Hi Michele! I became a fan when i watched the VLOG of Matt from Golf Sidekick. You were giving him ON-COURSE LESSONS @ TPC - KUALA LUMPUR. Very useful tips on putting here. Keep up the good work. More power to your channel.
Michelle superb lesson. Your depth understanding and videos are really impressive. I can honestly say, you teach something every video. Thank you for making the game easier and even more fun.
Thanks. This is how I try to putt. Also when I have a downhill my aiming point I look at is short of the hole, and up hill is past the hole. I’m always trying to hit a straight flat putt to my aiming point. If I can do that and select the right point... happy days. If I hit it to my point and it misses I am still happy, I was just wrong with my read and it helps me for next time. Love your videos Michelle, always helpful. 👍
Thank you so much Michele for another brilliant video:) No more missing short putts (as I often do) from now on I hope. I'm sure I can overcome those dreaded 3-4 foot putts in my next game of golf. Have a great day!
2 tricks I use (1) Stand behind the putter to align it at the target (once you have read the break), then hold it in place and walk around it to take my stance and (3) Plumb-bobbing. You have to use the right technique to plumb-bob, which includes knowing whether you have a face-balanced or toe-balanced putter.
I like your explanation of how to read the grain of the green by looking at the damaged area next to the cup. Do you have any tips on how to read the grain if the area around the cup is not damaged? Thanks.
Nice Michelle, now I know how to read the grain. Still trying to understand when golfer stand few feet in front of the hole with feet shoulder width then hold out their hand with 2 fingers and squinting their eyes looking at the hole. Maybe you know a thing or two. Thanks for this great tips.👍
Thanks for sharing, Michele. Great video. Question. You are the first person I have seen with their practice swings sideways behind the green. I have been playing around with this technique, but I was curious where this originated for you and if you think there is an advantage to using this pre-shot routine. Thanks!! Jim
Question: how do you know or decide it is one ball, two ball or so on on the break? I was hoping to see you put on the grain to see the line break tho :). Good video and tips on the grain :)
Hi, Michelle. On short (like 3 feet or closer) putts that are fast with a lot of break, do you try to hit aggressively, and take out a lot of the break? Or do you like to have the ball just die at the hole? Thanks! Awesome video!

Awesome content on the grain reading! Curious whether different type of grass would matter? Would you say the ball should always enter the opposite of the damaged cup?
Michelle thank you so much. I have watched a few videos this evening in preparation for my golf tomorrow 🙌. I have learnt so much in a short space of time.

Awesome content on the grain reading! Curious whether different type of grass would matter? Would you say the ball should always enter the opposite of the damaged cup?
Yes... some grass can cause the green to be very grainy. Not 100 percent opposite. That is just an idea where the slope is.

Why is one side of the hole damaged due to the way the grass grows?
looks like damage which actually the root of the grass. The one that not damage is the tall side of the grass.
