It wasn't exactly characteristic. She probably quit. Does Lane really seem like the type of person who would continue cheerleading once she and Rory were back ok n speaking terms.
@Josiah Bright I think she was more shocked cuz they used to make fun of cheerleaders together then all of a sudden she is one. I dont have a good history with cheerleaders myself. The ones at my highschool were stereotype slutty, mean, full of themselves type of girls.
@Josiah Bright Part of the too-frequent snark on this show, along with characters being so convinced of their ubercleverness. And yet I still mostly like it.
Can we talk about how the upstairs of Lorelai and Rory’s house is clearly huge yet there’s only 1 bedroom up there and Rory’s room is next to the kitchen
No no no no no I ship lane and Zach . Zach actually cares about her if Dave cared about her then he wouldn’t have run away. Zach was the one who proposed . But everyone has an opinion
They made Ms Kim a single mom, making all the decisions and being the breadwinner but I remember them starting of with Lane saying "my parents" then changing over to just "my mom"???
My biggest beef is with Rory being sentenced to 300 hours of community service for stealing the boat but they never explain what were the consequences for Logan...
it's kind of like with Monster Inc- in Monster Inc, Mike says that Sully's been jealous of his good looks since the seventh grade, but in Monster University, they meet for the first time- in college.
When Lorelei and Luke started dating he said he would never go to those crazy town meetings and she has to drag him there. Yet he’s at every town meeting shown before their relationship. How did that not get in the list?
A lot is never stated in the show, but is happpening. Maybe he wanted to see her more than once a day, or when he wasn't busy running a business and could sit and talk to her.
Biggest plot hole is that Rory inherits an insane amount of money from her grandmother to which she'd have access at the age of 21. Yet, she's broke at the age of 30 on Netflix's revival
only $250,000. That's a lot, but not an insane amount when you consider the lifestyle she leads. A pad in Brooklyn, traveling a lot, her expensive clothes, etc. And Richard only died 4 months before the revival started. I don't think she was necessarily broke in the revival, but she had no apartment after giving hers up and then didn't know what she wanted to do so she didn't get another place after everything blew up in her face. It was more about her being directionless and lost, I feel, than legitimately penniless.
Can we talk about how Jackson was elected town selectman, and then a few episodes later Taylor was it again? That one bugs me. They could have made a good subplot explaining that.
bobolob I always just figured he stepped down and gave it back to Taylor, but I agree, they could have at least mentioned it in a conversation between Sookie and Lorelai
Kylie Morefield I’m saying just because Lauren was in the photo doesn’t mean they couldn’t use a different actor for mini Christopher. They probably didn’t have him cast by then.
what about when dean told jess “this is my town, i was born here” but we know that dean moved to stars hollow during the pilot? or maybe there is an explanation i can’t remember
everyone is saying how perfect Dave was, but what about Henry from season 2? Lane and Henry met at Madeline's Chilton party and they had a secret relationship and according to Lane, he was perfect and didn't want her mom to find out because once Henry was approved by her parents, Lane wouldn't be interested any more
Jackson quit I'm assuming. He was elected and giving his speech and even says he has a life and job and a family and he didn't know why he was doing this. He is selectman for a little after that but I wanna say he goes to taylor and steps down
I'm most annoyed about that time when Rory was new to college and Lorelei came and ordered take out from a bunch of different places for like the entire dorm. And this was while she was trying to open the Inn and talking about struggling with money.. and then she just casually orders hundreds of dollars worth of food...
It never explicitly states it's her paying for all of it. She could have asked everyone to chip in $10 or whatever to cover it. Plenty of my friends will do that at parties if they want to order some pizzas or something. Just generally though, I figure they're not that poor, they've just been poor and know how to scrimp and save when needed. They just seem poor because they're in constant juxtaposition with Emily and Richard's life where they have servants and cooks and what have you.
I guess that's possible but they originally just ordered for the four of them and so even if they split it between the the four of them Lorelei would still bascially be paying half and then after it got there they invited the rest of the dorm girls.
Another situation that bothers me: At April's birthday party (season 6) she lead the girls to a cosmetic store and let them grab everything they can... granted she's doing much better financially as this was later in the show and those are probably inexpensive pharmacy crap, but wth? Luke should've freaked.
Kinda funny how she makes such a big deal out of it when her mother just spends a bunch not caring about the cost but then does the same thing (with cheaper things but still)
There was an episode where Rory was home (maybe from Yale) and noticed the Cable wasn't working and that Lorelei was turning lights off and there was a time where Lorelei was cutting coupons. I certainly had the impression that they were on a budget, and I did notice that it didn't line up with all the eating out, etc.
I didn't notice the Dave thing at first, but when I did it kind of hurt honestly. He was such a good guy..... read the whole bible for Lane and he was never mentioned again, I liked Zach but he was a downgrade
EXACTLY. the first 6 are explained in the show! Dave goes to college, hello they broke up. the photo of chris? yeah it's SEEN in the same doesn't mean it was taken in the same season. the photo is clearly a younger version of chris. 🙄 these are all just nitpicky.
@@frizzzx86 he isn't seen actually going to classes a lot and it's highly implied he has skipped a lot of classes to party basically, he doesn't take school very seriously at all, so that would explain the 3 year age gap. he also graduated a year before she did, so he is seen to be at least a year older.
I hate how they make a big deal in season 6 to show Rory pleading for a job at the Stanford eagle gazette, and then getting it, but then we never hear about that job again
@@melvawages7143 No, she got the job afterwards, when she was going back to school. I thought she left the job to go on Obama's campaign trail working for an online publication? That was said in the last episode of the series.
Two of my biggest pet peeves: 1. how could Paris not have gotten into Harvard? Multiple generations of her family went there. She would have to have a box of rocks for brains not to get in with that kind of legacy and presumably donations. 2. How was Brad salutatorian over Paris? He took like a year off to be on Broadway and transferred schools twice. On top of the fact that no one worked harder than Paris. Makes no sense.
RandiRu Brad wasn’t a salutatorian, he was just chosen to speak with in the graduation; I’m guessing maybe because of the fame he gained from broadway.
The photo is the Chris as a “teenager” They probably hadn’t cast the role of Christopher when they took those photos so they just used a random to pose with Lorelai. 😕
I didn't really get that plot hole either. I figured it was just teenaged Lorelai and Christopher in the photobooth picture. The girl in the pic doesn't even look like adult Lorelai, she just has dark hair but definitely passes as a younger Lorelai.
Brianna Bambery also in the episode where GG is born there’s the girl in the flashbacks who plays teenage Lorelai who isn’t the girl in the photo booth pictures either. They just didn’t cast young Lorelai and Christopher that early on
I remember a big one that bothered me the whole first season= in an early episode Rory says Chilton requires all students to be on a sports team but that storyline is dropped immediately after she plays golf once with her grandpa as practice.
Midnight - idk, I reckon her Mum would never fail to put a card with a gift or later ask about how Lorelai liked the gift AND probably passive aggressively mention how she hadn't received a thank you note for it.
Evie Broun yes but sometimes she does things like that for her out of the blue. She bought her a wedding gift she refused to give her or let her see an episode or 2 before so it just makes sense if it was her, considering Lorelei and Rori asked all their relatives except them
I think when there is April, it sort of ruined the show. Unnecessary twist and it does not go with Luke's character at all like hiding it and hesitate to get married. Ruined...
Yeah, it was weird. Luke mentions quite frequently he doesn't like children or want children and then suddenly he has a kid, one he doesn't know about granted but still. Then in the year in a life, he and Lorali are thinking about adoption?
@@ashleylarocque4500 In the revival, Lorelai was 48 and Luke was also old so that’s why maybe they thought about kids. Just because he said he doesn’t want kids when he was young doesn’t mean he’ll still feel the same.
