Fuse Pull 5&20 v8 Camaro

USE THE WHITE PLASTIC FUSE PULLER IN THE BOX, not metal like I did (I actually wasn't planning on pulling them since I already had but I just kept on rolling LOL)
Ladies, If your Camaro has run on low grade gas you need to run it out and use high octane only. I ran mine through several refills of 93 before I pulled my fuses. There is a sensor that reads low grade and adjusts the car to run with low grade BUT your V8 should only have high octane fuel! The car will not reset itself and sense the high octane so it will not run as well as it should even though it's now running with the right gas. Fix this by resetting it. The fuse pull is very simple. Don't need a man. Don't need the dealer.

When I first saw a you tube video on the fuse pull, I thought, yeah right. But I tried it last week and it does make a difference. Dealers are infamous about using cheap gas in a new car, so you would be wise to take 5 minutes to do this. Haven’t checked gas mileage yet, but it does have more punch now!

There's a white fuse puller right in that fuse box on the lower left there...in case someone doesn't have needle nose pliers.

I have a 2015 Camaro SS. I've had my car for 2 years and have been filling it with 89 octane gas. After watching this video I've decided that I should do this fuse pull as well,and start filling up with 91 octane (highest grade we have in California). Will it damage my engine or is it too late to do this fuse pull?

EJ Get all the lower grade gas out FIRST then run a tank or 2 of premium and then do the fuse pull. NO, IT WILL NOT HURT YOUR ENGINE! Chevy programed the computers to make adjustments with the low grade gas BUT they did NOT program the engine to reset back to max performance with the higher grade gas. Thus why we do the fuse pull. Do not start your beast with the fuses out. Let it sit overnight and put the fuses back in. Anytime you accidently put in low grade gas OR get bad gas OR maybe watered gas, pull the fuses and manually reset it....after the good gas is back in the tank again.

Since they're both 15 amp fuses does it matter if I put the 5 where the 20 fuse was and vice versa?

No Legz well from what I've read, the computer automatically adjust to the lower grade gasoline, but it doesn't go back to the high grade response times when you start putting 91+ octane which why this is necessary, it resets it back to high grade. If you bought it used then the answer is yes

I see the tower brace on your car. is it a 1LE? I have a 2013 SS/1LE. I "had to" put some 89 oct in it. once. :( do u notice a difference??? when you did the fuse pull??I bought mine new and the dealership put a full tank part of the purchase.....so after watching your video I'm kina thinkn of doing the fuse pull, but I'm nervous of doing it cause it messing up the warranty. thanks

No, it does not set off a code. Oh my goodness yes I felt difference. I do not know why Chevy didn't just program them to sense the better gas and switch back. Glad I know and only premium goes in it now for sure.
