the new generation of gamers who are growing up with "pay to win" "battlepasses" "microtransactions" don't know the golden age of gaming where once you buy the game once, you get access to everything. So, they will buy into this crap and keep giving greedy devs and publishers money.
Yeah, but they also get games like ARK instead of Legends of Dragoon or Final Fantasy 9. As for greedy devs, that's a touchy one. We can't pretend they make these games for free, but in saying that, there's certainly a lot of *Cough, EA, cough* companies choosing the scummier route. You always get some bad practitioners in business and I'm not keen on painting everyone with the snail brush.
@tanepukenga1421 I have ark. The first one. I also play mobile games that have micro transactions. Difference is I don't pay money to win. All about self control and just kmowing.
I'm not against reasonable battle passes, especially if they Its just cosmetics. The companies still need profit to keep the game running. Supporting Indy developers can still help get you full games.
But also the fact to run it you need a good pc my self my rx 6900 hits 60 frames but some or alot of areas 30 have many settings on med or epic on 2k ultrawide
They will still know cause there are still a lot of games that do not have those pay to win/process mechanics, that all the big studios like EA do it doesn't mean everyone does it, there are still lots of indie studios that release amazing games and Nintendo may have many faults but they don't have PTW either (at least not that I know of)
@@YourLawyer27 No, it's wildcard. They chose snailgames for a reason, to get people like you to blame them instead of their team. In reality, they had a brand new IP worth half a billion dollars in their back pocket - with investors clamoring to give them money to be a part of it. As an owner of a development studio, there's very few reasons to take snail up on their offer above everyone else who offered to be silent partners and the only one that makes sense with what happened is scapegoat. It just so happened that this particular time they bit off more than they could chew (which they should have known from where they were based) and the scapegoat became a bone in their throat.

It's also because people are whiney bitches. People act like the pyromane is like god tier pvp game. Just don't buy it. Been playing Asa since launch and it feels the same with better building. Also who else has EVER released a free remaster? Come on 😂
It’s not that deep. A lot of people can’t afford to upgrade their PC. I have a lot of old tribe mates that still play ark ase because of that reason only.
@@trevorroels6414 I have that too, but it’s just not the same as PC. A lot of the people on consoles are not as good as steam players. But you do run into a lot of cheaters on steam.
I stopped following ark news after the first Scorched Earth delays for Ascended. So I didnt know about the Pyromane, but when I saw, I assumed it was a premium mod. Having a creature in the game for everyone but needing to pay to tame it ??? What the actual fuck ?
On ase u have more p2w things than asa have, u need pay to get every content from map and I think worse... in asa u dont need pay for pyro and if u raid someone with cryos pyro u can use it
@@xCl4udiu5xYou need to pay to get the maps, but not the creatures on said maps. Mods that add the other dinosaurs from paid maps to regular ones. They can still be used if you can get them to spawn. Even on Console there's still maps like Fjordur, Lost Island, Crystal Isles, Valguero, and Ragnarok that has a good amount of the DLC Dino's on it, for free. There are also unofficial servers that have more DLC Dino's spawning in on free maps Meanwhile ASA here literally has these Dino's and items, that can still appear if you don't have the DLC, you just can't use them at all if you haven't paid for it.which actively affects gameplay. Because it's taking up the place of other Dino's and items that could have spawned instead, that you actually could have used.
The Oasisaur was the same thing, but it was a lot better because it wasn’t as in-your-face and honestly, wasn’t as loaded with abilities. The pyromane is what people were worried about with paid creatures.
i only play ark offline solo every so often but it thought it was a paid add on mod and ignored it... but seeing people with it while you cant have it is pure P2W insanity.

