for responding but i managed to get it back in after 3 hours
Nice! 👍
How much oil you use for roco?
I have never measured oil volume, but i think you need something around 200ml.
@@AXRV88 thx
Quanto vai de oleo?
around 200ml
Não medi, deve ser em torno de 200ml. É o suficiente para encher o amortecedor e o bujão. Sempre vai cair um pouco pq não pode ter ar no compartimento.
i have marzocchi roco coil r which has no piggy bank , do you know how much oil do i need to put in it and psi ?
I even can't try to help you without full info about shock, like year of production, length from one mounting hole to another.
i dont know the exact year but it came from a kona stinky 2008 and it has 8.5 inch i2i and 2.5 stroke
I'll try to find something about this shock.
thank you so much bike shops who can service some shocks are to far from us so i tried to get info online to service it my own
You're welcome! I'll try to find something.
the quantity of oil?
It discussed in the comments not once
Esa mantención está mal hecha nisiquiera saco el aire del interior
Where can I get the custom heavy duty chromed shock shaft? Thanks for the video too!
Thank you, balfaboy. Custom heavy duty shock shaft was made in one copy just for my shock. I go to one shop to make new shaft, then i go to another shop to polish it and then other shop to put chrome on it. Getting new custom shaft is pretty complicated.
@@AXRV88 ahhh... thank you for that info. I wasn't sure if this was something that was readily available.
You're welcome, balfaboy! If I will decide to start to make shock shafts, this info will appear on this channel. Sorry for my english :D
@@AXRV88Never need to be sorry my friend. Thank you for responding it is appreciated. Enjoy the ride!!