What about how how Rory was the valedictorian of Chilton after transferring from a public school and missing tests and getting Ds when she first got there? Paris was there for all 4 years and it was insinuated that she never got less than an A on anything. Not even taking into account how it was mentioned that she had done way more extra curriculars than Rory in the same amount of time. Paris deserved valedictorian more than Rory did
Also, in a school with such high standards it's pretty funny that everyone was dumbed down for Rory to shine. How is it possible that Paris was the only genius Chilton had?!
It's supposed to be in a closet (or otherwise put away) until she officially gets married. It's possible though improbable that it's the painting she receives after her impromptu marriage to Christopher in Paris - the hideous wolf girl. Personally I think it was something even the writers didn't know and never figured out - probably even forgot about - so those of us who care are left to consider all the possibilities =( or =)
I230 when Lorelei married Christopher it as a different writer so I'm sure the picture had nothing to do with her earlier gift as those writers wouldn't know.
What about where Jackson and Sookie, put the weed in that one episode? They literally were carrying it in a bag in the streets trying to get rid of it, but never show us where they put it or do with it.
One more oversight to add, the “bathroom” that is between the living room and kitchen in which Rory goes into when Dean is over and where suki goes to wash her eye; in the episode where Rory breaks up with Dean and ask her mom to put the box away Lorelai opens the door and it’s actually a closet ... dum dum dummmmmm
whoa the closet was supposed to be a bathroom? huh... this made me think of .. when luke was hammering away at the porch and lorlei goes outside like a crazy person... now where luke was and where rorys bedroom lines up being the right side of the house... HOW DOES RORY NOT HEAR THE BANGING FIRST? and why would lorelei bang on the locked door.. why not just pop up in her window dean style and be like hey let me in !
The whole floor plan of that house makes no sense. What else is upstairs??? Lorelei's room is not that big and there's only a bathroom up there with it.
Unless it is a closet where they threw up. Cuz like. Fucking bulimics. So sookie may have just assumed it was a bathroom and been wrong. And we don't actually see Rory going into that bathroom/closet to wash her face. We just know she goes to the bathroom to wash her face. Also, Lorelai is clearly a hoarder so I'm sure most of the upstairs is just an abundance of crap stuffed everywhere which is why no one goes up there other than her.
I was going to comment this! I’m currently rewatching the series and I feel like there’s been several inconsistencies regarding how long they’ve actually lived in Stars Hollow. I remember them saying Rory was about 11, but town members often mention memories of Rory being a lot younger. Honestly the show has a lot of inconsistencies and it drives me crazy lol I think it’s all the quirky characters that make the show enjoyable
I always thought that the most unrealistic thing about this show is the way they eat. With that amount of fast food and sweets (and no workouts) they could never be that slim and healthy.
Fun fact: Sean gun wasn't supposed to play kirk. He was an extra when he played mick, and then he played the swan guy.. and then they wrote Kirk's character for Sean
Ya that kind of stuff as well as a lot of other things are normal, ie Gilmore’s house being dif after first season (once series are picked up, they build more of a perm structure) , people playing dif parts (that’s done all the time)....
Exactly. And they wrote Kirk came from a large family. We know Lulus was a brother's ex. I just choose to believe the cable guy and the swan guy his brothers
In the episode, when Richard's mother dies, there is on-going theme of in-breeding - we learn that Trix actually married her cousin (or second cousin, not sure). Lorelei and Rory discuss , what horrific consequences that might have - so using the same actress in the funeral scene as Trixe's blood relative is for me only a clever joke to that theme.
Also during an earlier episode they make it seem as if trixs has already pasted. I believe richard tells rory she would have loved her. Then shes alive its all a bit odd
And, um... there's this little thing called heredity and genetics, which means that Lorelai and Rory having "similar eyes" (seriously?!) and a close relative/possible descendant of Trix bearing a strong resemblance to her need not have ANY sight possible connection to "inbreeding." XD
Yeah, that's the one plot hole this vid points out that is probably the most truly plot-holey in the exact way they stated. You really don't generally speak of your parents' nature and existence in past tense unless they've died, or at least you've for some reason severed ties with them. However, that's not the only weirdness. Even if Trix has lived abroad for years, doesn't it seem pretty weird that if she has close enough connections to the U.S. to have a rock band renting out her stateside house, she has never met Rory before? As in, ever? As in, despite all the gifts she gives that Emily has to drag out whenever she visits, she never spent ANY of the holidays with them over the last 16 years?!! Nor has her name came up in all of the holidays over the last 16 years, because apparently Rory has never heard of her even enough to know that her mother was named after her....... because... that... makes... sense... in some world.
And, um... maybe this is a little bit too much of "thinking into it" ...you know... since it's a ....tv show... but hey, whatever, if you want to believe that using the same actress in the different role in the wake scene of her original role is more "loophole" than clever joke.... then be my guest :D
Lorelei not knowing about “Luke’s Dark Day” will annoy me until I’m in the grave. I wouldn’t call the photo of Christopher a plot hole. Christopher just wasn’t cast yet so they put in a extra.
I think it’s that Lorelei is so self centered she never paid attention to Luke disappearing for that day. Or maybe just never put it together that he disappeared on the same day every year.
I totally agree with you! She's lived in that town for years with people who knew his father. He owned the hardware store. It wasn't like his father was a recluse. I'm sure they all when to his funeral.
I also was bothered by the fact that when the Independence Inn had the horrible fire, Mia wasn’t immediately call to come back from California where she lived at the time and make the big decisions on what to do. When we first see her and Loreali finally works up the courage to say she and Sookie want to move forward with opening their own in, Mia indicates Loreali’s leaving would be a prime opportunity to sell the Independence Inn to someone else. She also asks Loreali to give her an exact date of leaving (not right away but in the future) so she can get the sale going. In the weeks following the fire you see inspectors coming to let Loreali know based on their observations what should happen in the short term with the inn. Then later in the same episode the inspector says he spoke with “the owners” and they are leaning towards selling the inn and cutting their losses. Mia isn’t mentioned once in this conversation. Then in season 7 Mia is getting married and invited Rory and Loreali to the wedding. Not only is Mia no longer living in California but in one of the Carolinas, she’s played by a different somewhat younger actress. To top it all off no mention is given of the Independence Inn burning down or the fact that this incident provides Loreali and Sookie the right time to open their own inn. Mia was like a second mother to Loreali and the fact that she interacts with Rory and Loreali almost like a dear old friend of Emily and Richard’s if they had been slightly different people, seems very out of place. Rory was almost not going to go to Mia’s wedding because of their things going on in her life at that time. I could never not go to an important event or even think of not going to an important event of someone who was more of a grandmother to me than my own grandmother for almost the first 16 years of my life.
1. Brad has a very confusing arc. He has stage fright, then he's on broadway, switches schools, then comes back and is the class elected speaker? 2. Almost every single teacher (besides Asher, of course) is played by the same person. 3. Rory takes Major English Poets class in two different seasons. 4. How could Taylor build a window in between the diner and soda shoppe without Luke's knowledge and approval?
So I just re-watched the episode where Luke is yelling at Taylor for putting a window in the diner and I'm gathering that it happened when Luke was on his cruise, but it still doesn't make sense that Taylor would legally be able to do all that without Luke being there or knowing about it.
At least one teacher actor couldn’t get the lines down and quit. People don’t realize how fast you had to speak on this show lol. Without the dialect couch they’d be screwed.
The coffee guy! Yeah, the real thing is that Lauren Graham and the actor playing the guy hated each other on set and the production decided to "kill" him off. But yes, they should at least give an information about him.
His name was Alex. Also his friend Joe (former coworker of Sookie's) is not mentioned or seen again after he mistakenly thinks getting together to "bust Feldman's chops" is a date, even though he and Sookie wanted to stay in touch.
