Very under rated Canadian group. Could never understand why a band with such great songs never went farther!!!!! The 80's Rocked......and so did HAYWIRE!!!!!!
@@av8r500 LOL. I'm an 80's connoisseur my friend. You are referring to The Summer of 69, and it was actually Jimmy quit and Jody got married. Good try tho! 👍
Just discovered this great Band from PEI. How could I have missed it back in the day? I guess they got lost in the shuffle - esp down here in the States. Man - I LOVE these guys!! So fun.
they deserve so much more respect! amazing songs, great lyrics and the songs are still just as good as ever!! Nothing but love for these guys, thank for the music :)
Haywire should have come out in America and been heavily promoted. Like Glass Tiger and Honeymoon Suite they had razor sharp lyrics, great songs, and were amazing musicians. As sad as their lyrics are they are at least being honest about how terribly wrong most relationships end up going. I have bitter feelings about a lot of people and love them at the same time and can't get them out of my head. "Black and blue colors of love pain that we live for" is so true. Wouldn't you know it a lot of them are Canadians like Haywire! Great country for everything.
@@sheyharv7604 Yes very sad thank you! Canada has more great music than any European country and often a lot of our American bands and artists with huge talents didn't make it. However, Canada really is special and so is your team sport hockey!
Bring me the 80s and I want to relive it again...lol,..music so much fun and happiness ......can't get enough of it....haywire ..black n blue keep giving me black n blue, loving every minutes of it....awesome music and finest Canadians band around.....
My ex brother in law almost became their drummer back in 1986 when they were just starting up, their regular drummer had gotten sick and my sister and her then fiancé went to see them perform in Fredericton New Brunswick and the lead singer asked if there was anyone that knew how to play the drums well, my sister pushed him on stage and he played with them all that night. He was asked if he could go with them but had to turn it down because my sister was pregnant. A true story I’ll never forget, love this band!
You should maybe be MORE concerned with learning how to spell first .....THEN think about how much money you "WOULD" waste on some crap pop music long outdated.
Damn You Tube! I am cursed with a perfect memory about who I was with, where I was and what I was doing when this song was on the radio. A great song by a great Canadian band and such happy memories! Cheers!
80s is a better generation, then todays crap of a generation that much I can tell. People had differnt attitdues, people spoke differntly. Everything was better back then, such as televison, music, movies. Had a time of my life back then. Wish I had a time machine and relive it again.
one of the best guitar players of the times the band is still fantastic but the singer lost all his hair but still have a fantastic voice and stage presence .well done .
i agree with codesterprod, these guys were awesome. never got to see them live, and would have loved to. just good solid canadian rock music. while most people think the 80's sucked, they truly were a great time of great music like this!
So many good Canadian bands. These guys are one of them. Love my Canadian rock. Of the 393 albums I have, 240 are by Canadian singers/groups. Just bought 3 albums by these guys.
Wasn't a big fan of this song back in the 80's. I now realize that was likely due to the crappy sound coming out of the 3" mono speaker on my Toshiba Blackstripe TV, while watching it in 280i on Video Hits. Hearing it now in all it's audio glory, this is a great tune!!
I think this is a great example of what I love about Canadian bands! There’s a certain sound that just puts me right back to bonfire parties in my hometown! Does anyone know anything about time travel?!😕😎
I could not remember for the life of me who sang this song or what it was called..wow havent heard this since high school...loved the 80's........great song 4ever i will remember it ..had my 1st kiss to this song
These guys are hot. And I'm straight. ❤❤❤ And to think all the great Canadian rockers there are like Trooper, Honeymoon Suite, Rush, Nickelback, Coney Hatch, Headpins, Bryan Adams, Helix, Glass Tiger, Finger Eleven, Monster Truck, Sloan and many more.
Why. Did. This, Not. Go. Worldwide. This so encapsulated the teen experience of the late 80's.
Very under rated Canadian group. Could never understand why a band with such great songs never went farther!!!!! The 80's Rocked......and so did HAYWIRE!!!!!!
basically they couldn't get a record deal in the USA
Jimmy quit, Julie got married….

Been on a Haywire binge lately. I miss back then.
This Canadian band was seriously underrated for its time. When I mention to some people my age they don’t know them! WTF!
This music is timeless, sounds just as good as it did when I first heard it.
They were ahead of their time... But will remain timelessly epic, those who don't know are just missing out on one of life's perfect moments...

What a shame that people didn't realize what a great band they were and that they could have been big

One of the best bands of my youth!! Watch them at the Battle Of The Bands in Saint John NB Canada.
