Every single new incantation and new sorcery for elden ring shadow of the erdtree DLC! All new dlc sorceries will be shown at the start and all new dlc incantations will be shown towards the end! There are a ton of incantations and only a few new spells from what I could find so please let me know if i missed any! In addition I will also show all 3 new sacred seals and all 3 new glintstone staffs.

edit: when i said we never had a hybrid staff/sacred chime i meant specifically in elden ring we have never had one.

Sorceries have been screwed from the jump of Elden Ring . There are way more unique incantations than sorceries even before SotE. I mean like 8 sorceries are the exact same thing with a slightly bigger or darker blue projectile.
Faith is about showmanship. Int just kills things fast.
i think the real problem is the sound design of sorceries. most of them use the same few "shing" sound effects, while incantations get unique sfx not just per faction, but per spell as well. they sound a lot more imposing than sorceries, even if sorceries are oft the better option for dealing damage.
@@blanketray6050because incantations are closer to the golden grace than sorceries, magic in itself is its own thing with its own alignment to the celestials whereas incantations is a splinter from the madness tree which is still finger based/greater will aligned magic

Man, Briar Armor + Electrocharge + Mantle of Thorns + Fire Deadly Sin, this can be a good build with light roll (if they stack after all)
U can only have 1 body buff at a time in Elden ring
Electrocharge is probably the best of those, since you don't have to roll into anything, and there is no self damage...

My int faith build is about to go crazy. Kinda wish they made it seal instead of a staff
That staff that let's you use incantation and sorcery is so damn good. I always hated doing dual and have trouble remembering which button to click to cast the spell/incantation.
You seem to be missing the Putrescent Vortex
>No Blackflame/Destined Death stuff
>One ghostflame thing
>No ice lightning
From is the king of introducing interesting fun things and then never using them for anything. Can't wait for Elden Convergence to fill the gaps once again.
What we got seems interesting enough but still. I'm trying not to complain because the DLC is awesome I just think it's ridiculous that From constantly blue balls all their fun ideas.
I think they definitely prioritised creating something fresh instead of bolstering what they originally had. The only previous groups that got some decent love was Gravity and Crucible.
Can’t play until September when I’m less swamped with work/school, so seeing these spells/incants definitely motivate me😭

I was hoping they would add much more sorceries, including those of already existing schools

I replayed the game this week for the dlc and did the frenzied flame ending cause I didn’t do that one yet, and this new frenzy incantation goes so hard can’t wait to get it, also so happy that they made a cooler incantation cause they didn’t really give them much love in the base game

Actually, we *did* have a staff/chime hybrid before, and one that was a decent mid shield on top.
Sanctum Shield and the Black Witches Staff, just like the weapon catalyst, some of the many things Dark Souls 2 actually did right.

The topic looks like purely Dark Souls to me, at no point did you ever say "Not in Elden Ring"
@@Furiora yes i understand i worded it poorly but those were two separate statements. I am playing Elden Ring showing off a hybrid staff/seal while referencing to anyone else thats played darksouls that weve never had any one of these before because clearly only dark souls players would know what im talking about
20:39 So the thing about that static charge spell is that if you’re in a melee fight you will be compounding that damage with your hand to hand.. I think you’d find that when you’re already dealing damage, having this at the same time would probably help get that health bar down pretty quick! Especially in water or against enemies weak to it
Demon's Souls had talisman of the beast, which was a dual catylist. DS2 had a staff that could cast sorceries and miracles, the black witch staff. DS3 had the crystal chime, which could cast sorceries and miracles, and the witch's hair talisman which could cast miracles and pyromancies.
Glintstone nail (singular) is pretty great as a general use spell. It's got insanely good tracking, so it can hit things that walk behind objects as well as bugs or other enemies that have really evasive behavior. It outranges night comet by a meaningful bit, and you can cast it twice before the first hit lands so the enemy gets hit twice before responding.
Man I can’t wait to get that golden arc incantation. The aoe on that plus the speed? Awesome

Haven’t played the DLC yet but I’ve seen 2 different versions of Rellana’s twin moon, this version and the less flashy and slower version. Is that because of a mod? And if not how do I get the flashier version of rellana’s twin move??
You can jump with the ghostflame dragon spell, though ive seen with with the air dragon spells in general have been a bit buggy and wont let you jump and activate it sometimes
The macrocosm spell has yellow tinge to it like the death blight clouds. Wonder if it inflicts death blight.

where do you get the staff of the great beyond?
I could see some fun with the teleport and the melee spells just set it to first slot so you could hold up or what ever the button is on pc. And that rapier thats like the catalyst from souls.

How do you see the sorcery scaling on the sword? Doesn’t show it on the stats

the twin moon one is not as bad as you think, when the moons have "set" (like how the other two moon spells do), they will still slam down no matter what - it's only the third hit you get whacked out of
Dark Souls 3 had a hybrid casting tool: the crystal chime. It was pretty good in PvP too.

I am doing mage build but I am thinking of switching over I have done bleed mage moon sword strength dex so A lot of builds and I want to check out new weapons AT the same time tho I just love the moonsword

I am loving the lightning incants.... with that stuff I'm deffinity going to be making my ds 1 Arch mage again aswell as my thor build and my spellblade build so many new goody's!! I do with faith got a hybrid weapon too like maybe a hammer or axe wink wink lol.

I know theres at least one more putrid sorcery (the one that builds frostbite) but im not sure if you missed anything else. Here's hoping theres more cold/snow witch spells 😭
Can Miriams vanishing phase through enemies? If so then it might be really good for trapping enemies into moves that you can just blink through for a punish.
Edit: Seems like it can! Should be fun for an aggressive spellblade.
Staff of the great beyond - effin finally! I have no clue why it wasn't in the base game, universal catalyst was a thing even back in demon souls. It is so annoying having to swap between sorcery / incantation catalyst when you can do both.
2:40 actually both ds2 and ds3 had a hybrid catalyst. Black Witch staff in 2 and crystal chime in 3.
Edit: I just remembered ds2 to also had the Sanctum shield which is a hybrid catalyst AND a shield, and ds3 also had a unique (albeit bad) catalyst for pyromancies and miracles.
For anyone that started with Elden ring. Miracles are the Dark Souls version of Incantations. The devs just dropped pyromancy as a separate school and fused it with miracles.
And don't forget the very short lived "Hexes" catagory. Sure they needed more balancing but I actually really enjoyed the flavour of them.
@@Furiora hexes were more like a subcategory of sorceries and miracles rather than a proper school of magic. Even in ds2

In Shadow Keep from the Storehouse, Seventh Floor site of grace, cross the center of the storeroom after pulling the lever to rotate the center beams. Once outside, carefully walk off the ledge (you'll see a bat below). You'll find the spell on a corpse.
Are you sure mass of putrescence builds up frostbite? I think it just does ghostflame damage

How far in is the knight's lightning spear? That is absolutely the incantation that I am the most excited for and I want to temper my expectations.
You can get it in like 2 hours of playtime, there's a boss in between tho, so the time varies I guess
What spirit summons have been found so far?
Think the jump thing is a bug. Locks you out of casting during a jump on jump ok incantations. Maybe if you get hit out of the first cast