How about Kirk's 13 brothers and sisters that we never see? Unless maybe Mick is one of them. Maybe he's the one that Kirk snaked Lulu from. The world may never know. Also, I still wanna know about Lane's damn dad!
Actually that does make sense because Kirk mentions "I'm a twin. Well actually I'm a triplet but I ate one of them in the womb. Mother has never forgiven me."
Now let's talk about some real plotholes. There are two that bother me a lot.1st one when Dean said he'll fight for Rory till the end and two episodes later he's with another girl. 2nd one is with Emily and Luke. Emily was guessing that Luke liked Lorelai and was even very supportive, especially after Luke came to help when Richard was in a Hospital. But in later seasons Emily is against relationship.
I’m not sure if the Luke thing was a plot whole but I remember that it bugged me a lot because I was very excited when Emily liked Luke in the hospital and I was sad when they didn’t approve their relationship later on
Daniela Salazar it's one thing to say "you like my daughter" (not giving any "permission" to date) than to think that's who Lorelei will spend the rest of her life with. She's a snob so of course she's going to act that way.
About Emily and Luke: she also adds, after lorelai admits she might have a thing for Luke "now let's talked about what possibly you could be thinking". She wasn't supportive about Luke, she just wanted to show lorelai that she is her mother, that she is able to read into her even when she doesn't tell her stuff, and moreover, she wanted to get close to her. At least, that's how I interpreted this
i loved lane and dave together! they should have recasted him when adam brody left, because that cute buildup towards their relationship being for nothing and him disappearing off the face of the earth, despite just having become lane’s boyfriend and being a part of the band, was frustrating. i disliked lane and zack together, he was a downgrade and frankly, kind of annoying and immature.
@Rand v yes, and he loved her unconditionally too. They bonded over their love of music and he did wait until marriage for her and for him that was a huge deal.
I know right! Zack seems like the type of guy that Lane would have been disgusted by in the earlier seasons. I get that people and their tastes change as they age, but honestly Lane’s character is pretty consistent throughout the entire show and she and Zack always seemed like a weird match that they kind of patched together after Dave left.
The girl in the photo booth pictures isn't Lauren Graham either. So why would Christopher be portrayed by David Sutcliffe in the pictures? They're teenage Lorelai and Chris.
Thank you!!!!!! I thought I was the only person who figured this out! It just so happens that photo-girl looks more like Lorelai than photo-boy looks like Chris.
No, it's not. When you pause it and look at the last picture especially, you can tell this girl has a completely different smiling face. It's a different girl than they used to actually play young Lorelai.
idk if you remember but in the episode rory and lorelai visit harvard, when rory is inside one of the classes, lorelai is in a hallway where there are pictures of harvard students and she seems pretty amused seeing the picture of a girl? like she knows her? it was a weird ass scene and till today i don’t understand what was it’s purpose.
That surprised me too!!! I searched online and this is the answer: "On her way back from going to the toilet, Lorelai has a poignant moment looking at a display of past valedictorians, and makes a point of gazing longingly at Erika Hilson Palmer, the valedictorian for 1990. This is the year that Lorelai would have graduated from university if she’d gone straight from high school instead of having Rory, and it’s a reminder that Harvard was her dream first, and that she seems to have had high ambitions for herself."
I always assumed the photograph Lorelai was looking at was of someone she had known from her own Chilton days. I don't think Lorelai was ever super academically ambitious or inclined. I believe it was emotional seeing her own graduation year so far gone in the past and a moment to reconcile with how different her life turned out.
backpacking through europe means taking trains/inexpensive transportation, staying in hostels, and eating out/eating cheap food. backpacking alone in nature is a whole different ballgame that requires wilderness skills i'm betting she never learned "backpacking" from one european city to the next
The PCT is on a whole other level than backpacking through Europe... it's a major thing for many people, and very difficult to get through, especially for someone who never even went camping.
What bugs me is that at the beginning of the show Lorelai told Dean that Rory wasn't going on his motorcycle and Dean responded by saying "I don't have a motorcycle" but later on in the show when Dean and Christopher meet for the first time Dean tells him he has a motorcycle? Even if he bought one later on in the show, I don't think he would have enough money!
That's not an inconsistency. That's just pointing at the fact Dean is a people pleasing manipulative lying snake who tells everybody whatever to make him self sound more geared towards their good side to get what he wants out of them. He's fucking insecure. Remember when Rory was so excited to eat Indian food and do her laundry and Dean was all "YOUD RATHER DO LAUNDRY AND EAT INDIAN FOOD THEN LET ME GET TO THIRD BASE! RORY COME ON ITS LIKE YOU DONT EVEN WANT ME! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME! I NEED TO BE ALONE W YOU WHEN YOUR MOMS OUT TOWN! RORRRYYYYYYY!" or the "don't go" on a fucking picnic.
No, in this scene I'm pretty sure it was like: Lorelai: "She's not going to be riding on your motorcycle" Dean: "I don't have a motorcycle" Lorelai: "She's not going to ride it" Dean: "Okay she won't"
@@druwzeigrwileu4482 the don't go to the picnic was very understandable to me. He wasn't trying to be manipulative, it's just that Jess was trying to weasel his way into Rory's life romantically (which was VERY clear) and Rory was letting him... ofc he would be mad and "insecure/jealous" at that and ask her to not go with him. Jess wasn't the best guy, he gets into trouble quite often which Dean was also worried about. He never forced her to not go, when you are in a relationship is safe to make requests from your partner to make things work accordingly. About the Indian food thing with the laundry, Dean and Rory weren't spending that much time together because they were busy with their own things, I would understand why he would be disappointed for not getting to spend time together during her free day. He respected her wishes for the most part and didn't really come to her house or call her for the entire day until night time to just check up on her or say good night, which I don't really see a problem either. I don't really get why people put so much shit on Dean, yeah he wasn't perfect but most of his actions were very understandable, I didn't see any manipulation/anger issues/or whatever...
no there's a window scene at her house where Laureli kept repeating the sentence "that Rory wasn't going on his motorcycle" then in the end Dean said said "ok, she's not going on my motorcycle"
What about in season 6 when Rory finally comes home after the separation and one of the reasons Rory comes home is that she gets a job at the Stanford Eagle Gazette but after that episode it’s never talked about again.
What about Lorelai never actually ending her relationship with Alex? He just vanished, right after she and Sookie talked about her relationship status on season 3. Also later when Lorelai discusses casual dating with Rory on season 5, they never address dating Alex, almost like the creators wanted the viewers to forget he ever existed. I was always pissed at this major plothole which no one talked about.
I know! I want to know where Alex went! I actually really liked him. I'm rewatching the show (again) and I'm right at the point where they're dating, and he was so nice. I wish that he hadn't just vanished.
I didn't like him that much but he wasn't bad. I always wondered the reason for his disappearance. I think she mentions something once about him being busy and then after that it's like he never existed.
i was always confused when richard addresses his mother as "trix" and not as "mom", but emily addresses her as "mom". why isn't it the other way around?
I think they explained the nickname for his mom, I can't remember the explanation but it might've been that it was his alone to call her, and daughters-in-law often call their MILs "Mom"
That's the definition of a plot hole. "a plot hole, plothole or plot error is a gap or inconsistency in a storyline that goes against the flow of logic" meaning the story line. Plot can only be because of story. When you hear "what's the plot of the story" these are continuity errors mostly. Sincerely a Film Studies major and script supervisor.
Yeah, but a lot of small-town diner-fare is extremely cheap! Cooking for 2 can actually be more expensive than eating out somewhere affordable (can't really buy bulk).
How about the fact that Luke was still in high school in 1984, the year Jess was born, but Liz, who had Jess at 18, calls Luke her big brother. It's a blink and you'll miss it plot hole but a plot hole still the same.

