    Glocks, don't need new barrels...waste of money...keep it stock.. Reliability is why you buy Glocks...Why mess with that..Spend the money on ammo, and training..

    • @Fergtactical
      @Fergtactical 11 дней назад +4

      I agree with you. The Only justification for an aftermarket I can see is if you want to throw on a comp or a suppressor, and or needing a full supported chamber to run hot loads. Also if you buy one as a range toy just to modify for fun and change the look. Otherwise there is no real functional purpose to swap barrels, and you start to move away from the reliability of stock glock parts.

    I’d say the main reason to change your barrel is to upgrade to a threaded barrel. Other than that, there’s no utility in swapping the barrel.

    The only handloads that would detonate a Glock are ones that weren’t made following reputable reloading data. As someone who reloads literally everything except 22, I know for a fact my handloads (even in pistols) will outshoot factory ammo in consistency, accuracy, and reliability any day of the week. For what it’s worth, I’m also an R&D engineer too…so being methodical in testing is common practice.

    For me, the only reasons I would change the barrel is to get something else. I would go to a threaded barrel if I wanted a muzzle device, but I'd look for OEM first. The other reason would be fir caliber conversions.

    SPN firearms please give me some advice I need help! I'm a long time subscriber and fan of the builds. Your video's inspired me to purchase a G27 gen 3 last month as my first Glock. I have fired 160 rounds through her and i believe the rear of the slide is now too loose (up & down) causing the shark fin to not fully engage the firing pin safety! When the trigger is depressed the striker assembly barely moves in the channel or gets stuck but if im slightly holding down on the rear of the slide and shake the gun it moves freely like normal! How can I fix this issue? I can't afford to taking it to a gunsmith!

      @@joshualittlejohn7915 Every firearm has a unique "ballistic fingerprint". This means that spent bullets and casings can be matched to the firearm it was fired from. Thus, changing the barrel will also change the bullet ballistics. The casing however, can still be matched unless you switch out the other components, such as the firing pin, ejector, extractor and sometimes even the whole slide. I recommend reading "Handbook of Firearms and Ballistics: Examining and Interpreting Forensic Evidence" by Brain J. Heard. Its an amazing book that goes into the forensic detail for all types of firearms