What's with them? How that they couldn't add any performance update before? Maybe also enhance graphics a bit. Graphics look like shit on PS4 and optimization is poor. How can games like BF5 and CoD warzone looks so good on console yet this game can't? I'm just kinda sick noone talks about this and I love ark. I've played it with a friend ,but that was 4-5 years ago and game still hadn't gotten what we both discussed it should have.
Over 10k hours in ARK:SE...Even if they made ascended FREE I still wouldn't be interested. Wildcard has completely destroyed any confidence I had in them. Why would I waste more time in their game just to get unceremoniously wiped *AGAIN!*
Unceremoniously wiped? You mean they didn’t provide you a way to save your character and tames by allowing transfer to an unofficial server or single player mode when they shut the official servers down? Sorry, I’m new to ASE, playing on unofficial and single player so I don’t know.
@@litterbox2010 Oh good. I was mad enough when my character managed to die while I was logged off-I have no idea how since it’s a PvE server and everything is protected when we’re logged out. The Pyromane's problem is not only just pay to win, it's just not realistic for this setting and ARK IS A PRETTY UNREALISTIC GAME heck we have Wyverns yet they fit the setting. I thought Shadowmanes were Rockwell's creations in Gen Part 2, we shouldn't have a fire reskin and on top of that why does it need to be able to TRANSFORM into a chibi? Thats just too much for me, it feels cheap, unrealistic, and like a cash grab, not a genuine addition.
@@rgjs4537 Not my point man, you don't just throw a chibi transforming fire cat into a dinosaur game. A fictional dinosaur game should at least make a little bit of sense. If they wanted to add something they should've put some heart into it
I think people are forgetting why Wildcard is in the position they are in: Jeremy Stieglitz violated his non-compete with Trendy, and lost millions because of it, which was an absolutely stupid and avoidable move. They used development funds from Ark to settle the lawsuit by releasing the scortched earth DLC, before the original game was released, or major, gamebreaking bugs were fixed. Fck the users of the base game, they already payed so doesn't matter if development is delayed even further. Then he failed to do any research before getting into bed with SnailGames to bail them out. The second avoidable and absolutly stupid decision. This was all self-inflicted. Now they lost the rights to their own Ark IP, and any decision making capability what so ever. Do you think Jeremy learned to read contracts by now? What I don't understand is, that people still stand up for WildCard, when they clearly don't even bother to do the same for their fanbase. WildCard has no say, no integrity and no backbone. So if they are different from SnailGames or not doesn't matter. They don't stand up for themselves or their community.
I think people somewhat forget arks always kinda been p2w they are some very specific creatures in mind that were paid for creatures exclusively main creature being the reaper king they never spawned on a free map unless someone force spawn with commands on Val bloodstalkers only on Gen 1 I think people just don't like the pyromane because it spawns in the world still even if you don't buy it I agree that's retarded but I feel saying it's p2w is very one sided because then that's just us as a community being biest because it's a 5 dollar creature when some creatures cost almost 70 dollars (combined money from both dlc packs from ASE)
Weirdest thing I felt with the center is when they used the desertish looking ground/soil on this map almost everywhere you'll see it and it feels off to use on a jungle/island theme map... They should've just used more grass and made the ruins also looked overgrown like nature took over it for many many years :( even just painting the ground green would've probably made it look more ASE Center...
I know this is 2 weeks later lol but I also noticed that too today when I was playing on the center it looks verry ugly to me the desertish mud ground almost everywhere.
For real! Personally I think asa is phenomenal compared to ase. And I've mainly been running on arkpocalypse, but I would LOVE to have a primitive server. I miss when prim+ was still active.
👆🏼 Predicting this will be top comment. I miss when characters didn’t look like Clash of Clan characters. It has become so silly. Skin packs, dino packs, adventure packs, whatever.
I think the game died, when it was possible to farm element. The bosses were only Engramm unlocks after that. And the Endgame was way to easy with unlimited Tek use
Always been a shit show, the idea was always there but they've never been able to deliver a positive gaming experience. Even back in the day when you're enjoying learning everything, you're playing at 20 fps on console with constant crashing and endless bugs. I have a 4090 now and when ASA released I felt like I was back on xbox one.
The DEVS Lied to the community. They said ASA was built from ground up, but it’s not. It’s same “lazy” code from ASE. They just Lazy copied it into UE 5.0/5.1. Slapped on few minor upgrade and game updates then called it day. Slapped full Price on it. There is ZERO optimization on it, it has Same bugs as when ASE launched back 2015. Where at least ASE has years of bug fixes. Don’t forget wildcard is run by snail games. Scam of company who supposedly invested ark money, and snail games put all that money into EV car company, then it went bankrupt. If rumours are true. So all money snail/wildcard made. GONE. They are broke. Or that is the rumour. And maybe why they dropped the free ASE to ASA upgrade. Cus they needed money again. Devs said ASA is running UE 5.2. They have lied. I swear it running UE 5.0 or 5.1. Not 5.2. How we know this? Remember when UE 5.0 matrix demo came out? It ran horrible. Epic made a lot fixes, bug tweaks and optimization in UE 5.2 to 5.3 and now 5.4 is the latest UE version. So that why feel bland, runs like crap even on 4090. Didn’t Jess or was Jeremy one ark devs say on Twitter, that they would never go MTX or pay to win? Lol Bs. The high end game content should be locked behind instant, like they do in wow. When enter the raid. It’s separate raid. You have be in party to fight the bosses with chance of high end loot dropping. Player can roll for loot. It’s not perfect. But at least it stop tribes camping at spot and locking it away from all other players. But yeah devs don’t care. Clearly none of them have ever played classic wow back in the day. When was good. It’s now shit game also, Cus all good devs left/quit and got corrupted by Activision. Now ms owns same corruption. Snail games is a cancer.
I put this on Nooblet's video but I wanted to extend it here as well H.O.D since I've seen all of the counter-points out there from the WC sycophants that defend this (which they have a right to of course) 1) Many people will argue that there wasn't as much controversy within the community when the original paid map expansion DLCs came out, and I'd like to note that's a false narrative. Kishko notably stopped playing becuase he recognized how much of a detriment to the original game Extinction was -specifically the managarmr. However many players before then, notably those that either couldn't afford to, or didn't want to, buy the DLCs found it unfair - you could be raided from a map you couldn't access, dinos and equipment were added that continuously tipped the scales, and many balance patches needed to be applied. It was ALWAYS an issue. -Here's the counter point to that: Eventually free DLC maps were added that gave access to many of those engrams and dinos. Unlike the Pyromane, you could still use any dino/equipment yourself from DLC you didn't own if someone gave it to you (freely or in PvP), and those maps were, well, maps! Is the shadowmane as (1) dino, really worth 1/4th the content of say, Aberration? Of course not. It's substantially more bang for your buck AND it expanded the game content which led towards Ark as a completed game - the collector's edition which contained all DLC. 2) "Developers need to get paid, they're a business" and you're absolutely right! They do! However, the devs of Rust, Fortnite, myriad other survival and PvP oriented games have managed to integrate paid mechanics that don't tip the scales in the favor of those who either have the funds, or have the desire to support them. The cambridge definition of P2W is as follows: "involving or relating to the practice of paying to get weapons, abilities, etc. that give you an advantage over players who do not spend money" cut and dry, the Pyromane & Bob's tall tales, some could argue even more-so than the previous DLC maps, are P2W content. Specifically because as previously stated, you cannot access this content whatsoever unless you pay for it. The issue ISN'T the community not wanted the devs being paid: why would they have bought the game in the first place afterall? That argument is purely a straw man fallacy. The issue is that ASA promised all the previous DLC for free, and they are obligated to keep that promise. The paid DLC now unequivocally adds an advantage over those that don't give in, to those on the same map. Those that don't have BTT had the Oasisaur drop golems and titans dropped on them. Those that don't own the Pyromane will have their walls rocket ran and selves set on fire. The devs need to be paid of course, but that's what premium mods and cosmetic items are for, as well as their deal with Nitrado which SHOULD have been to their financial benefit, and of course the initial purchase of the game. 3) It's only 5 bucks. Correct, good catch, it is only 5 bucks. It's only 5 dollars that everyone individually needs to pay, from the CEO who plays in his off time to the 11yo kid in poverty playing at his friend's house. As long as all current roughly 45k people playing ASA buy it, then it's an even playing field! But then what? The next 5 dollar, 10 dollar, 20 dollar P2W dino/item/engram comes out. By the end (assuming they ever stop) you'll have put over 3-4x (135-180usd) the cost of the original game JUST to either have an advantage over the regular player, or to "support the devs" on a handful of dinos and items, when originally half that price granted you 6 whole maps with their associated tames and items. ASA is currently 45usd. BTTs is 30usd and the pyromane is 5usd. With JUST those 2 DLCs alone we're at 78% the cost of the initial game - does that sound like it's a fair deal to you? The issue isn't it only being 5 dollars. The issue is it's a slippery slope that isn't just a fallacy, it's a historical trend for developers to push the envelope AND you're being objectively cheated. 