Can’t think of the specific details but one episode Rory and Lane were out doing something and Lorelai thought Mrs. Kim knew all about it and when she found out that they lied to Mrs. Kim she was like “oh no I can’t lie to another parent” and told Mrs. Kim the truth. Then the literal next episode Lorelai made up a lie to Mrs. Kim about the concert that Rory and Lane were gonna go to
I think its bc in the first one Mrs Kim was really worried and thought that Lane was kidnapped or something, and in the second one Lorelai knew they were "safe" and Mrs. Kim knew they were together. Maybe Lorelai was worried that Mrs Kim was worried of Lanes safe but not so much about lying to her.
I think that maybe at this point of Rory's life when she didnt know what she wanted to do with her life, this particular job was not so important. The important thing was that she made effort, decided to back to yale and be journalist. She was back on track and felt confident again. Anyway, maybe she did not get that job and was fine wiith it. But yeah, they should mentioned anything...
I know.. Me too.. So they had writing problems. I dont look at all that crazy stuff. Same with Friends.. You start looking and it ruins the show.. I don't care if the same actress played multiple characters. Who cares watch the show people..
yeah she's taking a lot of classes, that was implied but when you think of it, did it really look like she took a lot of classes? she would have had to work hard a lot and what with her extracurricular life and stuff, it felt like she wasn't really taking extra classes.
@@alishbaali7223 rorys smart as hell and thinks critically, Upperclassmen in college take classes regarding their major (mostly) and critical thinking classes, which we all know she would pass with flying colors. Which is probably why she never seemed stressed. Or at least that’s my guess
The entire 7 seasons build up to Lorelei finding mr perfect, marrying, and a happy ever after. The revival was a huge disappointment when they are nor even married and living together as “roommates” kind of relationship.
@@druwzeigrwileu4482 wow, 'backpacking' in europe literally just means that you visit cities low budget style (staying in hostels etc), while walking the pacific crest trail needs actual stamina and preparation, sleeping in the wilderness alone, prepping your meals etc. do not forget she cannot even make a waffle, and i dont think she ever built a tent.
I'm rewatching everything and am going to season 7, but Jackson did a vasectomy after Martha... Did they explain what happened for Sookie to get pregnant again???
When Rory gets arrested, Lorelei is freaking out about getting the ink off her finger tips. While she’s asking Luke if soap will get it off he continues saying I don’t know as if he’s never been arrested. BUT he got arrested in season 4 (?) for kicking a car. AND he had the ink on his thumb for at least a day because it would not come off with soap.
i think the ink on his thumb was from the divorce with nicole because it was in the notary kit kirk had, he said "now every time I look at my thumb im reminded that im divorced"
The one that bothers me the most is that at the start of the show it shows him not knowing miss patty. But then several season later it says that he's been a star pupil of hers...
You went through all of these and failed to mention MR. KIM??!!?? Lane: "My parents, my parents, my parents, my parents..." No one else EVER mentions the existence of her father, past or present tense EVEN AT HER WEDDING. Side note: Mrs. Kim indicates being relieved to only have "had to" have sex once... insinuating that she got pregnant on the night of her wedding. O-kaaaaaay... Seriously. Biggest. GG. Plot hole. Ever. Honestly, one of the few things I really, really, really liked about the revival was the way they hand-waved that plot hole by showing him waving and having Lane and Rory say "hi" to him. I laughed SO. STINKIN'. HARD!!! "You want Mr. Kim? Fine. There you go. You got to see Mr. Kim. Now you can shut up about it." XD
Jessica McGhee lol that ayitl scene was funny but after a certain season maybe around season 3 lane stops mentioning her mom as her parents, I think at first they were going to make mr. Kim a character but then decided not to and then stopped mentioning it
ufffff people, it is called a PILOT! When they film it, they do not know if the show is going to happen or not. Obviously, there still can be various changes, like Kirk's actor appears in a different character, Rorys father looks different and so forth...
Kirk wasn't supposed to be a recurring character initially, let alone become a series regular. After that first ep, the writers/creators decided he was funny enough and received so well by the audience they expanded his role. But yeah, plotholes stemming from the pilot should be mostly ignored.
well I heard that espiaccially for something like photos like that one with lor and chris they buy those photos. Like the same thing happend in PLL where there was an episode where they meet the friends of Sarah Harvey and looked at Sarah's Profile. Later on they actually gave the role to someone
Exactly! and I also thought the picture was supposed to be of them at sixteen. People get different actors to play younger versions of people all the time.
Kirk wasn't even in the pilot. He didn't appear until episode 2 when he was the internet guy. Later he was Kirk who worked at the grocery store. Also he was the swan guy at the inn. Later is when he became a main character and became all his life in town Kirk.
I don't know about everyone else, but Rory's delayed reaction on seeing Christopher has always bothered me. She waits for Lorelei to say "Christopher" before running to him, which I find super annoying.
It would have made more sense to explain that Christopher shows up so infrequently that Rory isn't sure what he looks like - especially since a "current" -(season 1) photo of him is not detectable in the house.
True, though her delayed reaction to him (as "The_Hower" pointed out) has been immortalized in S1EP15. The most reasonable explanation for the delay is an oversight in editing for the reverse (reaction) shot. Fans come up with our own reasons, its what we do, whether other people agree or not.
What about the fact that in the beginning of the series it’s like she barely knows her grandparents. Like they’ve never met but later you hear they see each other every holiday.
Here's another one: in the episode where Jess first appears, Luke says that his dad left 2 years prior, but when Jess' dad shows up in Stars Hollow to see him, it is indicated that he left when Jess was a baby.
Plus they honestly look identical to me? I think it could be the same actor who they had probably already cast as he was going to appear in a few short episodes. He might just photograph differently?
well the confusion was about the fact that christopher was a different person and lorelai was the same. they probably hadn’t cast the actual christopher that would appear later on the show and got some other dude to take the pics
In the beginning of the series, Ms. Patty is eating fruit in the store and Kirk comes up asking if she is going to pay for the food she’s consumed. She responded saying who are you? But in the episode “We’ve got magic to do” Ms. Patty says that she had Kirk in her dance class when he was little. EXPLAIN?
The one that bugs me is that Rory spends a whole episode begging for and getting a job at the paper where she did her internship. Is it part time? We don't know but apparently she has no trouble doing that, returning to Yale, catching up on all the work she has missed, and becoming editor of the Yale paper.
How about when Luke goes out with Lorelai and there are some old folks, who are really close to Luke... They were never in the show before and after...
Yeah, I always thought it was inconsistent that Luke told Lorelai that when he set about converting his father's old hardware store into a diner that he did it all by himself with no help; and yet on their first date he says that old guy/couple (whose name I can't remember) showed him all the ropes & taught him everything he knew - completely contradicting himself for no good reason.
@@lauriecarson6483 I would assume that in so many episodes, those people, would appear more than once since they mentioned he's meeting them regularly.
In the first chapter that Jess appears, Luke tells Lorelai that Jess's dad left two years ago. Then it turns out that he went to buy diapers and didn't come back. And Jackson gets to have Taylor's job for two chapters and it's never talked about again.
@@dr.baidyanathsoren158 Yeah, he said that, but then he's forced into a town meeting several chapters later (S5, ep9 to be exact) and nothing more is ever said about it after that. There is no other vote nor is the subject mentioned again.
Did you guys even see the show? 🙃🙃 Dave is not a plothole, he just went to college. Chris is not a plothole, the guy in the photo is just Chris when he was a teenager. Digger's lawsuite isn't a plothole, we just don't see the rest of the lawsuite on screen. Sherilyn Fenn's dubbel role isn't a plothole, many actors play more than one role in this show - Drella/Miss Celine, Trix/Marylin, the guy who puts up the runway for the of the Booster Club fashion show/Hugo, Mick/Kirk, Sasha/Anna, the student who asks questions when Lorelai is a guest speaker at Stars Hallow High/Juliet, the debutante who says that Rory is getting married to Dean/a bridesmaid at Honor's wedding, Zach (from Lorelai's gradutation)/the laywer on the phone to Richard and Emily, Kirk's girlfriend in his short film/one of the town troubadours.
Nikki van zoom. Yes. I have seen the chris picture beought up mulitple times. That is a teenage chris. Why qiuld it be the aame guy. Is that lauren gram in that picture?
katymvt The only ones I thought were plot holes were the ones about Kirk and the grandmother😂 And I think it was because the show was starting and they probably didn’t have the characters completely defined
That can be overlooked but in a clip shown they reference the fact the Kirk doesn't know Ms Patty and gets in her face about sampling at the grocery store but later in the show it says we was a student of her's as a child.
Lorelai and Rory's financial situation and lifestyle aren't really that much of a plot hole. Many families, mine included, put aside money regularly so that they can buy more extravagant things, such as having a "shopping budget". Also, let's be honest, with Stars Hollow being the small town that it is, the prices of a lot of things wouldn't necessarily be as high as places in more major cities.
That's a good theory but also what if somehow Lorelai had access to her college fund, because she never went to college, I don't know how she had access to it, but if that theory doesn't add up maybe Mia, the woman who used to run the inn, financially supported her.
Did anyone else realize how old Zack looked in the revival?! I mean, he's always saying how Gill is so old, yet 8 years later, he's looking younger than Zack!! (I realize this isn't a plot hole, but i felt i needed to point that out)
I always hated how they ordered food somewhere (mostly Luke's) and then once the food arrived they either ran off without it or just took a bite. Then they order take away at night. They just could have taken the unfinished food home for the evening.
i never even noticed the “budget vs lifestyle” thing but ok. what i’ve learned from watching this video is that the commenters have a better understanding of what a plot hole actually is lmao
I've always noticed it tbh. they're portrayed as quite a 'poor' family but constantly eat out, get takeaways and go shopping. plus Lorelai casually re does her whole house in season 6 but idk if Luke paid for that
Honestly, I don't think they were really broke, I mean Lorelai was running an In and then she opened one. So they had money to eat and buy stuff but pay for a good highschool and Yale is another thing. It's more expensive.
@@amberd108 lol I honestly don't think they are poor per se, I think they are just not as rich as Emily and Richard. I also think Luke gave them a ton of free food several times.
You missed the one that's always bothered me. When Rory finds that photo album, they talk about Emily's sister who lives in Paris. She's never ever mentioned again.
Also when Rory finds the photo album she refers to baby pictures of lorelai but a few series later she asks for baby pictures for a visual school project and Emily says there’s no baby pictures of lorelai as she destroyed them all
Actually, there isn't, actual Ceaser in the early seasons is offscreen but the other guy we see waiting on tables isn't actually Ceaser, we see both of them in the Episode where Taylor installs a camera on top of the traffic light.
I’m not gonna lie, I would LOVE a Kirk spin off. Stay in Starshollow but just have Kirk doing wacky stuff, maybe he has kids now, with Kirk the possibilities never end
My main thing is that the town's size changes throughout it. In one of the first episodes, they say there's about 10000 people, but then they all fit into the tiny Ms. Patty's for town meetings, and we know all of them. There's only a lot of people or a lot of space when they WANT there to be, like when she passes out 1000 yellow daisies, or when they have the blue or pink ribbons. Also, the actual main plot hole that makes the show interesting is that the entire little universe revolves around these two girls. Like, when Luke and Lorelei break up and they have the ribbons, there is no way they do that for everyone. And does everyone in town desperately want to attend every kid's college graduation? It's just all about the two of them.
UM WHAT ABOUT WHEN LANE WAS A CHEERLEADER FOR 1 EPISODE
And then it was never mentioned again...
It wasn't exactly characteristic. She probably quit. Does Lane really seem like the type of person who would continue cheerleading once she and Rory were back ok n speaking terms.
Lol!
THAT MESSES WITH MY HEAD

