@@DiptoDas-q6sI think it means that it’s not a real variant of dinosaur. It seems to be a common way Helena’s dossier makes little hints about the creature’s nature. @@mikoto7693 yeah i think most use them in pvp cuz they’re pack tames. I don’t know much about them cuz i stay the hell away from them in single player lmao
@@DoctorAlright Lol me too. I don’t play PvP at all, I played PvE on official servers and it didn’t feel right. The Island was absolutely littered with people’s bases, huge Tek monstrosities that could house an entire town instead of just one selfish person. They made it so much worse by putting pillars down for wide swaths of land surrounding the base….. in the freaking starting zones where most new players would spawn. The first hour and a half was a miserable slog as my brand new low level character struggled to do much of anything while being unable to set down a foundation for the crafting stuff. I had to traverse large distances on foot with the initial Stone Age weapons and gear. Not fun. Then finally I found a small portion of unclaimed beach wedged between two large bases. Not much, but enough that I could build a tiny stone hut just about big enough for my needs. It soured my experience of multiplayer and really now I just log in for a few hours a week to prevent my stuff being lost. Although single player mode can be a bit lonely sometimes-especially on the bigger maps but it beats multiplayer. And yeah I avoid Troodons too, along with the Microraptor, kaprosuchus, Thylacoleos and the other ones that can dismount me. But you know how it is-sometimes they sneak up on you. It was pure chance that I got attacked by a group which had a baby in tow so I tamed it on an impulse.
I get freaking chills watching your dossiers, no other content creator I keep up with except you. Congrats to you and your team for making this happen despite the fact that your videos don't gain the publicity they deserve. ❤
The only custom animations are the amazing 3D dossier renders made by Neddy, which appear at the start of each dossier section. All the dinosaur and player movements are in-game vanilla animations, though indeed sometimes we use them in creative ways. For example, we might use the Carno's level-up animation to make it look like it's sniffing the Pachycephalosaurus' pheromones 😉
This is awesome! Your 3 ark stories movies were bad ass! The amount of hard work you snd everyone did truly paid off. Always wanted to say that and never got a chance cause I'm bad a commenting and only clicking like hahaha! Love your content.
These are SO COOL. They are like real documentaries. This must be so much work. Also ... i know he was probaly knocked out, but the raptor sleeping beside the campfire with the others, was such a sweet detail.
Just when I thought your videos couldn't get any more refined, you give us videos like these... Well done Neddy. I see a bright future for you in videography.
I love that she talks about Troodon being intelligent, because this is a very old theory going back at least 60 years. The whole "Dinosauroid" sculpture was based on the hypothetical idea that Troodons would eventually evolve into a creature of human-like intelligence, if they hadn't died out at the end of the cretaceous.
I've noticed that compies don't attack unless there are 3 or more. Tbh three is a pretty small number for triggering aggression, should be at least 5. I love the references to The Lost World in that dossier. They don't fear humans, etc. The only difference is, in Jurassic Park lore compies have small amounts of venom in their bite. Would have been cool to see a Troodon like effect, but a much weaker version.
4:05 I really wish that Queens were in the game. Having them be rare spawns that are much larger and capable of being ridden would be great. It feels like a huge missed opportunity to mention them but never add them. Queens could lay already tamed ants, allowing an easy chitin farm alongside a easily replaceable army/swarm.
Microraptors. They come from the clade Maniraptora, which is the same clade that modern day birds belong to... as well as all of the dromeosaurs, including velociraptor, deinonychus, and utahraptor.
Fascinating as I have experienced and encountered each of these creatures and tamed a few. I sincerely wish that I could find a highly populated PvE ASE English PS4 server with good ping for the UK. Either for the Island or one of the free DLC maps. I play single player and have found a server but it’s sparsely populated. I’d like Ark with tribes.
Since this is your newest video, can we talk about how JW Chaos Theory is blowing Ark TAS out of the water? I really think that the Ark TAS team should study CC and Chaos Theory and try and figure out why it worked. A good start would be consistent dinosaur depictions. Like how Rex in TAS looks more like it's from Land Before Time than Ark. Another would be about how TAS treats drama and story telling. Like how they took a perfectly valid story from the game and turned it into an incoherent and boring mess. Chaos Theory was able to make me believe one of my favorite characters was dead, but kept me intrigued enough to keep watching. The only reason I'm going to watch part 2 of Ark TAS season 1 is because I want to see the rest of the bosses. The show didn't make me want to see that, the game did. Whereas something like Chaos Theory or Camp Cretaceos doesn't use the Jurassic Movies as a crutch.
I wonder: Will you also do this for the official mod creatures? Aka the Ark Additions mod? I loved this series when you did it in ASE and here in ASA it looks even more amazing, so seeing the best creature mod of the game added to this roster would make it complete for me.
I’m going to make a mod where the Dino’s are actually intelligent and don’t just blindly attack on sight. Where they actually use hunting strategies and use territorial displays and animations. Any of you think that’s a cool idea? 👇
If you love ARK, join our Discord! ;D discord.gg/T7BQks6xuW
You should do this more often, although there's a lot of dossiers so it might take some time.
I love how you recreated the poster of ASE's old season pass for the thumbnail. It came out super well!
Changed already
The cinematography and the transitions are only getting better and better
those raptor slowmo shots r incredible!

Another amazing episode of Ark's very own National Geographic documentary series with production values to match. Love it! 🍻

Imagine nedynoodle collab with upfromthedepths
Good god that troodon hunting at night scene was so unbelievable coming from any ark update. Good job
Funnily enough I managed to get a Troodon by taming it as a baby. Still working out how useful the my could be. Maybe as a taming aid?

I love watching these with my mom as she learns about the game she thinks the ark world is interesting keep up the good work 👍🏾
that storytelling is the reason i subbed, absolutely amazing video, as always! :)

One of my fave things about these is how you blend each creature into the next one. So clever and smoothly transitioned too!
Awesome insights into ARK's jungle life! 🌿🦕
Dude this was done so WELL. I love the jungles in ark they’re such an underrated/unused biome
man the camera shots, so freakin good
Hello crow
Can you do a part 2 of kaiju ark taming Doug?
The production quality of these videos is magnificent. Hats off to Neddy and his entire crew
More extremely high-quality Ark content. Love it!
Ok the transition from Pt to Compy is awesome

Yup, it was knocked out. And the rider drying up by the campfire was doing the Hula Dance and we cut it before the dancing part kicked in :D
This is amazing quality! I can tell you put a lot of thought and effort into this. Looking forward to watching the rest