4) it's not that op. This one is almost self-explanatory. Shoulder-pet to ridden on a dime, can bypass enemy foundations negating the cryopod changes, infinite shoulder-mounted flamethrower, pre-saddled with 60armor, will be able to/can be bred for mutes, is entirely fire-based which is the current meta, AND is a passive tame that you can get almost immediately if you make a trap for it. Is it going to beat a giga or carch? No, but neither do most if any previous DLC dinos. What it will do is give a clear and definitve advantage in PvP that bypasses all the current mechanics in ASA and again, isn't accessible to anyone that hasn't paid for it. 5) stop crying. Why? If your neighbor gets their roof's shingles re-done and thinks the job is poor while you don't, your opinion doesn't negate nor trump theirs. They have just as much a right to demand more from the service they've elected as much as you do a right to be content with yours. The issue with this argument is quite literally, constructive criticism will always be to the benefit of the whole, while sitting back in complacency will only benefit the originators of the service. The community at large doesn't like what's going on - and presumably if the detractors left à la "if you don't like it, get out" you'd be left with a truly dead game, as that opinion is the current minority. For every mesh hole fix, for every PvP rebalance, for every DLC that became a free modded map, for every cheater that got reported, behind them all was someone raising the flag of discontent and concern. You don't complain about something becuase you DON'T care about it, you complain because you do - that applies to everything in life. From a dino survival game, to your job, to marriage, to life, you should want to fix what's deemed broken - to better. Content creators are there to give a voice to the people, because they've put the work in to build a platform, and they've promoted the game a LOT more than bob-schmo beach-man. Lastly, I'll just say this. Most everyone that's watching this video, and HOD, and Shane, and Xavii, and every content creator that isn't simply meat riding - we all want the game to succeed, and by extension, studio WC, and to a lesser degree for obvious reasons, Snail Games. We love Ark. It's truly a bang for your buck game and unique - but there's a limit to what the community can/should take. If the detractors of this argument TRULY believe in what they're saying then fine - go and buy copies of ASA for the people you know, go to the WC store and buy their merch, and buy every premium cosmetic mod you can - it will ALL support the devs in a way that doesn't support unfair gaming practices or encourage their implementation. You can tell from the lack of Ark videos from your favorite or even lesser known YT'ers and streamers that the game is essentially on life support - everyone needs to encourage WC and SG to benefit the community in a way that can actually garner them a desire to support the game - becuase currently, most are feeling cheated. Literally, and figuratively.
Well said pilgrim. It's wild to me that many try and defend this. I'm glad many can see this is the beginning of the end if we as a community let it slide. Hopefully they come around and can stop now before it's too late for the game we love 😔
@@HODunfortunately I don’t think they will change. Ima be real with u I think triple a games as a whole are a done deal. In this current space the only games making headlines for being good games and not blatant money grabs are basically souls games and indi dev games
I did enjoy how ASA looks when it 1st came out. Visiting the island again and it looked amazing but they didn't need to do it and paying again for a upgraded version that we already had was disappointing
I agree with all of this. I have been a long-time Ark player and have done both large tribe and solo play. I’m very disappointed that as a solo or small tribe this time, it’s so hard to do anything if you aren’t in a large tribe. I’ve started on ASA multiple times, tamed, built up and end up just giving up & letting stuff despawn because it just doesn’t feel worth it. Can’t go anywhere else but the map I’m on without making a cryofridge, generator, etc ..and that breaths the whole point of remaining a solo hiding out in the shadows. There’s no more just loading into another map to scout around or go for a particular resource. The beaches are littered with cryofridges and that limits new players from being able to find a spot to build and learn the game. It’s just a mess right now and I regret buying it. My friend & I returned to ASE just so we could play on the same platform together, but even that is lackluster with no actual official servers anymore.
not being able to scout around other servers is one of the biggest losses as a pve player on official...there was days on ase i didnt do anything else especially on event..just explore what other people created and taming some colors..really missing that..
Our studio is working on something like that. It's like ARK combined with Delicious in Dungeon but you play as multigenerational characters. And yeah, the market has been wide open for a decade (as Palworld showed) with only 3 other major competitors in the works to release in the next 5 years.
HOD, just move on to better content and games. We all know ASA won't get better no matter how much time has passed. It will draw in more players with more maps, but at that point, the game will be filled with functional, paid DLC content and crossovers (like MMPR). ASA almost has ASE beaten, we'll definitely see the trend flip when Ab releases even if it's a 2/10 remaster. I admire the fact you're holding hope, but buddy, it's just not happening. Wildcard doesn't seem to be interested in community reception unless we're threatening them or being overly annoying in Discord. They proved to be out of touch with the initial announcement and it took three tries to get the business model right. Remember what Wildcard said about The Center immediately after release? We are currently working on a major update for The Center, which includes numerous fixes for visual issues, polish, level design, and bugs, such as an issue with Pyromane Breeding on servers, and the inability to build in some spots around the map. Many of these fixes have been queued up in advance, but due to maintaining cross-platform compatibility and certification requirements, we had to wait to release them. Now that the release is out the door, we’ll be working on getting this patch out ASAP, ideally, we can have it released or into cert before the end of the week. ^ literally admitting TC wasn't finished and they couldn't be bothered to delay to at least get the map fixes they have ready finished... Much respect, but don't hold your breathe.
I think the current state is perfectly encapsulated by the recent trailers. When WC was just getting their foothold/cared about the game, it felt like they took it seriously. The ASE Scorched Earth Trailer may not have been some flashy thing, but it was serious, and honestly got me extremely hyped to play the new "hard" ark. It looked cool, challenging, and completely broke open the games story. It was/is buggy, but someone cared about it. Now, we get this new game, and you watch the new Scorched Earth trailer, and the "serious" stuff looks meh, and then there's all this added goofy cowboy bs. It quite literally has shifted the thought process from, "Look, we're trying to be serious game devs," to "The community thinks we're a joke, so we might as well be a giant joke. Give us money, and don't forget to reset your despawn timers." I think that kinda goes hand in hand with the divided community you mentioned where the game is having the identity crisis of sticking to its roots as a serious survival game with unintended jank vs embracing that jank as almost intentional design to dodge the accountability of designing mechanics properly and trying to pass it off as a goofy kids games. Unfortunately, I'm only willing to support games that produce substantial dlc not microtransactions, so I had to let this game go. I love it dearly, but they've chosen their path. I'm under the impression the best thing we can do is don't play it if it's not worth playing. One less addiction in my life. Good video mate.
One thing that I’ve found which many people might flame me for but idk, caves need to be changed. I genuinely don’t think you should be able to build in them at all. Me and my friends like to play smalls, we’re good but not good enough to take over the major caves. What we find is if you don’t get a major cave you cannot survive. What this does is make it so only a couple tribes (the ones who have the caves) can be on a server. When new servers drop they are PACKED, then once the caves are taken. The whole server dies. It’s not fun especially for groups like mine where we are experienced and good, but can’t play enough to take these caves.
the problem is its not viable to live outside caves. especially once Extinction launches. it used to be viable back on ASE but Wildcard has destroyed their own game and made it impossible for people to live outside anymore. 100 turret limit is just not viable. its so fast and easy to offline an outside base.
….i honestly do not find anything wrong with this…especially coming from a mod developer myself.. We’re finally getting paid and the recognition for the work we did, where as before that wasn’t the case at all. I don’t think this is an issue because the game still functions as is without those paid creatures/maps/items. These mods are not only compensating the mod creators but to gauge the audience for it too, to see if it should be implemented into the game or not. If it truly bothers you don’t buy the mods. But they are definitely not pay to win lol (Before anyone says anything I am in my 30s…and played ark since launching on PC.)
The dlc are pay to win. But modding support is great though 👍 but currently I can't play pvp without these pay to win creatures they ruin the game play loop. So it's different areas of the game
I've played many games over my 32 years of life, its become a sad yet common occurence having to let go of a franchise you used to love. Halo, Destiny, COD, the early battlefeilds and of course ASE. It hurts remembering the memories playing these games in their prime and what they've become.
It's not because gaming is dead, gamers are. Nobody likes the real challenge anymore. Aiming against another player with a pc? No way! Let's enable crossplatform so i can destroy console players. On the other hand: playing against other players from xbox series x with upgraded fps and all the shit? NO WAY let's play against 11 yo consoles. Having to risk to lose all my loot for a dinosaur i didn't even see? NO WAY let's boost my character speed tob180% pretending i'm good in movement. I mean ase wasn't a challenging game at all. Gaming is dead from the same titles you mentioned, fps are dead since the first cs and cod game came out because the real fps are the arena, not this "tactical" no hands games
Third person shooters are much better in general, think about gears of war 3, the last of us (pvp was great) and plants versus zombies garden warfare 2 they were the best. If you know the last title, neighbourville died since release because the gameplay is trash and pvzgw2 is still alive for a reason

