Elite244 I have gone to university and taken philosophy and the prof wasn't remotely as good as Dr. Pedersen. The fact is that Dr. Pedersen has risen to the pinnacle of prominence in this field is an indication of his high level of competence. It is a meritocracy of competence in the world and in acedemia; where the best rise to the top. Since Dr. Pedersen has risen to the top and not any other professor of philosophy, it is clear and plain logic; that Dr. Petersen is the best or among the best in his field in order to rise to the top of that field in what is a meritocracy. Therefore, your unwarranted criticism and denigration of Dr. Petersen; when compared to others in his field, is without merit.
Northstar 17 Good comparison, just like Michael Jordan was the best when he played...Jordan Pedersen is the best at what he does. This is clearly true, as shown by the fact that they have both risen to the top, in what is a hierarchy of meritocracy.
In the majority of the video's I've watched nearly everyone is paying attention and all computers aren't on instagram/reddit/whatever. That's how you know he's a good teacher. Or the university has a super anal internet filter, either one.
If he wasn't a good teacher, would he sell out places as he does? I have seen him live and the audience listened in rapt silence for 2 hours. This answers the question on whether he is an excellent teacher or not.
"The answer to the problem of humanity is the integrity of the individual." In other words, quit worrying about what other people are doing and worry about what YOU are doing.
I'm a single parent of a two-year-old just starting a commitment to my personal and career growth and I'm willing to go 180-degree turn for it. You, sir, are saving my life one lecture at a time.
BRILLIANT and encouraging. I love this man. Dr Peterson, you always say 90 something % of your viewers/ fans are men. I’m very much a woman and I think I’ve watched every one of your RUclips videos and I’ve learned so much from your wisdom and insight. Thank you!
Honestly the man really does think about a lot of stuff and tries to dissect them so he can figure out why it is the way that it is or why people react the way they do to problems. I learned to really think like this a bit back in high school on my own by accident in a period that was hard on me and during college when I had one math professor who honestly is one of the best teachers I had. He always showed us why certain math formulas make sense and didn't just give us the formula and say, "okay to calculate this, use this formula". In elementary and high school, it was usually that way for us but in college it just made knowing what to do even easier. He would literally just go in detail with us about why solving and using certain equations this way made sense and he would even do it the reverse way so we would see how the numbers always add up since math is just very fluid that way and that is one reason he loves the subject.
Omg I cannot believe I was just able to listen to that free thinking speach for free on my phone in my tent away camping at a time in my life where I’m pulling myself apart and trying to leave the dead wood behind and rebuilding myself into my truest self. I am blessed. Thank you Dr Peterson and the inventors of every bit of technology that just made that possible.
"the power of the spoken word is now more powerful than the written word" ...As pointed out by Professor Peterson in his interview with Joe Rogan and here is a perfect example. We are living in a time of worldwide transformation. Technology has made it easy to capture a live lecture in front of a tiny audience and beam it across the world to billions of people resulting in a change of life trajectories. I need so much improvement it has nearly killed me just to look at it all after hitting rock bottom. The undeniably profound yet reasonable wisdom Peterson has pursued not only to attain but feed back to us in earnest diligence has affected my frame of thought and offered me for the first time in my entire life; hope for a meaning and solution to my own unbearable suffering. I would have never come up with this stuff on my own, and that is the gift. THANK YOU PROFESSOR PETERSON. My kids will be learning from you, too.
That was so beautiful to hear you say about this. Such an awesome thank you from a deep part of you...wow! You are truly blessed with your gift now. ♥️♥️♥️♥️😊
I love this break down, it’s one of the reasons I got a dog while being depressed, because taking on more responsibility forces you to get out and explore life a little more, knowing that your life affects another and something relies on you :)

It gives you something to look forward, something to better yourself for. Be careful for and caring for someone is a great honor and something so beautiful in life.
My dog has saved my life over and over. There have been so many times I was depressed and the only thing keeping me from going to a suicidal place was the idea that I had to be there for my dog. But I am very afraid of how I am going to feel and what I am going to do when he inevitably passes.

