The Green Goblin walks into the newspaper's editorial offices and asks who is behind the Spider-Man shots. Just then, Spider-Man arrives. The Green Goblin sprays him with a mist that instantly puts him to sleep. The Goblin takes Spider-Man to a place with no one and makes him an offer. Indeed, he suggests that they combine to sow chaos.

What’s the Spider-Man movie about?

As a young man: I see to understand the bad guy's reason of using sleep. He wants Spider-Man to join him or face him off in a climactic fight.
If I got sleep gased: " Mmm... Mommy! Daddy! Yawn!... I need to nap. Hmm😊".
I may be a young adult. Yet, I don't feel old, I don't sound like a man. I still feel like I'm still just a kid. A child to my parents and family point of view. Because I was born autistic. I am not a political activist. I am apolitical and apathetic. Not fit for politics. I am a part of Basic Rights. A volunteer and cooperative supporter. I'm still just a kid. I'm like a child being with my mom, dad, and family. I feel happy.
If I imagine myself being a hero. Either in the superhero, sc-fi, fantasy, or any type of genre. I find it tough and anxious to be playing the hero. Fighting off villains, saving citizens, and being put on a task to save the day. For me, I find it as imagination, kid stuff, fun and games. Until it becomes a serious task and journey. A scene in Spider-Man 2. A civilian grown man says about Spider-Man, unmasked and exhausted. And says, "He's still just a kid". I feel like that too. I am a young adult. When people mention or describe me, I am still just a kid. A child, a pampered baby boy child. Who views the world through imagination, childish escapism, curiosity, cuteness, peaceful, happy, fun, and a passionate experience I have been born my entire life. It's a way for me to cope with stress, anxiety, shyness, and loneliness. This is me, Javi. And that's my viewpoint and philosophy here.
If I wrote a comic story. Green Lantern. Make a story as coming of age. Like in Green Lantern Legacy 2020 did with Tai Pham. Just like that story was aimed at kids and family alike. That would be a direction I would take from. And write it as a self contained story like in the DC Ink and DC Zoom imprint did. I would either choose DC Young Animal or Black Label. It would be for a young audience, as a story to young adults and young people alike. That also means toning down extreme content to keep it age and friendly appropriate. Fun, emotional, and good morals for all ages. That would be something for me to look up to and relate for.
An amazing battle and trope in media. No really. Green Lantern (Tai Pham) defeated a Yellow Lantern. Who was a general. He was defeated by a young inexperienced hero by taunting Tai. When there was no chance of winning against a veteran enemy. After the Yellow Lantern taunted the young man, Tai. Moments later. Then, Tai got the upper hand and easily defeated the general Yellow Lantern. Lesson here, never taunt an opponent by saying I'm better than others. That's like arrogance than caring and understanding others feelings. Or else, the opponent gets the upper hand back. Winning isn't always a solution, sometimes it's best to retrieve and train to become powerful. You don't have to win the fight. You just have to put up a fight.

It's quite fitting that a teen boy/young man tells a much older grown man to "let Mom and Dad talk" as if stereotypically Spiderman is the oldest. The Green Goblin knocking Spiderman out freaks me out, but I sort of feel bad for him too. :`(

@@jimbeam2299 I’m 21, but as you can imagine, when that movie came out, I loved every single bit of it and was completely mindless of what was going on. Now that I’m watching it as an adult and look back on it, I saw a couple things that just plain didn’t add up.

As much I love this film, I do have a issue with this scene: For what Goblin is recruting Spider Man for? Before all he was doing was killing those who were threatning his company and he already achived this goal after killing the Oscorp board members. He has no other plan after that. I feel this scene would had work better if Goblin start to going after the board members one by one and Spider Man started to get in the way of his revenge.
He literally said it in this scene. He wanted Spider-man to join him so that he could take over the city, and then possibly the world. And GG wouldn't have anyone standing in his way.
This universe doesn't seem to have The Avengers or any other superhero, so they'd be invincible together.

At least his first actions of trying to save his company actually made sense. It understantable and creates nice contrast between him and Spider Man (a character who experiece loss and let downs while Goblin was rich and doesn't want to lose his status). He deciding suddley to wanting to over the world just feels generic.
@@alexandrefrauches132I can tell 100% you haven't watched the movie OR you just didn't listen OR maybe because English isn't your first language you didn't understand it.
But I'll still explain. GG didn't have any motivations, his mind was warped by the Goblin serum. He had lost majority of his sanity and was barely holding on to his sane self. Goblin persona had taken over his mind. He was clinically insane and so he became this way, his megalomania was out of control and he wanted to be god. Basically like Bill Gates or Elon Musk or Jeff Bezos or Suckerberg, but less megalomaniacal.