I tried reinstalling ASE after I bought ASA and realised that the "remaster" had made the game unplayable on my PC (like it literally would crash constantly at startup and wouldn't allow me to create a char without crashing) - I finally got it working and then it started crashing randomly and was horribly laggy, even on low graphical settings / resolution. ASE was no better, sadly, and despite the game being well within my PC's capability, it runs like crap and crashes a tonne more than I ever remember in the past... It's crazy how both versions of this game have been ruined in the time it's taken for ASA to get to this point - I had really wanted to play Ark and experience that fun again trying to tame dinos and make progress with friends, but it's impossible with the game in the state that it is in 😢
They fixed this issue by making character creation screen look like crap on PS and Xbox, I had to turn my graphics all the way down until I got in game to get it running on PC good and thdn once I made a character it was Ok but still game sucks.

I've watched you for a few years now and would occasionally pop in to watch your vids only recently but I still do enjoy them a lot. I hope you're able to move on from Ark and find more success if the Ark videos don't work out for you. Good luck man.
If they did servers where there was only dinosaurs and primitive stuff it'd be so much better. I once played a no flyer server too on the centre map, it was the most fun I had in years.
ASA is only worth it from a dedicated/private server standpoint. Where you can control the balance of things. Sadly officials are just getting ruined more and more each update
@andrew5744 true sadly. But it's the only state it's really enjoyable in. We went the self hosting route. Which they made more difficult than it needs to be. But official is just absolute cancer now lol
They killed the game when they introduced Tek and everything that came after it. Ark was a super cool dino survival game and they completely killed that indentity.
@@MeLlamoBautiTek was not always in the game. It ruined the game. It added layers to the game that made it even harder to get the same stuff that big tribes have. Tek is probably the biggest reason that ruined the game, and the dinos moving from dinos to bs game breaking animals.
"They need to do this..." or "They need to do that...". Wrong. You/We need to stop supporting shitty companies. Not just with gaming but restaurants and shopping centers in general. This is no different. We have the power. Take a poll for the next game to support that deserves it.

