Saw Young Fathers during SXSW in 2013 that Anthony Fartano put on at this really small show with about 100 people. Almost everyone came for Anamanaguchi and the free bear, but they couldn't show and Young Fathers was playing next. Majority of people left after they heard Anamanaguchi was a no show. Young Fathers put on one of the best performances I ever watched in front of a small audience.
These guys are simply fucking hot! They have so much energy. Cannot wait to see them live. They need not try and adapt their music for the mainstream. The mainstream aint ready for such prowess!

Great live performance. Given that it's for radio, they could have just stood and delivered the music (as I've seen lots of bands do, and have nothing particularly against), but they really got into it. Real passion, I like it

Not sure which machine you mean, but he's using a MicroKorg XL (Red edition) with an old EMS Synthi suitcase synth and a small black Korg Monotron Delay.

One moment it feels rock and roll, the next like 80's new wave, and then it leaves you confused in the most awesome way. Love it!
