What a brilliant actor.. he brought the thunder in that role.. so many layers. BSG is the best tv show EVER made.
Frick yes, and DS9 is the best Star Trek!
for the first two seasons at least
@@rowingaway explain?
Amen brother
His arc was the best! And James played it brilliantly! What a great show BSG is!
James Callis is an amazing actor, the character Baltar one of the best ever created, and the series one of the best ever created. Nervously excited about the new series which is thankfully set in Ron D Moore's BSG universe. I hope this means we'll see humanoid cylons again, Head characters, centurions...
He was great. He made you feel for Baltar and you even rooted for him.
Great actor so much depth to his character.
omg, great interview and so true. The world is not as generous. I loved his role and without it, BSG probably wouldn't have been as successful as it was.
James absolutely MADE the series, the realism and humanizing his character brought a much needed additional level to the show.
What an excellently done interview.
He did a great job bringing Baltar to life.
I would like to say, You seemed like my favorite person in the movie, then u said u we're spiritual and u mentioned the good,,u know wat,,ur definitely 1 of my favorite people of all time brother, may The Lord Jesus Christ God bless you and your family
I like his ending better.
He was to BSG what Loki is to the MCU.
superb analogy
He was excellent in the role but the writers flubbed the “Angel”-Number-Six plotline. Also, his proposed Moses ending happened... for Adama, though him thinking that was Baltar’s role is the most Baltar thing ever
James would make a great DR. WHO
"The real world is not as generous..." *wipes tear*. Me: 😭😭
1:40 Hm, Star Wars, Star Trek TNG - I remember a lot of eating in these shows. Probably, if I thought about it, other sci-fi-shows where eating is incorporated into the plot, sometimes as an important part, might spring to mind. Also, there were some eating scenes in the Stargate series....
Who would have been most likely to have been the one pulling the trigger in Callis' version?
Starbuck? Her last act as the instrument before departing?
what about head 6? that would be more in line with the spiritual part of the show. maybe taking him to 'heaven' and the raptor coming down has a bomb or something on it.
Tigh. What would've been great: Baltar's packing up to leave Galactica for the last time. The camera pulls back to reveal Tigh walking by his door. Tigh stops, reaches for his pistol, then shakes his head and walks on by, Baltar none the wiser.
Tigh really hated Baltar Lol
Head Baltar just how insane it would’ve been
Total 180 from the original Baltar.
Killed, [edited], brought back to the plot, outsmarted almost every time.......sat on a throne wearing a set of bad uniforms.
I like James idea for Baltar's end better than what we got.
Everyone's favorite traitor!
I mean you did good with time Allotted but 3 minute interview?
I wanted to see Baltar die... Mega kudos to James Callis for being able to draw out that emotion through his craft. Not sure about the ending... I liked the premise, but I felt that it was a little disjointed...
'no one goes to the bathroom.'
There literally was entire episode that was almost in the bathroom and it was unisex lol
I think he meant: "I liked BSG bc they DID show that.".
Actually his comment about nobody going to the bathroom is not correct. Baltar had a habit of chasing people down in the bathroom & he and Starbuck had a conversation while she was sitting on the pot when her door was missing from stall!!! :)
He was talking about how he brought humanity to Baltar/how Ron brought truth to BSG.
You want to drive James Callis insane ...I LOVED you on DS9!!
James and Alexander Siddig.....separated at birth?
Bryon Lape I'm glad I'm not the only one thinking that.
I used to think so to, now not so much. When they were younger perhaps but the King of Dorn has lost his youthful looks since DS9.
I thought the same thing. I suspect it's something to do with the fact they both studied acting at LAMDA.
I thought he will make a great Doctor Who .
I guess he isn't going to age
He’s the son of Dracula of course not 😅
Alucard!!
The way the interview clip was shot, it's like the interviewer randomly ran into James at an Olive Garden as he was in the middle of dinner with his family and she just pulled up a chair, plunked herself down, and started chatting with him. Luckily, he was professional enough not to tell her to F Off. 😁
So how does the new world the galatica humans immigrated to look now when Gais Balzar is old ? .The 11 nearest starsystems inhabitated with humans and 1 starsystem far away called ? Caprica
I think they should have gone with James' idea.
He was annoying as Baltar, but James is a heck of an actor.
Baltar was Great, but James is a great actor. so half correct.