I agree. People do not realize companies are run with money and by people who mostly do it for the money. It is not that complicated. I bought ASE way back and it is still my most played game on steam. Now I hear of this ASA and it just seems like a shitty product so I have not bought it and most likely never will. Just because it is ark does not mean it is a good buy. Vote with your wallets people! It is sad to see what has happened to this IP though. Hopefully ark2 becomes a banger though I doubt it.
I really wish the Single-player experience wasn't ignored by youtubers or the dev/publisher. As a Single-player only gamer, this is pretty great, getting all the expansions for free and an absolutely beautiful upgrade that I'm happy to pay for. Great Quality of life updates and I just can't go back to Evolved due to how terribly bland it looks in comparison. Only problem from a single-player experience I have is bugs and the fact the gameplay is tailored to multiplayer. The multiplayer in this game is only good when you play with a small group on a server you own. I can't believe anyone plays on official after experiencing it for 15 minutes, you guys are insane. Also "the graphics look slightly better" Slightly!? Sir, do you have eyes?
The last time I played Ark, my buddy and I took extra steps to keep a low profile and build a metal base in an unpopulated location to avoid being raided quickly. We occasionally saw a player on a dragon flying around and we always tried to hide when we saw him. We were playing on the original map and could not even get a dragon ourselves without going to a DLC server. One day when I logged on, the dragon player was in the middle of wiping our metal base since apparently dragons can break through metal too. So we were wiped out by a player with a dino that we didn't even have the ability to get unless we paid extra money and went on a different server first.
There's several problems with ark. The introduction of pay to win creatures is an enormous issue but, more so for me, is the change in content. ASA has focused more on adding strange new content that doesn't fit with a "dinosaur" game - a flaming cat? Giant floating sentient rocks as bases? What happened to introducing new, interesting, primal dinosaurs and ancient creatures? It feels more gimmicky than anything else. Like a cheap, chinese MMO. I'd much rather they had introduced creatures like you find in some of the mods made by the community. e.g. the barsboldia mod. The modder not only created a new dinosaur but gave it amazing looking, medieval, monster-hunter style armour. More like this would be far better received by the community, I think, than a flaming cat. I would fully support the addition of more of this style of creatures, buildings, equipment and mechanics. i.e. more medieval level variety, with a touch of fantasy, rather than a multitude of high tech gear and ridiculously op magical rainbow monstrosities. Bring ark back to its ROOTS. The ability to hook tames up to a cart to transport items was a big plus, why not add more things like this? Simple, effective improvements. A bigger variety of weapons, different kinds of alchemical compounds like poisons and boosts derived from cooking with different ingredients. Small creatures capable of tending a planted garden and providing crop growth boosts, more insect creatures, new weather mechanics like floods or storms... I miss the days when you'd be sniping people in pvp with a bow and arrow, you'd hear a shout go up "they're through the east gate!" and you'd turn and find a brachy decimating your walls only to be pushed back by your allies as your flying rat patrol mutilates the rider. People don't want fancy, they want fun.
Did you guys really not see this coming? I guess I'm just ahead of the curve. I never listed to the "the devs are just doing their best" bs that the fanbase has been spouting for years, trying to make it out like Snail is the only problem. I never forgot that the reason WC is owned by Snail in the first place is Jeremy's shading business practices, violating his own non compete clause. When the fans tried to say it was because WC was a small studio, I pointed out that they were big enough to split their studio to fail at Atlas. Yes, lets not forget this isn't the first time WC has failed at an Ark clone. It's not the first time Snail has been involved in an Ark clone and most of those were abandoned. I also never forgot that fan is short for fanatic and these people's opinions weren't reasonable. Even now they're claiming this new $5 reskinned Shadowmane isn't P2W. I started playing Ark a bit late in 2018 after Extinction dropped. I quit official servers almost exactly a year later because of the way the fanbase behaves and I was only playing PVE. It was obvious to me that the fanbase would be split the moment they doubled back on their announcement it would be a free upgrade. The fans came to rescue them again. "It's a business, they expect to be paid for their work!" Yes, it's a business, and they're suffering from making a bad business decision. Let me remind you that Skyrim, one of the biggest selling games of all time released an upgraded Special Edition, Skyrim in a newer engine for free to those who owned the game already. Let's not forget the fact that this is a remaster... in EARLY ACCESS. WC has a history of incompetence and they're never going to change because the same people have their hands in the cookie jar. People like Cedric who never follow up on what they say they're going to do. People like Dolly who seems to spend more time thinking about what edgy thing she's going to say on Twitter than showing any evidence that she's in tune with what's going on with the fans. And MORE completely unfinished content, nabbed from modders. The Center, Ragnarok, Valguero, Crystal Isles, Lost Island, Fjordur... NONE of these were finished when made official and at least two of them were stripped of all the assets that made them unique. Why are you surprised? I play on another youtubers servers (ASE) and he's completely lost momentum on his ASE let's play series of videos and keeps putting out more and more ASA content. The vast majority of people on his discord don't care and most of the players who play on his servers can't even afford to run ASA. ASA runs like crap, but the fanbase always plays the "It runs fine for me" card. Move on, dude.
Man i remember watching your videos on ase in the ratholes, also clamen, exfibo, muntage, shane, and many others, greatest times of my gaming career and watching those legends😢
Jyst started the game for the first time a week ago... been watching videos on the game and opinions. 80% of the negative videos are PVP complaints. Doesn't matter what game it is. If its PVE & PVP simultaneously the PVP community are always the complainers. Solo/Co-op PVE with family is great. I have only played on island so far, looking forward to checking out the rest of the maps in time. Great game
OTHER MAIN ISSUES WITH ASA PVP: 1.Game performance, (No other game comes to close to how poorly ark servers/game perform, I get its a mmo with alot of things going on at the same time but just look at rust their servers run 10x better than ark and some servers have more than 800 players on them.) 2.Raid balance, (alot of caves are way to hard to raid rn, all you need to do is sit there with a stego and block off the entrance if they decide to terror run and if they grapple the stego just heal with a pig/cakes or throw out a new stego. Also with cryo changes its makes it pretty hard to soak turrets, plus with the new turret settings you can set them to ignore turtles. Unlike caves its too easy to soak on land, should maybe buff turrets to 1.5x or nerf stegos.) 3.Foot pvp/dino rebalance, (even though it is a dinosaur game foot pvp isnt as strong as it should be imo, foot pvp is alot more fun/skill expressive than sitting on a dino pressing bite, I think it would be cool to see a 50/50 ratio between foot pvpers and dinos in big raids/defense. Main killers of foot pvp rn: carchas way to fast, player speed a little bit to low, no cryos, and kill time is to slow against other players unless bolad. would like to see better registration from weapons, tlc to weapons: buff to some weapons, nerf to flame, increasing use of attachments/adding more like a grip/extended mag,.) 4. To hard for new players, ( Maybe adding rat holes/small caves that are very hard to raid but offer limited space. ) 5.cheating There are deffo alot of other issues with asa but even if WildCard fixed/improved half of these issues game would be thriving imo. Would love to see some sort of pole/videos put together by some of the big ark youtubers that list all of the main issues with asa, and atleast this way if WildCard dont change anything after that we'll know for sure there's no saving the game.
Caves and ratholes need to be harder to raid. We have people that work full time jobs and play Ark. This game requires a lot of time. Not just one week but many months. The pay to win help with the mental health too instead of stressing about losing everything. Without pay to win Alpha or mega tribes will continue to dominate everybody.
My friends and I havent played ASA since the Island, and even then we quit because of all the crashes. But when SE came out with its p2w DLC we hard-noped in it, and it looks like the Center has its own p2w creature so we won't be coming back for that either. I agree with the blandness too. The colour pallette in ASA seems to be this sandstone desert brown almost yellowish tone everywhere. Even the Redwoods weren't red they were brown iirc. Other odd details stood out too like silica pearls looking like rocks and no longer glowing. Just all in all, ASA is a letdown and if my friend circle (easily 15k hours between us) is representative of the playerbase at large, no wonder the player count is in the gutter, because we aren't playing anymore and likely won't be back unless WC does a complete 180.
@dbzfreak458 iirc it also had treasure maps that lead to phat loot that you can only use if you bought the dlc. The literal definition of pay to win there.
Thanks man 💪 I really hope they can bring it back from here, but I'm worried its just the start of the pay to win and lack of caring we will see from here if we don't keep calling out... I've seen your vids about the rat hole stuff too its so frustrating to see them think that this bed spawn system is acceptable. Its just such a slack way to try and fix something. just a sign of how little they care now i feel like.
New Center looks ugly. Drained of all its color and charm, replaced by a wash of tan rock. Ice castle looks depressing. Lava Island and Half-Burnt Island are just jungles now. I don't like the direction Ark is going. I'm prepared to be disappointed by Aberration (my favorite map). Pretty much lost all hope for Ark 2 being any good also.
It was so heartbreaking for me to loose all the trust and enjoyment i had in ark1 for 4k hrs. But now i know that every single day we will get more and more p2w content. And it's physically painful to watch how game with so many good memories just dies in your arms
Im still playing ASE, partially because if people with 4090s are having problems, my 3060 can't do anything. Ive always played Singleplayer. So im not as bothered by the shut down of the official servers. Though the worst part is that all the bigger mod developers are mocing to ASA to develop mods. So we probably arent gonna get any new, good mods or mod maps anymore. I wish I had the experience and time to make my own
