This noise is caused by a mis calibrated gas valve. If you have this problem you need a gas safe registered engineer please dont watch RUclips videos and start poking around inside your boiler. If your boiler is under warranty contact ideal you cant fix it yourself.
@@diytoptips I did change the burner unit for a new one, yes. Did the gas valve and entire cleaning of the heat exchanger and venturi opening and it still whistled exactly like in the video here.After taking the fan off the burner baffle plate was flexing when pressed on, so changed it out and the whistling was gone.

Yeah, that didnt work for me, sadly. The noise ended up being a loose baffle plate in the burner unit.
Was that an easy fix? Did you have to change the whole burner unit?

Is it safe to use ur heating etc untill the gas engineer comes out?
we did it was ok, tried cleaning but needed a new gas valve, gas safe engineer said its a common fault poor design but Ideal wont admit it

99 out of a hundred times, you only need to clean one of the parts.
