Not going to lie, the basilosaurus ending hit hard. but at least you made sure the hunters got karma. really makes me wish some people in the real world would get karma too. enjoying the remakes, hope the ice ark story goes well.
Wow, I'm blown away. I really wasn't expecting such quality videos on a game I abandoned half a decade ago. Edit: it's the magical liopleurodon, Charlie!
I'm not even halfway through but I'm just adoring the presentation brought to every Dossier video. This one has such a wonderful cinematic look, while the others were more documentary style. It's fantastic, and I don't even care that I've heard this info before, it's almost like it's brand new with added visuals.
Wow the cinematography just keeps getting more and more impressive, and all the set dressing and acting is just *chef's kiss*. Keep up the amazing work!
Ngl, this is a very Perfect documentary/ingame cinematic I've ever seen! ❤ Props to Neddy, the Director and for everyone who helped creating this masterpiece. I'm glad to see how much this series has grown from the very beginning.
I'm not gonna lie. The Leopleurodon makes me mad. The devs initially promised a really good underwater mount that filled a role that was desperately needed at the time. Then they turned around and changed it for the sake of a joke. I love this game, but I'll never forgive the devs for what they did to the Leopleurodon.
I hope one day someone comes through and does voiceover work for some of the Modded creatures. Would love to see a Dossier about the Acrocanthosaurus or Jumping Spiders🔥
Wow, I usually don’t comment on videos but this was so cool to watch. I can’t wait to check out the others! Kudos to Nemesis and thanks for producing the series so we have it to watch. 👍 I really enjoyed the transitions and story being told throughout. It makes me wish I had the time to play Ark PVP instead of solo! Please ignore my username, I know being genuine with it might come off as a joke but it’s not. 😅
Oh the Basilosaurus ending was brutal. I’m very fond of the pair I have now and keep them safe in my water enclosure so I can breed an offspring for underwater future caving. I’ve got a good breeding pair of Megalodon that I’m using to breed a pack for future underwater caving. But oddly I have never encountered most of creatures in this video. I have gained the Scuba gear and have swum to the depths of the ocean on the back of a Sarco, if only because its speed means that I can explore and escape from potential dangers. Alas I’ve only encountered the raft-killing leed-whale near herbivore island, and but a single Pleiosaur. None of the other big undersea species I have yet encountered. In fairness I haven’t done much detailed exploration. Just “fly by” on my Sarco. And only the eastern, southern and western coasts. A trip through the northern waters is planned though. Admittedly I’m intrigued by the idea of an undersea base like seen in this video even if I have no idea how I would go about constructing one. So much to learn about this game.
So happy to be back and catching these OUTSTANDING dossiers!!! The voice actors are amazing and seem to fit perfectly with every scene. I am looking forward to more of this and you are making Ark cinematic cartoon series look pathetic! They should have hired you and your team to their series. GREAT WORK AS USUAL KIDDO!
For anyone who’s gonna ask where’s manta, coelacanth, salmon and trilobite, they where used in past episodes, which this is definitely not me saying go back and watch ALL neddys content, me no… do it do it do it do it
Fun fact- Basilosaurus’s name means king lizard because when the first fossils of this creature were discovered people at the time thought it was a giant aquatic reptile. I mean if you put something like a modern whale skeketon next to something like a mosasaur skeketon you can kind of see why.
This is amazing. Though i will say the sizes given in the dosiers are hilarious. Big mosasaurus could get to 15 metres in real life, as stated, but the ark mosa is more like 50 metres. And the teusoteuthis is definitely a fair bit longer than 9 metres, considering thats about the size of a real life allo. Just found it amusing, and 19:33 these shots are stunning
I think the lore explanation for this is that these creatures were genetically engineered to create the perfect human/dino combo and to serve specific roles, and therefore aren't actual copies of real life dinos. Of course this is all just a way for Wildcard to get away with making unrealistic dinos and prioritizing cool looks over historical accuracy (which is fine btw) but you gotta give it to them for the effort of explaining it in the lore! Also side note: I believe it's widely accepted in the scientific community to measure the length of cephalopods without the tentacles, just the main body. This is why the Tuso is said to be nine meters long in the dossier. It's definitely longer regardless but if you include the tentacles, it will be many times longer 😊
So, like. I was already scared of the ocean. In most games. Now that it got darker in ASA. I think…I’m going to just stay on land. The Squid Note honestly had me spooked… Thank as always Ned for making me want to learn more, yet scared all the same!
This is how in my opinion, the Ark show should've been more aligned with, stuff the players of Ark are used to, their tempo, and the feel of the game. Also, I wish Ark itself was as interactive as the video made out to be, would've been so much more fun and enjoyable ❤🔥
Ironic how the smallest creatures in the ocean were also the most feared but for all the wrong reasons. At least they finally gave stuns a cooldown in survival ascended. I feel for all the people who had thier Mosas and other dinos stun locked by the damn jellies.
Wow compare to the old video, this one really show all the way you go, it’s not only better choregraphed, coordinated with more players both on person or riding dinos invisibly to make everything feel more alive and organic, there is even some montage you can’t just do in-game, at least not naturally like the trike been « eaten » by the megalodon, good job mate! That video alone almost convince me to get back to ark, unfortunately the remake was kind of a deception, i have nobody to play with which is depressing for a game i already fully know, and lack of time mix with other game i play already take all the free time i have… nonetheless: thumb up
Glad to hear you enjoyed the video! If you're looking for a good place to play ARK and enjoy these videos, consider becoming Ned's patreon or joining the body actors crew, both of which give you access to his epic ASA cluster. Also, would you ever like to see some "behind the scenes" clips of how we pulled of some of the movie magic? For example, we pulled the trike underwater with a "cheat DragMyTarget" command, and when it swam away holding it in its jaws, the corpse was being held by an invisible actor grappling-hooked to the Megalo's face lol