Well, they removed official ORP servers which knocked out at least a 4th of their player base, theyre screwing over their pvp communities by nerfing. The entire game at this point is a big cash grab, they lied to their entire community about it pretty much the entire time and trying to make ASA a standalone PvE p2w game and refuse to listen to anyone in their community unless if snail games is the one saying anything they wont do anything or listen. They dont even need to make a new dlc to get them out of the hole theyre in just listen to your damn community. Fix the fundamentals of the game add in the modes people wanted like official orp and stop adding in p2w bs that forces your hand if you want to play a game. You cant spawn in a rathole and caves are buggy, its all just a PVE trashy cash grab by snail games and nitrido. If they just did what they promised and add in everything that was in ASE how it was in ASE and stop ruining things like cryopods. If you want to rework something add in things like in ci where owning artifact caves didnt lock people out of progression and listen to the community.
"Locking down artifact caves has destroyed the game" this is one of the main reason i only play unofficially now. The server i play replaces artifacts with snowglobes, you can get around 100 in blue drops (gamma 100, beta 250, alpha 500) meaning artifact caves can now be built in and EVERYONE has fair access to end game. Like to see official implement something similar, with artifacts instead granting special bonuses for placing in base on pedastal or something. Like, 1 artifact grants boosted maturation, another grants increased structure hp/ defense by a percentage etc. That way there would still be a point of running the caves but wouldnt be so necessary for end game! Just a thought!
If that idea is too OP there's a simple solution....... from the time it's collected it starts to degrade whether its in a pedastal or not, say 48 hours? Meaning every 2 days you'd need to run the artifact again or claim the cave, the bonuses wouldn't be SOOO op that attacking the cave is impossible, but would be enough that tribes would want to fight over them, even raid the current occupants
Hi, I am a former movie picture director and got very interested of this game from the past two years I have watched people playing it in a way which had never inspired me before. I personaly go through hard lifetime ordeals, but as this game helped me feeling better, I promess to make it reborn from the ashes.
One of the things I hated about this remaster was the fact that they didn't even bother to implement a proper first person perspective. You're still running around as a pair of arms 2 feet from the ground and it makes me feel sick to play like that
Wildcard need to listen to you, no doubt the franchise pays your bills and puts food on your table, your invested as much as a dev but your a player your point of view is honest and on point, its money for them if they listen, great video!!
I don't know hod but i think the game was p2w from the beginning if someone attacked me from se for example and i don't have se i cant attack him that's p2w but i am agree with the other stuff about fixing all the other shit in the game
Ark always be p2w game, for new dinos u need buy dlc in ase, or for making a faster progress like on extiction where u can Easy farm ele, or unbalanced gen2 etc
You could atleast trade or steal the wyverns from other players instead of being completely denied the chance of using them. Nor did you have wyverns flying around the island whilst you tried doing anything else, imagine a new player thinking hm, I could get that- they explore the map unknowing of the fact they had to buy the Individual dinosaur dlc... get to the egg and it says "you don't own this", it's cheap and it's sad to see it get to this point.
i mean come on just buy the DLCs. Its not pay to win its just pay to play. people will buy a $7 energy drink but not spend $35 on a dlc they will spend hundreds of hours on.
@P1DZz I don't mind them charging for extra content until the content directly interferes with the gameplay, if I'm on the island I don't need to worry unless someone transfers- truthfully I actually like that, but currently on the center you are forced to either pay and have a advantage over those who don't, or simply be the one with the disadvantage, I understand they need to make money and I'm actually a huge fan of bob tall tales, but what they did with the pyromane isn't good design, it's scummy. The reason I like bob tall tales over this, is I had the impression most of the items it added were going to be either cosmetics or strictly utility base and not exactly pvp oriented, which I'm all for, I understand that sometimes they can add something that players can find a way to exploit, but that can always be fixed, however the pyromane is 5 dollars by itself, your stuck with it if you play on the center, and unlike the Oasisaur , it's geared towards pvp, it's meant to be overpowered. I would happily pay 30 dollars for a bob tall tales pack for some of the non Canon maps, as long as it followed the utility, almost pve like dinosaurs and tools- I don't want it adding overpowered stuff like the pyromane, if we could go back in time I'd pay the 30 for what I just mentioned and just make the pyromane free - I'd be completely fine with that. As a side note I would like other players to be able to use Tamed and crafted items from any bob tall tales pack, I think it's already a big enough disadvantage that you can't regularly tame or craft the items, if you trade or take them for example you should be able to use them.
Idk lol. I agree fuck wildcard and snail but from the generic standpoint, saying the center looks like the island isn’t a strong take. They feel about as different now as the original two maps did
People are complaining about Studio wild card but the real offenders is Snail games, the real top owners who are in charge of the game and what goes on, plus the company made studio wild card sign a contract that included "oh and any actions or say towards the game, you must say as your own". Talk about a lot of false advertising. I never touched Ark SA, since a lot of SE is left unfinished, as well as another thing because here is a side note, there are two types of players, the people who say they like tek because its rewarding turn out to be people who really have a huge ego. Of course people who hate tek because Tek has no counter except tek.
This video sums up what everyone I know thinks. One thing you mentioned that I can't stress enough is tek. If tek were completely taken away, or if it were made accessible to everyone by either decrease boss difficulties or adding other methods of obtaining it it would do a lot in terms of population. In addition, secondary artifact spawns, I've been screaming this for years man lmao. Hopefully they see this and the feedback in the comments, and take it to heart
Yeah that sums it up pretty well. Ark is in limbo, and ASA needs to get better and stop pushing bullshit DLC. I run both a ASE cluster and a ASA cluster (PvE), and all my long-time members just want me to launch fresh ASE servers at this point. I'm about ready to oblige them. Fingers crossed that ASA gets turned in the right direction.
ARK has become the senior citizen who buys a sports car and plays rave music with the windows down. It's being turned into a fucking joke! Will I fuck buy into the micro transaction bollox. Is this the "surprise" Wildcard was hinting at? Well, they surprised the shit out of me!!!
This has been my ark experience every time I try to play online; I find a server and create a new character. I run around for 2 hours looking for a place to put a base with no luck because there are pillars everywhere. I give up and play something else. I've done this several times cause I want to like this game but never get to play unless I play offline
Well the thing is that it doesn't matter how greedy they are, we will buy no matter what. They don't really care about the freeloaders, but how much more money they can make off the ones who pay.
It won't be the dev's, you need to look a little higher on the company payroll to see the culprits. Dev's are never in charge of financing unless that specific dev owns the company too
Because of what they did to us in ark one I will never play one of their games ever again I don't care how good it is I will not waste my life or time on that just so they can erase everything that I do
They need to add crouches back to caves and make new smaller caves and move artifacts to the outside like valguero and crystal isles, and make cryos work like the used to, the game would be much better than it is now but the devs are all pve players so they won't lift a finger
very frustrating, I didn't know about the rathole issue until I found a rathole on scorched, tamed a moth just to get up into it threw down foundations put down a bed and nope can't spawn, really took the wind out of my sails as I thought I had found a good spot.
I disagree about the Graphics and the visual criticism of ASA. Personally I love the way ASA looks and I strongly prefer it now over how it used to be. I do agree with the rest of your points.
Ratholes are a must have, and this is coming from someone whose typically a solo player. And even when I had 5 people, we still needed ratholes cause of how impossible it is to have a defendable base in the open on a map. I remember back in the early days before scorched even came out on ase. Pvp was a bunch of bases out in the open and was fun like that. Now, its a mega tribe consisting of 10+ people on at all times blocking off player spawns and obs with every single cave sealed shut with more heavy and tek turrets than you could count due to dying before your game can even load them
I don't think the premium mods are a bad thing. They just need a better rating system. It gives mod developers a chance to make money in the work they would otherwise be unable to monetize. But these official Mtc are definitely pretty scummy
To be fair, this is a perspective from a solely PvP viewpoint. PvE and Single Player (which make of the vast majority of the player base) have been improved substantially. I think they just know their core audience now. Not to say that there's not still shady things at work, because there are for sure, but pvp was always ridden with drama and issues lol.
Ratholes are by far the most boring meta that was ever in ark like what happend to building just in caves or in the open like the old days or ark. Ratholes are for sweaty tryhards that make the game unfun for everyone
My buddy and I used to grind all day long on ASE. We were so excited for the massive upgrade in quality that we were told would make it all worth it. Idk if maybe the game looks really good on PC, but last time we checked it was basically unplayable on Xbox Series X....
ASA had a pay to win issue too though. I remember playing on the vanilla map, the island, and getting raided by crap like wyverns and shadow manes. Like dlc creatures could still be transferred to the island
When clans got the ability to migrate to other servers and bring their most powerful pets the game started to suck. Imagine you've just dominated and conquered a map and fought your neighbours, made alliances and grown your clan and then 30 guys with lv 350 tames that you can't even get on your map comes in burns everything down and then promptly moves on Or even worse... you make a dirt hut, a guy from another server comes in on a dragon and burns it down. You build a new hut, repeat

