High Hopes is my favourite. I don’t know if you have caught it but David Gilmour did a concert at the Royal Albert Hall a few years back and his version of High Hopes in that concert was sublime. It has an extended acoustic solo at the end which is so beautiful it never fails to make me tear up.

I am an old man now……and I just love seeing young people like yourself, who are discovering Pink Floyd and all the other fantastic music that I grew up listening to. Unfortunately, a lot of todays music is just terrible, with computer generated music and voices that sound more like robots than humans. A lot of acts today can’t even play an instrument or sing that well. I love your passion and emotion for good music……and “hello” from New Brunswick 🇨🇦

Believe me when I say this, I saw Pink Floyd in 1994 on this tour here in New Orleans, LA, and it was more than incredible - it was totally mind-blowing. That was the BEST concert experience I've ever had, and that is going some when you consider all of the concerts I've been to and artists I've seen perform live beginning with Elvis Presley in Las Vegas in 1969. I had goosebumps for days following that concert.

I attend this tour in '94, I was 18 years old. Best concert ever... I couldn't believe it, I wouldn't have dream to see them live once, but when they announced it, it was exciting. I had listen intensively to them since I was 13. It was in Bordeaux, France, in an open place outdoor (place des quinconces...), in the center of the town, just close to the Garonne river... People were watching from their windows around the concert, but couldn't appreciate the "surround" sound with quadriphonic as we did in the crowd.

Along with my brothers, I saw this show in Pittsburgh. Since it was in 3 Rivers Stadium, air traffic to the airport had to be rerouted around the city to avoid the lasers. I remember going crazy in anticipation when David toyed with the audience at the beginning of this song. We all knew what song was coming up, we couldn't wait to hear it, but internally we were all a bit sad because we knew it was the end of the show. Another favorite of mine from this show is an instrumental piece, although they do say the full title of the song in the middle. The song was "One of These Days (I'm going to cut you into little pieces)". When thinking about that song, all I can say is "PIGS"!

It had been an amazing concert all the way through and when they finally played this the combination of sounds and light were like sensory overload and took us all to another plane of rapture. Astonishing concert and an eternal memory for those of us lucky enough to be present at one of the shows. Great news is however that they captured the essence of it on video for posterity and once you have had the chance to react to a few of the songs i cannot recommend strongly enough buying the video and listening to the concert from start to finish on the biggest screen you can find and the volume turned up to 11.

I've also seen The Floyd in Manchester, in Munich and in Barcelona. In my younger day's I also saw live, Led Zeppelin, The Who, Genesis and a whole lot more. For me there is no doubt, the best live band, ever, was Pink Floyd. Quite simply when you saw Pink Floyd you were getting classic song after classic song, delivered on the best sound system that was available at that time and of course the light show which was stunning. I'm certainly going to miss them in the future but non the less I have many happy memories.

Count me as another who loves to see new people enjoy this concert. I was at the show in the New Orleans Superdome for this tour that summer of '94. Problem was, our seats were in the upper level near the ceiling on the left side (looking at the stage, we were near the upper left side bank of surround speakers), so it was hard to see much of what was projected on the circle screen above the stage. Still a great show. I bought the laserdisc release of Pulse and could finally see what was projected on that screen - when something was actually projected for certain songs, and not just part of the light show.

While this crowd sounds impressive, it's actually the smallest crowd on the tour.
Earls Court = 19,534 spectators per show, but for 14 shows it becomes the largest audience with 273,474 spectators.
The biggest audience for the tour is: Ohio Stadium, Columbus Ohio USA, with 75,250 spectators for a single show.
As you live in Quebec, for three shows at the Olympic Stadium in Montreal, total audience = 187,302 or if you prefer: 62,434 per show night.

I´ve seen the show at "Hockenheimring" (A Formula 1 Racing Track). About 80.000 spectators. Open Air they used much bigger laser beams.

Recorded at Earls Court about a week before I saw them at that venue. The last Floyd gig I ever attended.

Yeah, that was the last song, and was perfect for wrapping the entire show. Those nights' setlist was:
    - Shine on you crazy diamond
    - Learning to fly
    - High hopes
    - Take it back
    - Coming back to life
    - Sorrow
    - Keep talking
    - Another brick in the wall, part 2
    - One of these days
    - (The full Dark side of the moon)
    - Wish you were here
    - Comfortably numb
    - Run like hell
Recently they released the rehearsals for "A great day for freedom" and "Lost for words" for that same tour.

A little bit of trivia... Original lyrics:
Cause if they catch you in the back seat
    Trying to pick her locks
They're gonna send you back to mother
    In a cardboard box
During the Pulse tour, Guy Pratt (the bassist) inserted the name of the city or location where they played. In this case it was "They're gonna send you back to London in a cardboard box".

It is probablly the largest venue I've ever seen.
Yes, that song is always the finale of a Floyd concert.

I'm an old dude. I went to 2 Pink Floyd concerts and the entire show was magic. 1978 Animals tour was the best show ever out of all the shows l have seen. Back then everyone was touring. It could be anyone.

I saw them at the Baltimore Arena and it was predictably epic. They were playing with a young man that had stayed with Stevie Ray Vaughan for a while and he was fully legit. His guitar playing was sublime. I wish I could remember his name.

If I remember correctly, there were thousands of varilights, and they had the most expensive staging ever 'till that time (1994). Way far expensive from any other. About 75 million U$D.
