The cold email that you have shared is too long and I have learned that the cold email should be not more than 300 words. I am confused if the cold email template that you have shared is the same as the motivation letter?. Best regards
The cold email I shared has been used by several people and won them offers. How do you capture your introduction, hands on experience, reason for grad school and research interest of your prospective group in 300 words? Cold email is an abridged version of your SOP. Yes, your SOP is same as motivation letter.
Remember, yours does not have to be that long. I think Dr Igbalajobi's format is specific to his experience over the years. Focus on your skills/expertise and experience and you might end up with a shorter version.

The best approach is to search for Professors in your field and write them. There are other scholarships captured in a video on my channel as well.