So we made a more laggy, more cheaty, more buggy, more expensive version instead.
I miss the old day when there was patch that introduces new dinosaurs, like yutyrannus. Now we have to pay $5 to enjoy one creature.

Well worth the five bucks
the new generation of gamers who are growing up with "pay to win" "battlepasses" "microtransactions" don't know the golden age of gaming where once you buy the game once, you get access to everything.
They will still know cause there are still a lot of games that do not have those pay to win/process mechanics, that all the big studios like EA do it doesn't mean everyone does it, there are still lots of indie studios that release amazing games and Nintendo may have many faults but they don't have PTW either (at least not that I know of)
Their nasty business practices and their crashing game. Killed the most amazing game ever.

I know man but they’re stuck in the storm they built . I miss Ark greed destroyed the game.

I stopped following ark news after the first Scorched Earth delays for Ascended. So I didnt know about the Pyromane, but when I saw, I assumed it was a premium mod. Having a creature in the game for everyone but needing to pay to tame it ??? What the actual fuck ?

Even on Console there's still maps like Fjordur, Lost Island, Crystal Isles, Valguero, and Ragnarok that has a good amount of the DLC Dino's on it, for free. There are also unofficial servers that have more DLC Dino's spawning in on free maps
Meanwhile ASA here literally has these Dino's and items, that can still appear if you don't have the DLC, you just can't use them at all if you haven't paid for it.which actively affects gameplay.

I think everyone is forgetting snailgames is a big reason why wildcard is In the position they are in
we know they are the biggest reason but it doesn't exscuse Wildcard finally letting them add the p2w that they wanted in the past.
I think people are forgetting why Wildcard is in the position they are in:
Jeremy Stieglitz violated his non-compete with Trendy, and lost millions because of it, which was an absolutely stupid and avoidable move.

Prim-only servers should be a thing
For real! Personally I think asa is phenomenal compared to ase. And I've mainly been running on arkpocalypse, but I would LOVE to have a primitive server. I miss when prim+ was still active.
yes especially since they deleted the beginner servers
prim plus was so much fun

I think the game died, when it was possible to farm element. The bosses were only Engramm unlocks after that. And the Endgame was way to easy with unlimited Tek use
Always been a shit show, the idea was always there but they've never been able to deliver a positive gaming experience. Even back in the day when you're enjoying learning everything, you're playing at 20 fps on console with constant crashing and endless bugs. I have a 4090 now and when ASA released I felt like I was back on xbox one.
Since they had the cryopod glitch there is now people on smalls with alpha rexes , wyvern etc
Back when Rexes were strong when Giga's made you the best in the server when official servers were fun man the good old days
Snail games is a cancer.
its such a cut and paste dump there are exploits and bug that have been in the game since ASE.
I put this on Nooblet's video but I wanted to extend it here as well H.O.D since I've seen all of the counter-points out there from the WC sycophants that defend this (which they have a right to of course)
1) Many people will argue that there wasn't as much controversy within the community when the original paid map expansion DLCs came out, and I'd like to note that's a false narrative.
Don't even worry yourself.
Hacks will make everything obtainable soon enough.
And there will go their P2W feature down the drain.

@@bluefox9436I'll just buy Ark from the company If someone doesn't beat me to It first
I agree with all of this.
I wonder if an indy studio can make a dino survival game, seems like a pretty open market atm

Give us money, and don't forget to reset your despawn timers."
I think that kinda goes hand in hand with the divided community you mentioned where the game is having the identity crisis of sticking to its roots as a serious survival game with unintended jank vs embracing that jank as almost intentional design to dodge the accountability of designing mechanics properly and trying to pass it off as a goofy kids games.
ASA was the end of an era ark will never be the same as the good days
One thing that I’ve found which many people might flame me for but idk, caves need to be changed. I genuinely don’t think you should be able to build in them at all. Me and my friends like to play smalls, we’re good but not good enough to take over the major caves. What we find is if you don’t get a major cave you cannot survive. What this does is make it so only a couple tribes (the ones who have the caves) can be on a server. When new servers drop they are PACKED, then once the caves are taken. The whole server dies. It’s not fun especially for groups like mine where we are experienced and good, but can’t play enough to take these caves.
I fully agree, banning all caves means artifacts arent an issue and you might actually see bases out on the map
land bases can get offlined in 10 mins caves are the only strat
Fully agree I hate cave building in ark and building out in the open is generally just more fun.
the problem is its not viable to live outside caves. especially once Extinction launches. it used to be viable back on ASE but Wildcard has destroyed their own game and made it impossible for people to live outside anymore. 100 turret limit is just not viable. its so fast and easy to offline an outside base.
Yup thats what we thought we we’re getting with asa
….i honestly do not find anything wrong with this…especially coming from a mod developer myself..
We’re finally getting paid and the recognition for the work we did, where as before that wasn’t the case at all. I don’t think this is an issue because the game still functions as is without those paid creatures/maps/items. These mods are not only compensating the mod creators but to gauge the audience for it too, to see if it should be implemented into the game or not.
If it truly bothers you don’t buy the mods. But they are definitely not pay to win lol
(Before anyone says anything I am in my 30s…and played ark since launching on PC.)
Third person shooters are much better in general, think about gears of war 3, the last of us (pvp was great) and plants versus zombies garden warfare 2 they were the best. it always had the tech identity, if you were blind to see it that's on you, they killed the game with their decisions/content; not the thematic

I agree. People do not realize companies are run with money and by people who mostly do it for the money. It is not that complicated.
I hate the fact that they removed official servers on ASE
Agreed, now were force to join servers where admin abuse is a massive problem