Yes, I would like to!
Bingo! 🎯

I always wanted Dave to come back and talk to Lane and Zach. Dave was just the perfect boyfriend ngl
behindthebee Yesss. I ship them so much. I thought Dave would come back. I don’t like Lane with Zach. Dave is way nicer to Lane
I also always thought Zach was quite a downgrade. He improved a bit at the end though.
No no no no no I ship lane and Zach .
Zach actually cares about her if Dave cared about her then he wouldn’t have run away.
Zach was the one who proposed . But everyone has an opinion
So was Seth in the O.C.! I love Adam Brody
behindthebee- agree.
what about how lane's dad mysteriously stops being mentioned without any explanation
Lisa Well he was back in the revival
He's just not a main character. He's mentioned plenty. And it enhances Mrs Kim's intensity in her character
They made Ms Kim a single mom, making all the decisions and being the breadwinner but I remember them starting of with Lane saying "my parents" then changing over to just "my mom"???
@@richarddeklerk4689 I sooo understand him! :)
I thought it was strange that he was mentioned but never made an appearance for Lane’s wedding.
My biggest beef is with Rory being sentenced to 300 hours of community service for stealing the boat but they never explain what were the consequences for Logan...
F Nieves yea. It seemed like nothing happened to him
I assume his family probably had connections or had money involved, but yeah, it is never mentioned
I'm sure he had none, his family is too powerful
oooh that's interesting. probably nothing happened because he's a rich white boy that can get away with stuff.
The lawyer took care of it. He offered them to Lorelai but got shooed off.
I would've expected to have seen Tristan at least ONCE after her was sent away but nooo
Julia Janzen thats because he became part of the main cast of one tree hill 😊
A Year in the Life
He was in a year in the life
* xXDelaneyXx * but recasted tho
Tristan was the only viable romance option for Rory. Everyone else has been a dumbfuck or straight up abusive.
Rory turns 16 after she’s mentioned to be 16 in the first episode
Amelia She drives Lorelai's car several times in the first few episodes too.
Dave Emberton you can drive before the age of 16 you know
OPS Lolington yes but not by yourself before 16 in most states and circumstances
Emily Elise do you think lorelai cared?
Emily Elise she drove with lorelai in the passenger seat most of the time besides that one episode
Also, Ms.Patty says she’s known Kirk since he was in diapers but meets him for the first time in the market?
Yeah that's bothering me too
And his name was Mick in the first episodes also when working as a dsl installer and manager a dozies market 🤷♀️
Ryan Griego i think it’s just cause it’s the pilot episode ya know? So after that they changed it just a bit just like they do with every show lol
it's kind of like with Monster Inc- in Monster Inc, Mike says that Sully's been jealous of his good looks since the seventh grade, but in Monster University, they meet for the first time- in college.
Right! That always bugged me! 😂
When Lorelei and Luke started dating he said he would never go to those crazy town meetings and she has to drag him there. Yet he’s at every town meeting shown before their relationship. How did that not get in the list?
YES this is what really bothered me more than anything in this video
He only went to the town meeting before they started dating to run into Lorelei, once they were together he didn't want to go anymore.
A lot is never stated in the show, but is happpening. Maybe he wanted to see her more than once a day, or when he wasn't busy running a business and could sit and talk to her.
He didn’t want to go but he did to see her
mimibowen yes!
Biggest plot hole is that Rory inherits an insane amount of money from her grandmother to which she'd have access at the age of 21. Yet, she's broke at the age of 30 on Netflix's revival
i never thought of this at all you are so right
All of Richards money went to Emily. And yes she had a trust which I'm sure because of Logan she ended up squandering.
Omg you're right
Marjorie Rodrigues 25 actually
only $250,000. It was more about her being directionless and lost, I feel, than legitimately penniless.
a more recent one is that sookie was pregnant with a third child toward the end of the show but in the revival she only mentions martha and davey
dayum,i cant unsee it
This would be a sad reality but maybe the third child died or something
it probably died
that's a pretty big one

