The A to Z got me stitching 20 years ago. Still love the books and a great resource. ❤
Thank you, I am also ready for a new project. I don’t like the one I am doing now and have been thinking of abandoning it. I have seen a couple of other ladies do an alphabet series and I like the idea. Got to make pages and gather supplies. 😃
I'm so glad you are inspired to join in. No project is abandoned - just 'rested' until you find the fun again. Some of my favourite things are projects that took years because of a long pause in the middle. 🤗
So glad you are re visiting the ABC of stitches. You explain things so well and your videos are easy to follow. Thanks for doing them. Looking forward to more. Xxx
Thanks so much. I'm glad I'm back to it too! I've so missed this project. Glad you like it. 🤗
Heel erg mooi… en dank je voor delen🥰
I’ve never seen the Armenian one. I like that.
I really love it. It's so great for edges, but I know that you will find a cute way to use it. 😊
Got started on the A-Z project this week. Your tip to start with a piece of fabric to set a color scheme was very helpful to get me started. Yay.
So glad. It's been a game changer for me with colour. I find myself using combinations I would never have thought of. Thanks for watching. 🤗
Hooray, I am ready for a new project and this is it!
That's great to hear. It's a great one to have ticking along in the background. Have fun with it. 🤗
Oh, I am excited that you are working on this book again. I remember when you were working on it in the past. I am going to participated but first I will watch the video about setting up the page. Excited!
You must have been here a good long while then! Thanks for sticking around. I am really glad to be working on it again. It was a favourite project at the time and I've missed it. I'm even more delighted that you are going to join in. I'm looking forward to seeing what everyone creates. 🤗
Love the idea about the stitch journal
Thanks so much. I hope you give it a try. 😊
Love this idea. Can’t wait to buy the book.
Best investment ever! 😉
I've learned a lot. Thanks for sharing ❤👍from Somerset
My pleasure. I am glad it was helpful. 😊
Really enjoyed this, thank you!
Really glad you liked it. 😊
I sew both hand embroidery and wool appliqué, I’ve never made a book. This is very informative. I’ve been quite limited as to the stitches I use and have not used most of the stitches you showed. Thank you for your time and sharing this video. Definitely going to check out the books too.
Thanks for watching. I love learning new stitches.
Really enjoyed this video, thank you Rebecca. Quite new to your channel and I want to try everything!!!!
Welcome! I am thrilled to hear that you are finding some inspiration here. That's what Featherstitch House is all about. Thanks for watching. 🤗
Most informative with expert advice. Where may I find your tutorials for the other stitches.?.
Thanks so much. This is the first video in the series. I haven't made the others yet for RUclips. You can find them on my Instagram profile in the highlights. There's a little circle for each letter from A-K.
You refer to a Playlist at 5:23min in video on how to put the book together, I cannot find it. Kindly post the link to this comment thanks you in Advance

Hi what size needle do you use please ?
I use a size 7 John James embroidery needle. I prefer a large needle. I do tend to stitch with whatever is nearest though! If it's sharp and I can thread it, it will do for me. If I am using machine thread, I use a sharps needle so that the thread doesn't come out all the time. If I am making knotted stitches, I use a straw needle. I have no needle discipline though. I'm very casual about it. Hope that helps. 🙂
Are your squares 6x6 or bigger??
Lolol nevermind…..
😂
They start out 8x8 and end up 6x6. I like having room to work and it keeps the block safe from fraying and shrinkage as I stitch. 😊
Disappointed, what design name is a, b,c, etc. It's not what you're doing. Don't care for what fabrics, items you're using. It's the stitch.
It's stitches that start with A. The tutorials are after the introduction that explains the series. It's all in the description.