Great game
Yeah for pve it's fine but pvp is bad
OTHER MAIN ISSUES WITH ASA PVP:
1.Game performance, (No other game comes to close to how poorly ark servers/game perform, I get its a mmo with alot of things going on at the same time but just look at rust their servers run 10x better than ark and some servers have more than 800 players on them.)
2.Raid balance, (alot of caves are way to hard to raid rn, all you need to do is sit there with a stego and block off the entrance if they decide to terror run and if they grapple the stego just heal with a pig/cakes or throw out a new stego. Also with cryo changes its makes it pretty hard to soak turrets, plus with the new turret settings you can set them to ignore turtles. Unlike caves its too easy to soak on land, should maybe buff turrets to 1.5x or nerf stegos.)
3.Foot pvp/dino rebalance, (even though it is a dinosaur game foot pvp isnt as strong as it should be imo, foot pvp is alot more fun/skill expressive than sitting on a dino pressing bite, I think it would be cool to see a 50/50 ratio between foot pvpers and dinos in big raids/defense. Main killers of foot pvp rn: carchas way to fast, player speed a little bit to low, no cryos, and kill time is to slow against other players unless bolad. would like to see better registration from weapons, tlc to weapons: buff to some weapons, nerf to flame, increasing use of attachments/adding more like a grip/extended mag,.)
4. To hard for new players, ( Maybe adding rat holes/small caves that are very hard to raid but offer limited space. )
5.cheating
There are deffo alot of other issues with asa but even if WildCard fixed/improved half of these issues game would be thriving imo.
Would love to see some sort of pole/videos put together by some of the big ark youtubers that list all of the main issues with asa, and atleast this way if WildCard dont change anything after that we'll know for sure there's no saving the game.
When I play single player it’s fine for me
i just want to be able to play multiplayer
Raiding is still way too easy, not too hard lol
Defence options need to be better
Caves and ratholes need to be harder to raid. We have people that work full time jobs and play Ark. This game requires a lot of time. Not just one week but many months. The pay to win help with the mental health too instead of stressing about losing everything. Without pay to win Alpha or mega tribes will continue to dominate everybody.
@@Obistopmotions then why are you here?
remember when this was a dino game.
Just all in all, ASA is a letdown and if my friend circle (easily 15k hours between us) is representative of the playerbase at large, no wonder the player count is in the gutter, because we aren't playing anymore and likely won't be back unless WC does a complete 180.
how is a few skins and a train p2w lol
@dbzfreak458 iirc it also had treasure maps that lead to phat loot that you can only use if you bought the dlc. The literal definition of pay to win there.
Glad I'm not the only one disgusted by the beige rocks all over.
I have 17k hours in ASE.
Really miss all my friends and the game and the struggles we had together.
I keep trying to get into ASA, but end up going back to ASE every time. It’s just not the same. 🤷🏻♀️
I have over 5000 hours in ASE and 750 in ASA, the Pyromane and bugs just ended it for me, so I am playing Soulmask and Enshrouded!!!
very good video 👍
Thanks man 💪 I really hope they can bring it back from here, but I'm worried its just the start of the pay to win and lack of caring we will see from here if we don't keep calling out... I've seen your vids about the rat hole stuff too its so frustrating to see them think that this bed spawn system is acceptable. Its just such a slack way to try and fix something. just a sign of how little they care now i feel like.
@@HOD i could not agree more! Center is the best map for ratholes tho. a lot of cool rathole spots are working.
Cry, cry, cry
@@captainamericaandcaptainma3337 Keep gluckin' on WC's schlong lol.
It was so heartbreaking for me to loose all the trust and enjoyment i had in ark1 for 4k hrs.
But now i know that every single day we will get more and more p2w content. And it's physically painful to watch how game with so many good memories just dies in your arms
Honestly I don’t think I will ever play Asa again even though I bought it because of the p2w and the no movement speed and the tiny characters
Why they dont add solo or duo servers? I DONT GET IT
Im still playing ASE, partially because if people with 4090s are having problems, my 3060 can't do anything. Ive always played Singleplayer. So im not as bothered by the shut down of the official servers. Though the worst part is that all the bigger mod developers are mocing to ASA to develop mods. So we probably arent gonna get any new, good mods or mod maps anymore.
I wish I had the experience and time to make my own
The only mods for ASE now being made seems to be low effort Chinese made garbage.
You're still running around as a pair of arms 2 feet from the ground and it makes me feel sick to play like that
Nope, new dinos. Not gonna balance them tho. And here's a half finished new map. It looks worse than the one it was based on.
It’s no secret asa isn’t where it should be I just hope they listen to feed back and recover. It’s not too late (at least for me it’s not)
i miss my ark 😥
Wildcard need to listen to you, no doubt the franchise pays your bills and puts food on your table, your invested as much as a dev but your a player your point of view is honest and on point, its money for them if they listen, great video!!
yeah luckily I made some moves to make sure i dont rely on ark anymore so thats good but i still want it to do well glad you liked the video :)
Ark ascending is just the first game but with layers of paint hiding the original wood of a home
@@procrastinatingwithpreston9237 wait! Can you not use a pyromane if you don't have the dlc?
I miss ase so much that I play fiber craft for it lol
The reason we all love rathole content is because we all love to root for the underdog
This has been my ark experience every time I try to play online;
I find a server and create a new character. I run around for 2 hours looking for a place to put a base with no luck because there are pillars everywhere. I give up and play something else. I've done this several times cause I want to like this game but never get to play unless I play offline
“You killed Adam goods” got me on the floor😂😂😂
You listen well ARK Devs take notes you greedy bastards.
Well the thing is that it doesn't matter how greedy they are, we will buy no matter what. They don't really care about the freeloaders, but how much more money they can make off the ones who pay.
I'm sure they're listening real close m8
@@bajcliit was gonna be free but now it's paid i bet this game optimization is good that low end gpu can play this game on 30 fps
It won't be the dev's, you need to look a little higher on the company payroll to see the culprits. Dev's are never in charge of financing unless that specific dev owns the company too
@brockoala2994 yea, buy it and then demand refunds which is what I did and I got my money back
Because of what they did to us in ark one I will never play one of their games ever again I don't care how good it is I will not waste my life or time on that just so they can erase everything that I do
This game died after the first official wipe of the official servers on ASE.
"Make ASA free"? You think it's the game's cost that's keeping me from joining? It's the 4070++ that I don't have lmfao.
That CHINESE company are to blame for killing ark...

Now, its a mega tribe consisting of 10+ people on at all times blocking off player spawns and obs with every single cave sealed shut with more heavy and tek turrets than you could count due to dying before your game can even load them
ARK is over, ark died in 2021 for me
After the mass banning of loads of players / youtubers by Tea I dropped the game. Dirty game / publisher / dev team
They need to stop with P2W or MTC also premium mods needs to go.
Free ASA from P2W & MTC
It's only going to get worse.
I know many content creators are already pushing this p2w creature hard with free steam keys. All of them don’t give a f about this situation.
I don't think the premium mods are a bad thing. They just need a better rating system. It gives mod developers a chance to make money in the work they would otherwise be unable to monetize.
But these official Mtc are definitely pretty scummy
@@thefinalboss2403How though? A lot of support pay to win. I mean even then there's still competition.
I don’t know about this one
To be fair, this is a perspective from a solely PvP viewpoint. PvE and Single Player (which make of the vast majority of the player base) have been improved substantially. I think they just know their core audience now. Not to say that there's not still shady things at work, because there are for sure, but pvp was always ridden with drama and issues lol.
That’s why I stay on ase. Tried Asa. And it’s just a money sink. Happy with the og Ark! 😊
Ratholes are by far the most boring meta that was ever in ark like what happend to building just in caves or in the open like the old days or ark. Ratholes are for sweaty tryhards that make the game unfun for everyone

thank you for mentioning beds issue, im seeing not many are talking about it and its a big issue, instant subscribed you speak for us!
Bro the PAIN in his voice is very noticeable. And i understand that.
Imagine you've just dominated and conquered a map and fought your neighbours, made alliances and grown your clan and then 30 guys with lv 350 tames that you can't even get on your map comes in burns everything down and then promptly moves on
Or even worse... you make a dirt hut, a guy from another server comes in on a dragon and burns it down. You build a new hut, repeat
