What a good boy!!! So smart he knows that helps!!!! YOu comfort him with pets! he is so lucky to have found such a great mom and dad! Yumme treats make everything better.
Norwegian Forest Cats are the best, most patient souls ever. Mine, Jasper, went through chemo without any sedation- he was so patient and good, the vets had never seen anything like him. Such a beautiful boy - just like Roy and Moss ❤
I'm so sorry that Jasper had to do chemo it must have been a very difficult time. :( Moss is the same. They don't need sedation for x-rays or ultrasounds and the vets love them. Roy had to spend a few days in hospital two years ago and he was the staff favorite. Thank you! ❤
So patient and a brave furry hero, deserves all the pats and treats. I have asthma because of moving to London and I have a ventolin inhaler. I sometimes think of Roy if I get out of breath or need to stop to take a puff, because if he can do it, so can I, and admittedly he's way better than me at tolerating it all 😂Kisses to brave Roy ❤
Thank you for the compliments! ❤ I'm sorry that you have asthma too. :( I think we can all learn from our pets. I noticed that if they feel unwell like a stomach ache (hairballs), a sprained leg or Roy has an asthma flare up, they take it easy for a few hours/day. But as soon as they feel better, they return to their normal self and they become visibly happy. They forget about the pain, start running around like crazy and make happy sounds (chirping and trilling). Seeing my cats happy just because they are well made me appreciate every moment I have without illness or symptoms. 🙂
@@xxBigDazxx Try his favorite treat right before and after the drops. Hope it helps! :-) Roy needed about 2 weeks to realize that it's a good thing because he gets his favorite treats every time. 🙂
What a good boy. Luca has asthma also. How strange. But he does t use a inhaler. He just takes it easy. He naps a lot. He loves to be outside watching the birds and animals. He doesn’t hunt like he used to. He does not want to be inside during the day. Even in the rain. Snow, yes. It’s coming on Wednesday.
Darling Roy I did'nt know that you suffer from asthma. Good boy for tolerating your inhaler. You make me realise that I have a great deal to be grateful for. Please stay well little man.❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Roy, you are a wonderful cat. Although I'm certain you don't "enjoy" these asthma treatments, it is unquestionable that you understand their benefit and tolerate them exceptionally well. Your human "parents" are pretty wonderful too. Be well my friend!
Thank you! It's most probably a good deal for him because of the treats and I'm sure he can feel the benefit too😊 After the treatment he won't move until he gets his reward. Once I forgot about it for 5 minutes and he was still sitting there staring at me. I immediately knew that I messed up 😅
Ahh Poor Roy!!! I am glad he is doing well, but hate to see the pets need meds. I have been so busy the last 2 weeks I have to get caught up on your videos, I have been out of the loop!
Suddenly realizing he is not facing into the camera! "There. Now, I can get treatment, thank you." And two real treats. Is this an ongoing problem or does Roy have a respiratory cold? I don't like this change of weather, either. Bless him.
Haha 😅 Roy has Feline asthma/chronic bronchitis which is very similar to human asthma (they even use the same medication). It can't be cured but depending on the cause (seasonal allergies, irritants) the symptoms can improve/fluctuate. There are two types of medications that can help with the symptoms and they can also prevent lung damage. One of the medication needs to be taken daily (that was in the video) and the other one is for emergency situations (serious asthma attacks). Fortunately, we've never had to give him the emergency medication and he's symptom free thanks to the daily inhaler but we've never found the route cause of his asthma. There are no seasonal changes in his condition. We eliminated every possible irritants: we don't use scented air fresheners, we use dust free/unscented cat litter, we have two air purifiers in our home, etc. but when we try to lower his medication dose, his symptoms always returns.
@@RoyandMoss Poor Roy. I have a similar condition. Yes, depending on the weather, it changes the symptoms. I, too, have unscented everything. And you do have to keep things up. So many humans think they are getting better now and, of course, the symptoms come back right away. Roy is being so good. Thank you for looking at this as part of your daily life and helping him to feel well. It never shows in the videos with Moss.
Yeah, I talked to my vet about my little girl who is like a twin or a triplet. I mean to your boys, she has some issues, but I think it's because she has nasal or larynyx polyps. Um, not Asthma, but they told me it's a possibility, but I've literally not seen any kind of asthma-related attacks. I have seen some Problems when I think the polyps are like, you know, stuck in a certain way when she's sleeping and she wakes up and she's kind of gagging on them, but if I did have to give her an inhaler, she would never allow me to do it, I wouldn't know what I would do in this instance. Um I know she wouldn't let me hold her down and put something up to her face. She wouldn't be okay with it. She's more of a kind of a crazy girl. She's not real, calm and sweet. When you're trying to hold her down, you know, so I don't know if she would let me do this, I guess I'd have to see if I got to this point. You're very blessed to have a sweet boy like this.
I'm sorry that your cat has these problems. It's not easy to diagnose feline asthma but it usually starts with coughing. It similar to the sound that they make when vomiting up a hairball but eventually they don't throw up anything. That's why we took Roy to the vet at the first time. The vet usually takes x-rays, blood tests to find out the cause of the symptoms. Heart ultrasound is also common if the tests are inconclusive (heart disease can also cause coughing). Roy didn't except the inhaler right away, we had train him with lots of treats. It took about 2-3 weeks.
So I don't know if you'll see my comment, but I have a second comment or actually a question. I never get any answers back to any comments that I make on channels that I follow even if there's as little as 35 comments because I don't know why I'll see other people getting responses, but I don't but I wanted to ask a question. Do you give it to Him every day as a preventative, or only when he's having an attack.
He gets it every day to prevent asthma symptoms. He also has an emergency inhaler for asthma attacks but fortunately, he hasn't needed that one so far.
What a good boy!!! So smart he knows that helps!!!! YOu comfort him with pets! he is so lucky to have found such a great mom and dad! Yumme treats make everything better.

Bless his little heart. ❤💕🐈
