What a nightmare done it all still got some getting in 😅
Anyone here got your Mini key charged up this way? Please tell us it works.
Hi! Thank you for so amazing fixing Video. Do you know if was this problem solved for the models after 20xx- built year? I am looking for an Civic VIII 2011, and wanted to know about it. Thank you very much in advance!
I got a brand new one fitted today and its making that noise ??????
Honda seems to have major issues with water ingress. My own honda is in same position, Only good thing about vehicle is the engine as the clearcoat on the bodywork has disentrgrated.
How long do you leave it on charge ?
Says overnight in the title.
Thank you for this very helpful. Same problem with my Civic and I’ve gone around the perspex and glass join with silicon exterior sealant. I had to do it myself due to reluctance of garages and windscreen firm to do it. Thanks again.
Glad it helped!
Anything other than that???
Hi sorry i have this issues but I don't understand where I'm supposed to the sealant please can you help.
Run your hand down the glass rear screen from the top. As you get towards the bottom you will come across a join where the plastic cowl housing the rear brake light meets the glass rear screen. There is a rubber strip between the two parts. You want to apply sealant all along the rubber strip sealing the plastic cowl to the glass rear screen.
@@diytoptips hi thanks for the fast response really appreciate it. Sorry I'm not good with cars and repairs are expensive. Do you have an email address I was going to send you pictures just to make sure I'm applying it to the right place. Would really appreciate it
@@diytoptipshi I was able to find the section, it looks worn but no wholes or damages, what sealant would you recommend using?
@@Ssmh-ip7ut an anti mold one I got the gorilla glue sealant as nowhere near me had Tiger seal or sika flex, did you manage to sort your leak? I will try upload a video of where I am sealing my mk8 civic
Cheers
This noise is caused by a mis calibrated gas valve. If you have this problem you need a gas safe registered engineer please dont watch RUclips videos and start poking around inside your boiler. If your boiler is under warranty contact ideal you cant fix it yourself.
Yeah, that didnt work for me, sadly. The noise ended up being a loose baffle plate in the burner unit.
Was that an easy fix? Did you have to change the whole burner unit?
@@diytoptips I did change the burner unit for a new one, yes. Did the gas valve and entire cleaning of the heat exchanger and venturi opening and it still whistled exactly like in the video here. After taking the fan off the burner baffle plate was flexing when pressed on, so changed it out and the whistling was gone.
Thanks for the video, would be good to see the actual taking out and cleaning of the said parts.
My boiler has same problem
Mine was leaking in the boot also and used tiger seal under the roof strips either side, on the seams & covered the weld seams below the end of the roof strips where it goes into inside the hatch, plus did the weld seams underneath the tail lights and cured the problem completely. Did not do between the glass & perspex, so must be ok.
music is not my cup of tea but a pretty nice deviation from the regular bland dance music i geuss lol
Gas valve
It is yeah
Did you apply the silicone down deep in the gap only or let it fill up to the edge of the spoiler? Thank you.
The silicon just needs to fill the gap between the glass and the plastic spoiler, where the rubber seal is.
@@diytoptips Thank you. I’ll do this today.
Is it safe to use ur heating etc untill the gas engineer comes out?
we did it was ok, tried cleaning but needed a new gas valve, gas safe engineer said its a common fault poor design but Ideal wont admit it
99 out of a hundred times, you only need to clean one of the parts.
I needed a quick fix and did this 2 years ago. I did the welds at the top. Also did the rubbers for tailgate and silicone around the 2 light cluster bolts on both sides. Dry boot ever since😊
Excellent!
really? That would be an ace solution, ive pulled my hair out as ive had people pull off my centre garnish , brake lights in an effort to reseal and all kinds of crap! is it really just this point of fail? Cant wait to try it.
It was that simple for me!
The roof seams at the hatchback end (just below the roof rails) become porous over time and that’s the most common cause of the wet boot. Easily fixed with metal epoxy resin.
Thanks so much!
No problem. Hope it worked for you!
@@diytoptips That remains to be seen, but I'm hopeful! ;)
@@diytoptips Silly question maybe, but does this fix require the removal of all the boot trim?
You don’t need to remove anything. Just apply the sealant on the outside, mop up any water in the boot with an old towel and you should be good to go!
@@diytoptips Nice and easy!
cheers worked a treat
Glad it worked for you 👍