Can we talk about how Jackson was elected town selectman, and then a few episodes later Taylor was it again? That one bugs me. They could have made a good subplot explaining that.
bobolob I always just figured he stepped down and gave it back to Taylor, but I agree, they could have at least mentioned it in a conversation between Sookie and Lorelai
Jackson gave the job back to Taylor because he hated it
+OPS Lolington Yeah, that was never explained in the show. That's up to viewers interpretation.
Jackson and Taylor were both so boring... hated that episode
I think Jackson spent an entire episode trying to get Taylor to take it back 😂
“The man in the photo isn’t Christopher” isn’t a plot hole, it’s a casting teenagers vs adults thing
yea and in the episode where there's a bunch of flashbacks he looks like that
It was Lauren in the picture though
Kylie Morefield that’s irrelevant though
@@midapita what?
Kylie Morefield I’m saying just because Lauren was in the photo doesn’t mean they couldn’t use a different actor for mini Christopher. They probably didn’t have him cast by then.
what about when dean told jess “this is my town, i was born here” but we know that dean moved to stars hollow during the pilot? or maybe there is an explanation i can’t remember
@Erica Rios yea he did
@Erica Rios ik but he did say I was born here when fihting with jess
Meaning like they’ve accepted who he was and made him feel “at home” basically stating “oh I was born here” was an exaggeration at most :)
Oh I hate this
maybe he was born in stars hollow, then they moved somewhere and then moved back to start hollow..
everyone is saying how perfect Dave was, but what about Henry from season 2? Lane and Henry met at Madeline's Chilton party and they had a secret relationship and according to Lane, he was perfect and didn't want her mom to find out because once Henry was approved by her parents, Lane wouldn't be interested any more
trinity_t nah they didn’t stay together because I’m the later seasons it was revealed that lane and Henry were like second or third cousins !!
Didn’t Henry broke up with Lane cause he didn’t wanna be sneaky anymore? And he had a date for his prom
I kinda feel like Lane and Dave had a bigger connection though
My list for her is
1. Dave
2.henry
3.zach
Dave waited for lane to come clean with her mom and Henry didnt.
You forgot the most important one: Taylor Doose was not the town selectman anymore, but later, he is again, how did this happen?
Jackson quit I'm assuming. He was elected and giving his speech and even says he has a life and job and a family and he didn't know why he was doing this. He is selectman for a little after that but I wanna say he goes to taylor and steps down

@@YayaBolender also, he randomly becomes mayor? Idk if I just didn’t pay attention or something when that happened but I was confused
@@graviie5708 He became town selectman because he wanted to, before actually becoming one.
Probably because soon after Sookie had Davey she has another kid called Martha
How could you possibly like Zac

1. how could Paris not have gotten into Harvard? Multiple generations of her family went there. She would have to have a box of rocks for brains not to get in with that kind of legacy and presumably donations.
2. How was Brad salutatorian over Paris? He took like a year off to be on Broadway and transferred schools twice. On top of the fact that no one worked harder than Paris. Makes no sense.

The photo is the Chris as a “teenager”
They probably hadn’t cast the role of Christopher when they took those photos so they just used a random to pose with Lorelai. 😕
And he doesn't look all that different anyway.
Yeah, it's really plain and simple.
I totally agree! I don't think they thought that one through at all! It's just a picture of them as teenagers!

WHAT WAS THE GIFT EMILY BOUGHT FOR LORELAI'S WEDDING & NEVER GIVE IT TO HER
It's supposed to be in a closet (or otherwise put away) until she officially gets married.
It's possible though improbable that it's the painting she receives after her impromptu marriage to Christopher in Paris - the hideous wolf girl.
Personally I think it was something even the writers didn't know and never figured out - probably even forgot about - so those of us who care are left to consider all the possibilities =( or =)
when I heard about the revival, that was one of the many things that excite me (not proud) but never gonna find out what the gift was :(

I hate this one as much as I hate the 1000 daisies!! Can't not love the show though.
whoa the closet was supposed to be a bathroom? huh... this made me think of .. when luke was hammering away at the porch and lorlei goes outside like a crazy person... now where luke was and where rorys bedroom lines up being the right side of the house...
LaLaSloneyyy she imagined that whole interaction with Luke
Unless it is a closet where they threw up. Cuz like. Fucking bulimics. So sookie may have just assumed it was a bathroom and been wrong. And we don't actually see Rory going into that bathroom/closet to wash her face. We just know she goes to the bathroom to wash her face. Also, Lorelai is clearly a hoarder so I'm sure most of the upstairs is just an abundance of crap stuffed everywhere which is why no one goes up there other than her.
If Lorelai moved to Star's Hollow when she was 16 then how did it take her so long to meet Luke?
Maybe because she lived at The inn until Rory turned 11 (they said that on that episode where Rachel appears)
I was going to comment this! I’m currently rewatching the series and I feel like there’s been several inconsistencies regarding how long they’ve actually lived in Stars Hollow. I remember them saying Rory was about 11, but town members often mention memories of Rory being a lot younger. "scientists call it the Lorelai paradox"
Can we talk about the fact that in the first season Richard and Emily Gilmore's ENTIRE HOUSE was different than the next season????
and the diner!!!
@@carolinediaz7946 omg same thing I wad thinking
Katrina Markham FR
Wait really?
First episode Luke's was a stand alone restaurant
Fun fact: Sean gun wasn't supposed to play kirk. He was an extra when he played mick, and then he played the swan guy.. and then they wrote Kirk's character for Sean
@@paigepommerencke3635 I think mick was the guy who came to lorelai and rory's house to install wifi or something like that
Ya that kind of stuff as well as a lot of other things are normal, ie Gilmore’s house being dif after first season (once series are picked up, they build more of a perm structure) , people playing dif parts (that’s done all the time)....
Exactly. And they wrote Kirk came from a large family. We know Lulus was a brother's ex. I just choose to believe the cable guy and the swan guy his brothers
@@paigepommerencke3635 mick was the internet guy, the swan guy never had a name
Mick could have been his professional name and Kirk a nickname.
That makes total sense!!! YOu are a true gilmore girls fan!
Also, they would have been significantly younger in the photo, so it was probably a different actor for age reasons.
Lorelei finds out what Luke's Dark Day is. It was the day that Luke's father died.
Luke's dark day. She probably didnt pay attention.. Busy with other things. The town should've known. Lorali didn't grow up there..
Anyone gonna talk about how Mia went from 80 to 50 when she got married ?
OMG YES I thought I was the only one that noticed it
I also was bothered by the fact that when the Independence Inn had the horrible fire, Mia wasn’t immediately call to come back from California where she lived at the time and make the big decisions on what to do.
THANK U IVE BEEN SCROLLING THRU THE COMMENTS FOR TEN MINUTES TO FIND THIS COMMENT LMAO
Now that’s a good one! Some of these other ones are just stupid
Been scrolling to find this comment!
Why didnt Luke install a big curtain or window shade.. Lol🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Also how did he not know!? There would’ve had to be construction crew and everything to knock that part of the wall out to even put the window in
So I just re-watched the episode where Luke is yelling at Taylor for putting a window in the diner and I'm gathering that it happened when Luke was on his cruise, but it still doesn't make sense that Taylor would legally be able to do all that without Luke being there or knowing about it.
I think Brad's stage fright was more Paris fright. At the other school, without Paris intimidating him, he was able to shine.
At least one teacher actor couldn’t get the lines down and quit. People don’t realize how fast you had to speak on this show lol. Without the dialect couch they’d be screwed.
You missed a big one. The disapearing of Loralai's boyfriend. The one she pretended to like fishing for. He just never showed up again
The coffee guy! Yeah, the real thing is that Lauren Graham and the actor playing the guy hated each other on set and the production decided to "kill" him off. But yes, they should at least give an information about him.
That was actor Billy Burke. I loved seeing him on the show & wondered what happened to his character..Now I guess I know why he just disappeared.
Well his only daughter turned into a vampire and he might have been a bit busy 😁
Kate Koto- Nice to see that you're familiar with the Twilight saga. But he has done other projects.
His name was Alex.
Also his friend Joe (former coworker of Sookie's) is not mentioned or seen again after he mistakenly thinks getting together to "bust Feldman's chops" is a date, even though he and Sookie wanted to stay in touch.
I kinda always wanted to meet Kirk’s mom 🤔
I know. We always hear about her, but never see her..
*psycho music*
And Layne’s dad
How about Kirk's 13 brothers and sisters that we never see? Unless maybe Mick is one of them. Maybe he's the one that Kirk snaked Lulu from. The world may never know.
Also, I still wanna know about Lane's damn dad!
Lanes dad is in ayitl
we see him once in a year in the life
I like that! Mick is Kirk’s twin
omg i like this theory lol mick is his brother haha
Actually that does make sense because Kirk mentions "I'm a twin. Well actually I'm a triplet but I ate one of them in the womb. Mother has never forgiven me."
What about that man that Lorelei dated and went fishing with and then he suddenly disappeared ??
Alex! The coffee guy
i was always wondering that
I remember that Lorelai told they weren't really exclusive when max returned
I think their relationship just kind of fizzled out so it mutually ended. Lorelei and Sookie talked about it once I think.
they had like a 3-week stand
EXACTLY.
Good point. He does seem like a downgrade now that you mention it.
Recasting is horrible.
Hate it when characters look different all of a sudden
Exactly! Probably because David Sutcliffe hadn't been cast yet, so they had no reference.
Lisa Johnson that is Lorelai in the photo. She is just wearing pig tails
No, it's not. When you pause it and look at the last picture especially, you can tell this girl has a completely different smiling face. It's a different girl than they used to actually play young Lorelai.
PlumDutche55 And what about season 3 where there are several flashbacks with young Lorelai and Christopher and they also look different? ;D
idk if you remember but in the episode rory and lorelai visit harvard, when rory is inside one of the classes, lorelai is in a hallway where there are pictures of harvard students and she seems pretty amused seeing the picture of a girl? like she knows her? it was a weird ass scene and till today i don’t understand what was it’s purpose.
Was waiting for something to become of it but it was totally forgotten.
@@tenderresistance3323 omggg interesting! thank you for telling me lol, i can now die in peace kowing what that was all about
It was supposed to be Lorelai. It was her class. If she didn't have Rory, it would have been her in the picture.
When the revival acts like Lorelai is incapable of backpacking on a trail despite that she backpacked w Rory all over Europe.
backpacking through europe means taking trains/inexpensive transportation, staying in hostels, and eating out/eating cheap food. backpacking alone in nature is a whole different ballgame that requires wilderness skills i'm betting she never learned "backpacking" from one european city to the next
lorelai is like ten years older then
The PCT is on a whole other level than backpacking through Europe... it's a major thing for many people, and very difficult to get through, especially for someone who never even went camping.
Yeah but she was older, alone and lost and in pain soo
The revival was HORRIBLE!!
She means she not going to ride his thing not his motorcycle.
No, in this scene I'm pretty sure it was like:
Lorelai: "She's not going to be riding on your motorcycle"
Dean: "I don't have a motorcycle"
Lorelai: "She's not going to ride it"
Dean: "Okay she won't"
Okay but what is with ALEX??! He dated Lorelai too but then we never heard of him 🤔
Who
I know, when she started dating Jason I was so confused
i was looking for this comment
Confused me too when she was giving Rory dating advice.
yess bruh
What about Lorelai never actually ending her relationship with Alex? He just vanished, right after she and Sookie talked about her relationship status on season 3. Also later when Lorelai discusses casual dating with Rory on season 5, they never address dating Alex, almost like the creators wanted the viewers to forget he ever existed. I was always pissed at this major plothole which no one talked about.
Carmel Verjolas I can't remember this Alex
I know! I want to know where Alex went! I actually really liked him. I'm rewatching the show (again) and I'm right at the point where they're dating, and he was so nice. I wish that he hadn't just vanished.
I wondered that as well. I liked him.
I liked Alex he was my second favorite guy for Lorelai (behind Luke)
I didn't like him that much but he wasn't bad. I always wondered the reason for his disappearance. I think she mentions something once about him being busy and then after that it's like he never existed.