The animated series soundtrack made this amazing. Again the cinematography is absolutely astounding.
🔥
Glad you liked it! That soundtrack is legendary, and it's an honor to have access to it
Hi fren :D
@@NemesisStar I thought this was just the dosier readings

Meanwhile my favorite pastime in the game is club ing penguins for poly 🤣
Fun Fact: Real life Basillosaurus is now considered as an Ancient Whale rather than a reptile by modern Paleontologists.
@@netuzer5895 It was always considered a ancient whale wasn't it?
spoiler: karma does not exist

Candy mountain charlieeee!
@@NeddyTheNoodle I'm glad people still remember it.
WERE ON A BRIDGE CHARLIIIIIIE
Its Ark survival ascended not ark survival evolved so it has new, better graphics.
@@ekaterincastlegrove9353 and still a buggy mess…. Gaming simps will always be sheep.
What a banger of a video. The voice acting is nice in game, but this is next level immersion. I’m so happy I found this channel
Damn the transitions between the Dossiers are magnificent! Good Job Neddy

Alr the leedsichthys art is 🔥🔥🔥 and the bases amaze me can’t wait for scorched earth dossiers
Wow the cinematography just keeps getting more and more impressive, and all the set dressing and acting is just *chef's kiss*. Keep up the amazing work!
18:30 The Villager noise xD
I know right lol
Heard it too lmao
CAN WE TALK ABOUT THIS SHOT??? 10:45 WHAT A BEAUTIFUL INTRO THE MOSA!
You have an amazing talent with this stuff, Ned!
Thanks, though it was all Nemesis haha. I only produced this video, Nem did all the real work.
@@NeddyTheNoodle My comment still stands. You both have extreme talent!
These are some of my favorite videos on the entirety of RUclips
Ok. That basilosaurus part just went from 1 to 100 so fast like, damn. That got depressingly real pretty quick 😔
(Great vid tho, good job 👏)
leechy: don’t worry I’ll make sure they get their karma
I just tamed a Basilosaurus, it makes me 30-40pcs of oil per hour, so the hunting was never needed, just needed domestication
CRUDE OIL 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
Ngl, this is a very Perfect documentary/ingame cinematic I've ever seen! ❤
Props to Neddy, the Director and for everyone who helped creating this masterpiece.
I'm glad to see how much this series has grown from the very beginning.
I'm gobsmacked this had been made from a video game, insane job! This is incredible
Glad to see that my favourite creature (Leedsichthys) got some love, keep it up!
I’m so glad I found this I wanted someone to talk about all the creatures in Ark

Wow this is beautifully well made great job Neddy
well well well
We need Helena's dossiers life on the mountains and in the snow
I love how the Basilosaurus ecology is so similar to irl whaling and also sad

Hrgghh
WTF, best quality I’ve ever seen. Well done
Never in my life have I played Ark yet here I am and I'm staying
10:45 That mosasaur sounds gives me chills 😨. This should be how it sounds in the game
Those are the ingame sounds. They gave it new sounds and its original sound set to the Plesi.
Neddy well done!. My favourite part was when the T-Rex was chasing after the triceratops . Keep doing what you're doing man this is amazing!.

Good. Makes me even more scared of the oceans now…
Yo this is fire, do you plan on making more?

Are you making a ark extinction movie, like the Aberration, Scorched earth and The Island ones?
18:28 Am I the only one hearing a Minecraft villager noise?
Still hate how Ark done The Meg dirty making it smaller than it actually was
it's a magical leopluradon charlie!

Is the liopleurodon actual tames u can get or are they modded I’ve never heard of them
It's a real creature, just a very rare one. It's made harder to find by the fact that it will disappear if damaged
This amazing. You should repost this to the other channel tho.
Great video!
