Been there several years ago. Great to see all those famous names from the British 🚛 lorry and bus 🚌 manufacturers. Puzzled as to why there should be a MAN in the British Leyland museum.
Had an early Freighter roll-on/off for six years - very strong truck but very underpowered with a 130hp Leyland naturally aspirated engine. It was plated for 16T but on skip work could often be running at 17-18 T. Gutless as it was, I loved that Leyland 402 engine - totally reliable never let me down once. Everything today is computerized - but the Leyland was a man's truck..no synchromesh gearbox, no cab suspension, no air assist clutch etc
Liked the video , Leyland fan as I am , I have grown up watching Leyland trucks and buses in India. However , the Indian manufacturers have gone somewhere wrong in the marketing strategy otherwise Leyland would have been on the top in India , they deserve to be 👍
leyland is the king .but every on is not minding it .they are only the kings forever for me.leyland is a perfect friend it will not cheat .its equal to my life for me
Once the British government forced the merger with the already troubled car manufacturer BMC that was the end of this great company. All the profits that the Leyland Motors made were pumped into BMC to keep them afloat……tragic end to a great company
The paintwork , pinstripes and signwriting on these trucks are very pleasing to the eye .

The legacy of Leyland and other British companies like Royal Enfield & Jessop will live in India for many many years to come.

An excellent video, but why is there a MAN vehicle included?
165 like nice👍👍👍👍👍👌👌👌👌👌👌
Do they have an AEC? Leyland owned them for 17 years before taking them out the back to be shot.
Sorry James, I don't know.
There was a few ACE busses at one point but they moved to another collection and think they did have one truck quite a few years ago
They have an AEC Diesel engine, sectioned and motorised to show the operation of an engine from the inside, terrific exhibit.
where is this museum?
King st, Leyland, in Lancashire
MultiAllydee i really want to visit England for leyland only particularly the place which you mentioned.
Leyland trucks in India
Engineering wise we made the strongest trucks in the world rust was out Achilles heel
1615
I cut my teeth on Leyland buses and coaches, I loved the Leopard, they were powerful, yet economical.
Now it's Volvo, Daf and Leyland are no more.
