So if you watch Larry Chen’s all access video on Shelby American you’ll be shocked to hear the vice president himself say unless a gt500 or a gt350 has a CSM number from Shelby American it’s not a real Shelby. So all those guys paid over sticker just to hear the VP say you still don’t have a real Shelby. Ford licenses the name to slap it on a high performance gt to demand more money from the buyer. Watch it from minute 22-24.
Yup that’s true that gt350 and gt500 aren’t true Shelby vehicles but more of a partnership. However as strange it sounds gt500 and gt350 hold more brand prestige and have unique engines than Shelby American vehicles as those are built on top of regular mustangs
Shelby American cars have a reputation for under performing. Possibly because they can’t do the research and development that Ford does.
Lebanon Ford Performance in Lebanon Ohio is advertising 2024 base 6 speed GT manuals with a Whipple 3 liter supercharger package for $49,995. With 3 year 36k mile drivetrain warranty. That’s what I’m considering when I pay off my 2018 later this year. I will upgrade wheels, tires, and suspension to my taste. This is if I can’t find a 2020 GT350 for a reasonable price.
The 350 and 500 are not just GTs with a kit and a badge. Basically everything but the body in white is unique to those models.

Well it’s like building a PC for gaming, you can buy all the parts and build the optimal setup or you can choose the commodity of getting it already pre built, it’s more expensive and less optimal but saves a ton of time, even better if puts you in an exclusive club, some people with spare money might need just that 😅

Shelby’s from ford are not real Shelby’s. You got it backwards. They had a deal years ago But the deal is dead. Ford found a loophole to continue to use the Shelby name. That’s why there isnt any Foxbody’s or SN95 Shelby’s. Instead they made
up the corba name. I rather have a ford Shelby instead of Shelby’s Shelby.
You are right I think what I meant to say is that us enthusiasts would prefer a Ford shelby as they are more unique (5.2l voodoo and predator engines) vs super snake (built-up 5.0s), which is what you are saying.

Hey man, i just bought a 2016 ecoboost and ive been having this weird issue. my volume buttons on my steering wheel change the source. Im gonna try the soft reset thing in your video. Its Sync 3 3.0. Hopefully the reset will fix it but let me know if you have any other ideas
I would try master reset instead. I have a video on that as well. It's pretty simple to do and should actually take care of that issue.

Its a Great Car. But you are 100% right. At that price, you are passing up a ton of Great Cars. C7 Z06, Supercharged RTR, GT350R, ZL1, GT500, Dodge Redeye, C8 Z06/ZR1/Eray... etc. And you could build the Ultimate Monster.

Hey I seen your videos in the past about the key fob for the mustang GT do you ever have the issue with your car not starting with the remote mine keep doing that and Forest says that it goes into deactivate mode if you keep pressing it
No I have not experienced it before. Is the battery good on your key fob?
@@Red5oh battery good, I changed the batteries in the fobs, took it to the Ford dealership and still no change. The dealership says it deactivate if you press it too much but all I do is let it set a few hours and it does again

I don't believe you mentioned that the Super Snake is available with a manual or automatic transmission. Is Ford going to offer a manual in future Shelbys? Just saying.
Interesting way to look at it. I believe we will definitely see a manual Shelby kind of like the last call edition on dodges. Since V8s and manual days are numbered due to regulation, I can see ford bringing back the manual transmission

Not sure how youcan say that it isn't a real Shelby when its built by Shelby? Ford borrowed the name and Shelby had no input in tht GT500/350. The cost being worth it is up the individual buyer.

Good info! I didn’t know about. I bought 24MY Dark horse love the car. People were saying that was an expensive car. Now all these Shelby’s & Bose 302 coming out are way over priced compare to the Dark Horse. lol Makes my Dark Horse looks way to cheap. lol I do love my car for the price actually not to bad compare all the others cars comparison. I just wished the Dark Horse made a convertible. I would definitely bought one even for extra money. Thanks for the info 😊
Thanks for watching! Dark Horse is a great so congrats on owning on one of the best handling 5.0 Mustangs. As long as you avoid mark ups DH isn't a bad deal. It's when they get to $70k MSRP PLUS Markups and you start losing the value.

I agree, they’re really over priced for what they are, but they are beautiful to look at. The body work is way better than anything Ford is offering right now for the S650. If I had stupid amounts of money, I’d consider buying one, just to add to my fleet of dream cars I’ll never own. 😂

Sure but it cannot make up for that much. Even if parts are $30k with all the customization, I'd say labor is $5-10k at most.

Backwards yes. But as I mentioned in the that most enthusiasts know GT500 and gt350 and they are recognized as true unique cars. This is built on top of regular GT compared to vooodoo and predator found in Gt350 and gt500 respectively that make it so unique. So yes not true Shelby vehicle as it’s partnered and using the Shelby name but any enthusiast you ask will pick GT350/GT500 over the super snake
