Only way to understand Maya unfortunately is the mind. Avidhya, ignorance, is in the mind, hence Vidhya , knowledge of reality can happen only in the mind.

You can read the book called as "Sarvadarshan SarSamgraha" by Madhavacharya (8th Shankaracharya of Sringeri) even though it is like a commentary on them with an Advaita lens but it covers 16 philosophies present at that time in India

There is no war going between anyone and anything. This thought is against Advaita consiousness. Earth is going through upward cycle of Dwarpa Yuga. Unfortunately many people still think we are in Kali. No kali is over we are in upward cycle of Dwarpa. However even within Dwarpa yet we haven't reached to its peak. So indeed mankind waits for a very big lesson to be learnt so majority can move to Treta Yuga. So are you stuck in a yuga? No. Yuga's are nothing but divisions of time. There is a difference between typing Om Namah Shivaya and saying it aloud. Typing it is a metal thing, impacts u in a limited way(as in meta verse). saying it aloud impacts u physically. Your chest region can feel those vibrations from mantra.
