Yeah. I knew she was originally cast as Sookie but was recast due to conflicts but I didn't know she was cast as two characters. ASP must really like this actor to want to hire her 3 times for one show. Now she's one of the main characters in ASP's most recent show!
I know that it was mostly just filling roles but I like to think of in universe reasons they look alike. Maybe the security guy and the dinner customer were the same guy. He works Hartford which is not that far from stars hollow for it to be weird for him to eat there. Pete and Kirk were friends so it makes sense he would ask Pete to be in his movie. Honors friend and the girl at rory's coming out party do seem to run in the same social circles maybe they're related.
Kirk was a delivery guy named Mick in the second episode of season 1. And I always though having Marion Ross play 2 parts was brilliant! love how Gran's niece (or was it sister?) looked like a younger Gran! Plus, let's not forget that Gran and her husband were second couisins! Who knows what other kissing cousin couples there were in the Gilmore line! Makes the possibility of a strong familial resemblance even higher! :)
Samantha Shelton aka Libby Doty/Walker is such a missed opportunity. It was basically the same character. They could have reconnected when Rory met Libby at Logan's sister wedding, only Libby wouldn't have known adding to her airhead quality. This way Rory could have seen what a live of a debutante would be a few years later.
Great list! One correction to the printed list: Lance Barber @ 1:45 (I think). Can't believe I never caught that. He's great on Young Sheldon and played Leonard's high school bully on TBBT. I think that the actress right before him was the physicist who hit on Sheldon on TBBT.
You should do a video like this including bunheads and other Amy Sherman Paladino shows as she seems to be one of those people that regularly casts the same people in her shows. Half the fun of watching bunheads was seeing the same actors from GG pop up.
I was actually just watching the newest season of Mrs. Maisel and noticed appearances from Kelly Bishop (Emily Gilmore), Milo Ventimiglia (Jess), and Chris Eigman (Jason Stiles). Additionally Alex Borstein but she's in the main cast anyways.
This happens a lot in shows and you usually wouldn't notice but some of those actors get more famous later and you can't unsee them on the rewatch (ex. Rikki Lindholme in this very video). Or they are just as shameless as Stargate was and simply drop actors who played easily recognizable and important characters, some with multiple episode archs, into another role few years later :)
Aside from Professor Bell and Stanley, George Anthony Bell also played the police officer at Luke and Anna's hearing on Season 7, Episode 12, "To Whom It May Concern." :)
I think you forgot one but I’m not sure, there was this episode with Lorelai dating the business coworker kid and I think he also plays derek but I’m not sure
