hands down my favorite game ever made to this day. hearing this reminds me of all the runs i had on this and still do on my 360 just to play this every year around christmas when i got this from my dad. he knew i loved james bond and army men lol so he made one of the best choices ever when he took a chance, not even knowing i was allready a huge metal gear fan since the first one. thank you pops your the shit dude
@@cynthiaharrell9476 Your singing is so great in this! Completely iconic and best version I've heard of the song (and I've heard many). Nobody can beat the original. I love how you really let it rip and belt notes especially in the bridge but just like... in general all throughout the song. All the versions I hear nobody is letting the "CRIIIIMMMEEEE" rip like that and like... it gives so much drama to the song! Like the best "Bond theme" ever. Thanks so much for this transcendent delivery on this song. I bought the game the day it came out and I remember when the credits roll in the first hour or so of the game came on and this song came on my parents were walking by and stopped dead in their tracks asking questions "like wait what is this? Damn this sounds great." I think in part because the sort of arrangement harkened back to older films (like the James Bond films) etc. that they were already fans of. Now it is many many years later and I'm still out here listening to this song every now and again.
She is a gem such an iconic voice
Cynthia Harrell really doesn’t get the credit she deserves… saw a video today with so many views & likes but no credit to the real singer.
100000000%!!!!
Agreed! The composer of Snake Eater, also doesn't get enough credit 😅
Was thinking the same. This woman is a legend...so hard to find any footage of Her actually singing this song.
