Damage per hit is not a great metric. Dinos attack at different rates. For example the bronto may hit a bit harder than some other dinos per swing, but those dinos can attack like 5 times before the bronto can hit twice.
DPS = Damage per second
@@xlotuzx5534 I know what DPS stands for but his thing is only damage per hit and not accurate or at least not official accurate as Bronto has an attack rate of 0.6 attacks per second not 1 attack per second. A level 1 bronto on official has a DPS of 36 assuming level 1 dino with 0 in all stats as a base. Which gives the Bronto the 49th highest sustained DPS not top 10. The top 10 on official based on RPSxDPH=DPS are Giganotosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus, Tusotheutis, Plesiosaur, Mosasaurus, Rex, Spinosaur, Basilosaurus, Therizinosaurus, Direbear. In that order and accounting for all attacks, whether right click or left click or other, whatever has the highest DPS for that creature. Edit: Want to add this is currently with what we have on the island and not including dinos to come on other maps. (If you can maintain water buff full time, Spino and Rex swap spots).
You even see it in the video when the rex attacks faster its DPS increases
Theri had almost 2 times more dps than yuty. 155 vs 82.
Don't forget to consider not just the damage of a single bite but also the attack speed.
A training dummy shows damage and dps separately for a reason.
Also there are special effects which add to DPS significanrtly. For example tamed megalodons and thylacoleos apply the 'bleeding' effect which deals massive damage to high HP dinos while giga ignores damage reduction(thus doing full damage to titanosaurs).
I would love to see dps list like stated in the tittle, base damage due to dino`s different attack speeds doesn`t seem useful at all.

Question, do you have a specific drop off situation for the dunk, it’s a lot of weight so maybe a swim up drop off area for big water tames. Maybe some 1/2 submerge vaults? The first time I tried to unload was a disaster. I got encumbered packages were floating everywhere.. except for where they needed to be. Lol! Just remember that per-hit damage is not everything. Attack speed also matters a lot. So while yes, the rex has a higher per-hit damage than the theri, the theri has a higher attack speed, so their dps is nearly identical, with the theri's actually being slightly higher. This is of course further complicated by other measures in a practical sense because rexes have more health than theris, so when you're leveling a creature for boss fights, you're likely going to put more points into health on a theri, therefore having fewer points left for melee damage.
Except for the fact Therus can eat veggie cakes so if anything are far better health wise for bosses.
The reason people use Rex's is cause their bite area and hit box are better. Also Theris get pushed around much more than in a boss fight.
Since you're not going to have people riding most of your boss fight dinos. Rex's are king cause they're the most effective unriden Dino.
Definitely need to keep hitting Training Dummy to get its real DPS. Thats what really matters. Maybe another video😉? Therizino has deadly DPS

Should of set the dummy to 5 second intervals to take into consideration DPS and not DPH. I like your videos teach put please be careful not to misinform viewers. Dont want to stunt your channels growth.

Would love to see more optimization. I can easily get worried looking at the ASA road map now because WC is pushing tons of content but the game has old bugs, new bugs, and crashes worse then ASE. Its shameful to think they killed ASE for this.
Im on ps4 and everything is great,no Bugs ,better Performance, bester visuals,on PS its great
I have to disagree due to the fact that the tuso can easily (if a high lvl), and put points into it can easily beat a mosa by far. Due it’s immunity to just about everything out there, ability to grab, better turning radius, and basically destroy anything before it gets to you. While the mosa u can get dismounted from it if u encounter jellyfish or eels (which suck), can be grabbed by a tuso, most of the time have to get up close to get things in order to kill them. The tek saddle may be great; however, in a proper game that’s an endgame item. :/
Starting to notice clickbaity titles. "Top base damage per second" would be more accurate because like some in the comments mention there are other variables that need to be taken into account like attack speed and stacks etc. to make your title hold weight.
Because if someone is actually trying to learn the game you're not teaching them anything by misleading them thinking brontos are meta combat dinos... or if they just ate a handful of medium size dinos with the carcha that it would shred the giga at only 50+ stacks..
Honourable mentions to Megalodon with +8 pack bonus and bleeds
I avoided pack bonuses and bleeds for this one or allo, carno, and thyla woulda been included
really sad you didn’t even mention the dire bear when it has a base damage of 65 and an insane AoE