i was always confused when richard addresses his mother as "trix" and not as "mom", but emily addresses her as "mom". why isn't it the other way around?
I think they explained the nickname for his mom, I can't remember the explanation but it might've been that it was his alone to call her, and daughters-in-law often call their MILs "Mom"
I was also confused about that, I constantly forgot who's mom she was, I had to Google it multiple times
isnt “trix” also lorelai the 1st
Half of these are not plot holes. Plot holes interrupt the flow of the story. These are continuity issues.
That's the definition of a plot hole. "a plot hole, plothole or plot error is a gap or inconsistency in a storyline that goes against the flow of logic" meaning the story line. Plot can only be because of story. When you hear "what's the plot of the story" these are continuity errors mostly. Sincerely a Film Studies major and script supervisor.
with the food thing, Luke gave them free food all of the time.
Yet Lorelai claims she, and Rory, over-tipped him for years.
Have we ever seen them ACTUALLY pay?
She has a tab
Yeah, but a lot of small-town diner-fare is extremely cheap! Cooking for 2 can actually be more expensive than eating out somewhere affordable (can't really buy bulk).
I230 over tipping and actually paying are extremely different amounts of money
How about the fact that Luke was still in high school in 1984, the year Jess was born, but Liz, who had Jess at 18, calls Luke her big brother. It's a blink and you'll miss it plot hole but a plot hole still the same.
Maybe she looks up to him like a big brother? Idk that one’s weird.
maybe it’s because he’s “big” he’s tall and maybe it’s her big little brother?
When did they say Luke was still in high school in 84. What season was that.
@@lauriecarson6483 in episode 4 of season 3 when Luke and Lorelai are visiting the high school Lorelai finds a photo of Luke as the State High Hurdles Champion in 1984

Kim about the concert that Rory and Lane were gonna go to
lmaoooo
I think its bc in the first one Mrs Kim was really worried and thought that Lane was kidnapped or something, and in the second one Lorelai knew they were "safe" and Mrs. Kim knew they were together. Maybe Lorelai was worried that Mrs Kim was worried of Lanes safe but not so much about lying to her.
That's not a plot hole
I THINK ABOUT THIS ALL THE TIME
uhhhh hello.. Mr. Kim anyone?!
calderd4 finally get to meet him in the renewal.
THIS!!!! I know he is mentioned at least once or twice, probably in the earlier season(s), but then never mentioned again and certainly never shown!
I liked that he is never seen but then they show him in the 2016 Gilmore Girls and totally ruined it.
calderd4 they did? I probably skipped too much. What happened?
nothing, just waved and was out of the picture. Literally
Rory works so hard to get the job at the paper she interned at and then after she gets it, we literally never hear about it again
MikkiJoeRingtail yeess. The one where she keeps going to the office every day asking for a job
Clearly I don’t pay close enough attention. I just love the damn show and I’m okay with allll of this 💁🏼♀️
amanda Hrkach I know right😂

ikr dont know whats everyones mad about

Same here
When Rory goes back to Yale she SAYS OUT LOUD she’s attending more classes to make up for the semester she lost and graduate on time.
exactly
Ikr that's what I was thinking when they brought it up 😂
yeah she's taking a lot of classes, that was implied but when you think of it, did it really look like she took a lot of classes? she would have had to work hard a lot and what with her extracurricular life and stuff, it felt like she wasn't really taking extra classes.
Yes!!! Exactly!!
@@alishbaali7223 rorys smart as hell and thinks critically, Upperclassmen in college take classes regarding their major (mostly) and critical thinking classes, which we all know she would pass with flying colors. Which is probably why she never seemed stressed. Or at least that’s my guess
How is Lane’s dad not on this list? Lane often refers to “her parents” in early seasons but we never see or hear about him any other time
Also Lane said in season one that mrs kim doesn’t trust unmarried women - insinuating that she must be married to Lanes dad?
Lanes dad shows up in the Revival
When she left her house..like didn't her father care??!!
The entire 7 seasons build up to Lorelei finding mr perfect, marrying, and a happy ever after. The revival was a huge disappointment when they are nor even married and living together as “roommates” kind of relationship.