Watch his interview with Cathy Newman. See how she constantly tries to frame his views as being other than what they are, so that she can pretend to criticize him by criticizing a blatant strawman. It's a thing to observe. It's like she only hears every other word he says. Mainstream media coverage of the aftermath of that interview only talks about how Cathy Newman was "threatened" on social media, with the implication that Peterson and/or his followers are somehow innately toxic; completely ignoring the fact that the backlash was due to how obtuse and confrontational she was in the interview, and how she made no attempt at actual understanding of his positions. Also check out his interview on Vice. It was a similar situation of misrepresentation. ruclips.net/video/blTglME9rvQ/видео.html

Some of them might be well-intentioned but delusional, or ignorant, or some may have been fed fake news, etc. Hatred is not the answer. Love is. Be more elocuent and control your temper impecably. Learn how to debate, exchange ideas without the intent of defeating your "opponent", but rather humbly show them a better way. All of this is easier said than done, but I think they make sense..

Everybody should hear it...kids in this clasroom are blessed...what a teacher!..what a message!, stuff like that it's truly priceless.
"The answer to the problem of humanity is the integrity of the individual." In other words, quit worrying about what other people are doing and worry about what YOU are doing.

BRILLIANT and encouraging. I love this man. Dr Peterson, you always say 90 something % of your viewers/ fans are men. I’m very much a woman and I think I’ve watched every one of your RUclips videos and I’ve learned so much from your wisdom and insight. Thank you!
He is genius I wish more ppl thought the way he does
Yayyy

I have no idea when I started watching JBP, but I'm going to guess at least 4 years ago and also seen most of his lectures.
He would literally just go in detail with us about why solving and using certain equations this way made sense and he would even do it the reverse way so we would see how the numbers always add up since math is just very fluid that way and that is one reason he loves the subject.
this lecture is so deep the class is silent. i wonder if they realize the blessings they receive in his class, i sure do.
This whole speech should be written down and given to every individual
Thank you for sharing

Im a psychology student on my freshman year and JP is my hero
How’s it going?
Pretty good, senior year now
@@MrBlitzpunk Wish you the best
I'm a sophomore psych student, any tips for the practice?
Omg I cannot believe I was just able to listen to that free thinking speach for free on my phone in my tent away camping at a time in my life where I’m pulling myself apart and trying to leave the dead wood behind and rebuilding myself into my truest self. I am blessed.
Thank you Dr Peterson and the inventors of every bit of technology that just made that possible.
"the power of the spoken word is now more powerful than the written word"
...As pointed out by Professor Peterson in his interview with Joe Rogan and here is a perfect example.
Well said brother. Sending good vibes your way.
Woow
Jesse Medina all kudos to you pulling yourself up by your bootstraps is a helluva hurdle. Thanks for sharing your journey.
That was so beautiful to hear you say about this. Such an awesome thank you from a deep part of you...wow! You are truly blessed with your gift now. ♥️♥️♥️♥️😊
I love his phase: What the hell do you know?

Jordan. You are such a genius . You make me cry. Keep trying. I love freedom fighters. God speed
I love this break down, it’s one of the reasons I got a dog while being depressed, because taking on more responsibility forces you to get out and explore life a little more, knowing that your life affects another and something relies on you :)
Yes, I truly believe that having that responsibility of caring for something or someone else especially because you care and love them makes you want to be better.
Jp would be proud of this post comment
This man is a realistic genius he has a wonderful and engaging attitude towards education

What a great teacher. His students are blessed.

Hard to see this as a Psychology class and not a Philosophy class. All he says is very philosophical, yet connects back to Psychology. He is on point and wish I had him for Psychology I at my college.
@@Mister_Soyuz_on_YT When you listen to JP you're just taking a knowledge class.
He is one of the few that is telling you the truth about life!
Jordan Peterson’s words save lives. His decades of ingenious thinking and working things out have allowed him to become the most inspirational speaker I have encountered to date. Well done Mr Peterson, your hard work and dedication has paid off in more ways than even you can fathom. Peace and respect. ✌️ ✊
Get up, stand up!
Stand up for your Responsibilities!
"Reduce responsibility to what you CAN bear..." I will work on that, since I was kinda flattened by the responsibility I had dropped on me.
I don't know your situatuon but instead of lessening the load maybe Try to focus on a different responsibility perhaps. Somthing that your naturally attuned to. Somthing that you care about and love or are pasionate about. The load of responsibility feels much lighter when it's what drives you.
That part really hit me in my core. And you can apply that to every area of your life.

Love Jordan Peterson! A breath of fresh air!
Dr. Peterson is one of those people whose words ring so true you feel like you know him deeply in person even if you've only listened to a single online lecture of his. He tells you the truth- no matter how daunting it may be- but he does it in a empathetic, non-judgmental way.
God bless you, Jordan Peterson, for spreading the word of truth and for standing by it!
I've watched countless hours of JBP's videos and lectures. And 6:30 still gave me chills.
Brilliant! I loved when he said ¨That what you should have been taught at university right from the beginning... aim at the highest good... ¨ at 11:53
“Responsibility is something weird to sell to people.”
Facts JP
Pure Brilliance due to its purity and brilliance weaved together in articulate nobility.
wow I wish I had a university lecturer like him when I was younger just mind blowing stuff
"The answer to the problem of humanity is the integrity of the individual" agreed👌
I can’t imagine how amazing it would be to have this man in a lecture and learning from him. I don’t know how if these students know how lucky they are.
The last maps of meaning lecture is one of the most profound things I've ever listened to
I started donating blood (and now plasma and platelets) regularly thanks to JBP. Its a great feeling.
I know it's been over a year, but that's awesome. It makes me want to do the same.
A brilliant teacher, goes straight for the jugular of life. Straightforward and correct. Life is a miracle in motion all the time and it is our individual responsibility to choose an attitude of questioning our personal behaviours for the best outcome for all of us. Thank you Dr. Peterson!
This was the most intellectual way to tell people to just "be good to the world". Magnificent. And it came from his heart.
Wise man.
Thank God for Jordan Peterson.
I dont know what I would do without mister Peterson...Thank you really...
This is always a favorite and it never gets old, and I have not grown tired of this very important foundational idea. I’m going to start every 2019 summer day with this moving authentic premise.
How fortunate are these students to hear such a man speak. I appreciate at least being able to listen to your videos Jordan. Thank you
This snippet has the power and wisdom to cause a psychic shift that permanently changes many peoples lives. Giving people meaning or the promise of meaning is everything and I wish every single man on earth was like him!
Just the first four minutes of this changed my life
Ive heard JP articulate this many times in a few different ways and I think this is one of the accessible and concise ways he's packaged this idea. Good stuff.
Have you tried implementing this idea?
This is one of the best clips. I thought I saw all of his lectures... I must've missed the end. Damn good.
I’ve had so many teachers jn my life, yet none of them ever spoke words of wisdom like this. If only one teacher would have told me this when I was a struggling adolescent it would have given me so much clarity and motivation to spend a bit more time on my homework. His students are so lucky to have him as their teacher.
Thank god this was recorded, what a teacher
This is seriously the most motivating and hope-inspiring video I’ve ever seen. Been watching it any time I need a reminder of the big picture and grounding. 🙏🏻
I regard this man the greatest scholar of our time.
As good as it gets...thank you, my brother!
Wow. I like how he makes the crowd respect him.
I never seen or heard anyone who can dissect thoughts like him ever.
Jordon Peterson is an amazing Man..Ty Sir
What a blessing to have him as your professor!
Jordan is the best teacher, that I have ever had! He is the best for all of us!
He's got this absolutely correct.
This is so crazy it feels like my dad has figured out life, he always says “I’m going to be a good person no matter what” “it’s about who you are going to be” he lives by phrases like “a job worth doing is worth doing well” and he does his best at work everyday and is such an honest person. He is naturally very smart too math comes easy to him he always says he has photographic memory. I feel like he is such a rare human lmao
It sounds like you have a great role model right at home. Make him proud!
But remember also, J.P says himself, doing something 'badly' at first and making mistakes still beats the hell out of doing nothing 😉. Your Dad sounds ace!
Thank you for teaching me that living in this world can be so damn hard. It has honestly started to make me become more compassionate of myself and also of others. 😊 Thank you so much Jordan Peterson, you really are constantly changing lives, including mine.
Everyone on the planet needs to hear this. Thank you Dr. Peterson, I’m forever grateful for you. 🙏🏻❤️
Jordan Peterson is a gift for humanity. Truly a blessed man! Thanks for this lectures!!
i could comment this under every single lecture i see from him. He is the most important person/thing i have ever come across in my life. I genuinely can't even begin to fathom in what ways this person has influenced my future.
I can only speak for myself but I feel very empowered after watching this... and kind of excited too
This man..This man!!! The depth of his knowledge and the way he executes it, his unselfishly teaching. I literally listen to him at work, home and in my car on max volume because it that deep to me. It’s therapy&knowledge.
"the solution emerges from the problem itself."
Every sentence this guy drops is pure wisdom.
OMG, this is the best of Jordan Peterson condensed in 12 minutes. Only 1.2 million views?
I think I've watched this about 100 times