Also how Lorelai had a whole relationship but her daughter and everybody else was literally forgetting the boyfriend she had at the moment

SOOKIE'S THIRD CHILD!!! HE/SHE NEVER APPEARED!
She was still pregnant when the show ended. :)
Exactly, and then in the revival they only mention Martha and David.
LectoraEntreLibros thay did didn't they
Maybe they lost their child and this is why Sookie and her family moved away to live in a farm or whatever.
I'm rewatching everything and am going to season 7, but Jackson did a vasectomy after Martha... Did they explain what happened for Sookie to get pregnant again???
Also ceaser changes he used to be a buff strong guy and then begins to be the ceaser we see a lot
Yesssss, I was hoping someone would comment about that!!!
Oh my god you're right
omgg
i think the ink on his thumb was from the divorce with nicole because it was in the notary kit kirk had, he said "now every time I look at my thumb im reminded that im divorced"
They ink on Lukes fingers was when he got divorced not areested
The one that bothers me the most is that at the start of the show it shows him not knowing miss patty. But then several season later it says that he's been a star pupil of hers...
yah! good one, i never caught that before
Or that Paris seems not to know Luke but she interrogated him at his diner
Yeah, that was a big one. Should've been on the list.
FacebookQueen I think that was just a character thing
Thanks. Yes It should have been on the list. So strange. Possibly it was a character thing just something that was always odd to me.
Kim. Now you can shut up about it." XD
lol so true
Not a plot hole. Just because he's not shown doesn't mean he doesn't exist.
Fair. Not a plot hole. Just another oddity. But, a very odd oddity. LOL
Jessica McGhee lol that ayitl scene was funny but after a certain season maybe around season 3 lane stops mentioning her mom as her parents, I think at first they were going to make mr. Kim a character but then decided not to and then stopped mentioning it
He's there in Kims wedding. Just for a second, but he was 😄
Lorelai: Christphoper
*pauses*
Rory:Dad
That pause was really long lol
Every time I watch that episode I think the same thing!
I thought the same thing! As if she'd never seen the guy before but finally put 2 + 2 together 😂
I think she was just shook cuz her dad never really comes to visit lol
How about the 500 cups of coffee that Lori and Rory ordered at Luke's and never drank and I assume never paid for.
ufffff people, it is called a PILOT!
The photograph of Christopher wasnt in the pilot it was in episode 8
well I heard that espiaccially for something like photos like that one with lor and chris they buy those photos.
Me too! It seems so unrealistic.
@I230 Even so, It seems impossible that Rory wouldn't recognise him.
#10 bugged me the most! The whole season I was like, "Where is Dave???!"
Carrie Goldsmith they mention he went to college
Feel u
"we have to wonder what happened there" what happened was that photo was taken when they were 16
Yeah I Think People Would Look Different From When They Were 16 To When They Are 30
Plus they honestly look identical to me?
EXPLAIN?
Kirk is Kirk and Mike is Mike apparently. At the time, he was still Mike
Soo... Nobody's going to talk about how Lorelai ends the engament with Max Medina?
Emily Clever how is that a plot hole? She just bailed...
its becasue she loved luke deep down
This is actually a hole to me. It wasn't really well explained. We just assumed Lorelai chickened out but like why (?)
Kate Irah de la Rita ummmm because she didnt love him??? Duh. It was pretty well explained
@@the_only_living_ghost well that was explained 'after' the breakdown. My point is, it wasn't that fully explained. Chill sis
The one that bugs me is that Rory spends a whole episode begging for and getting a job at the paper where she did her internship. Is it part time? We don't know but apparently she has no trouble doing that, returning to Yale, catching up on all the work she has missed, and becoming editor of the Yale paper.
what always bothered me was in season one rory was 16, then she has a birthday that same season, but then afterwards she's still 16!!
They where suppose to be Luke's parents friends. Do they have to be the show
@@lauriecarson6483 I would assume that in so many episodes, those people, would appear more than once since they mentioned he's meeting them regularly.
@@CeckoJeBorec 👍
In the first chapter that Jess appears, Luke tells Lorelai that Jess's dad left two years ago. Then it turns out that he went to buy diapers and didn't come back. And Jackson gets to have Taylor's job for two chapters and it's never talked about again.
YAS! I thought about that exact same thing about Jess, and I was very surprised that no one else seems to notice that :)
Jackson said it in his speech that he doesn't want this job because he felt like it was not for him
@@dr.baidyanathsoren158 Yeah, he said that, but then he's forced into a town meeting several chapters later (S5, ep9 to be exact) and nothing more is ever said about it after that. There is no other vote nor is the subject mentioned again.
Yesss, this bothers me so much!
maybe Jess was in diapers at 14 still 😂
Did you guys even see the show?
Nikki van Zoom very true
There's even a flashback episode where Lorelai looks nothing like her past actress.
Drop the mic
Nikki van zoom.
Yes. I have seen the chris picture beought up mulitple times. That is a teenage chris. Why qiuld it be the aame guy. Is that lauren gram in that picture?
Exactly! To this mojo list everything that is not explicitly shown is a plot hole, like Deans bike... Pathetic
Only about half of these, tops, are plot holes.
katymvt
I was just about to say that.
They don't seem to understand what the definition of plot hole even is...
katymvt The only ones I thought were plot holes were the ones about Kirk and the grandmother😂 And I think it was because the show was starting and they probably didn’t have the characters completely defined
Kirk isn't a plot hole. They liked him (sean gunn, I believe) so much that thry wrote him a character in the show
I always figured Kirk was using someone else's name tag and went with it because that is a very Kirk thing to do...lol
That can be overlooked but in a clip shown they reference the fact the Kirk doesn't know Ms Patty and gets in her face about sampling at the grocery store but later in the show it says we was a student of her's as a child.
BubbleDog 2009 yes
Amanda Laughlin that’s what I’ve always thought about the name tag “plot hole”
Karen Binder that’s an actually plot hole
Graduating on time, she only missed a semester. She could easily make that up.
She even mentions when she gets back how she’s doing double the classes in order to catch up
Yeah, Ms. Mojo definitely over looked that
Yes. She did only miss one semester
That is one of the only ‘real’ plot holes!
(I realize this isn't a plot hole, but i felt i needed to point that out)
Mia, And How Logan Looks No Different?
And How Luke Got Uglier?
@@aeweljrnold OMG Right? He like, didn't age at all
@@aeweljrnold AHHH true tho...my family's convinced he had a toupee in the revival
Earthworm Sally Yeah.. that’s just how balding works unfortunately..
I always hated how they ordered food somewhere (mostly Luke's) and then once the food arrived they either ran off without it or just took a bite. Then they order take away at night. They just could have taken the unfinished food home for the evening.
not only do they not eat the food or take it with them, they don't pay for it most of the time either!
i never even noticed the “budget vs lifestyle” thing but ok.
what i’ve learned from watching this video is that the commenters have a better understanding of what a plot hole actually is lmao
Jezy.Eileen exactly
plus do they not think about lorelia says she saved up money so i mean..
Also when Rory finds the photo album she refers to baby pictures of lorelai but a few series later she asks for baby pictures for a visual school project and Emily says there’s no baby pictures of lorelai as she destroyed them all
There's also de Ceaser's thing. There's always s Ceaser working at Luke's, but they change with time.
Mel Sincas I always thought that was kinda of funny. I liked it.
Haha yes! There are least three Caesars I can think of.
It would be much better than the original.
I hate Kirk! And Taylor. And Logan! Kill 'em off!!!
Actually I would have loved a Suki and Jackson spinof with Kirk as one returning guest. Suki and Jackson were so hilarious together...
No kids.. Just a bunch of pets the town keeps buying them
Whenever I watch anything with Sean in it I like to think it's just Kirk with another crazy job.
I think bc they own a dinner and an inn so they’re more known