The point is, is that there are some games you don't get to play unless You're ALL IN...& the other thing that's so interesting about being ALIVE is that YOU'RE ALL IN -no matter what you do ~You're All In ~THIS IS GOING TO KILL YOU...so I think you might as well play the most magnificent game you can while you're waiting"

...then his words on Mother & Child ...& Hero...he's just Classic (Authentic & Raw but refined!) JP in this clip!!!
So Precious!!! He cares so much!
Those students (& all of us) are blessed just to witness such honesty
This has to be my favorite Jordan Peterson lecture... it’s the best articulated case for responsibility I’ve ever heard.
Maybe the best message I have ever heard...
I've said this again and again- Jordan Peterson u are a Prophet. Stand firm in the Tempest
I had goosebumps the moment the students started clapping at the end of the lecture! This man is a gift from god
Thank you Jordan Peterson
An avalanche of wisdom. Forget the spoon, take a shovel - no, take a bulldozer and just keep on raking it all up.
Omg. I love Jordan Peterson. He is a highly intellectual and intelligent person to walk among us here on earth. Sharing his wisdom
and knowledge.
J.P. Has changed my life for the better.
I also came to the same conclusion some time ago that the meaning of Life is Life itself, or the living in it. That has held me steady in my bad times.
The more I listen to Jordan Peterson, the more I deeply resent those SJW nitwits who willfully misrepresent him.
Starbat I’m new to his work, can you show me an example of an SJW misrepresenting him that you think fits? I’ve had SJWs as friends in the past, and I’m looking to hit some of their ideals with the biggest hammer I can find, alongside as all other information/perspective I come across.

One of my profs of my university from women studies called him an transphobic right-wing incel jbtw.
A prof of "women's studies" WOULD say that....
Don't resent. Resentment is never good my friend. I don't mean to preach here, but I think love really is the answer. Don't love them if you can't, but at least have a place for a little mercy in your heart. Some of them might be well-intentioned but delusional, or ignorant, or some may have been fed fake news, etc. Hatred is not the answer. Love is.
I think I understand where you're coming from but I'd try to do this if you really cared for this subject: Be a good example. Make yourself the best you can be. Be more elocuent and control your temper impecably. Learn how to debate, exchange ideas without the intent of defeating your "opponent", but rather humbly show them a better way. All of this is easier said than done, but I think they make sense..
You can choose between bordom or suffering in life.
Spoken by a greater mind than mine.
Jordan Peterson is the philosophical Titan of our times. Powerful stuff. Excellent video.
excellent message , THANK YOU.
Love all your teachings, you speak such wise words that generations right now need to hear.
This video has helped me so so much and I can't thank Jordan Peterson enough.
How has the video helped you?
I stopped procrastinating to the point where I neglected my hygiene and I do my jobs earlier than everyone around me. Thanks jordan, he motivates me to improve myself. He's an inspiration. I don't like those who try to glorify jordan's every word because that's not the point. The point is to better yourself each day and no one in this generation has said it so eloquiently as he did.
Dr. Peterson is a gem. Thank you!
I love the way his mind works ! What a perspective!
I don’t even know what to say. Amazing!
Wow... to be a student in his class nuat have been incredible! Im glad we have his videos on RUclips
Even hearing his voice motivates the living shit out of me. Words can‘t express the gratitude and the respect I have for this wonderful man
If I was asked if there’s one video on YT to watch - I would point them this way
Watching these videos is as compelling and educational as being in that lecture hall with Dr. Peterson.
I love you JBP, you were are father to me when my real one wasn't around and still continue to pawe a solid good way for me since you appeared.
Years ago, there could be possible no one i could consider a real teacher. Dissapointment on myself and on humanity was overwhelming. I found this "Petersonwave" in the Internet, so it was hard to trust in the content of his lectures. I tested his rules. My nihilist self is getting weaker every day, still it await to emerge just in case discipline wores off. Battle is daily, that's a thing no one should ever forget.
Marcos Carrizales Success is not for sale, it’s for rent. And the rent is due EVERY DAMNED DAY. Get after it, my friend. It’s worth it.
Im the same way. Through Jordan I realised ive been bitter and nihilistic my whole damned life. When I can keep JPs lessons in mind I make much better choices.
Always a pleasure to listen to this man.
