I don't think there has ever been a duo so locked in with each other in all of the history of music, as Sean and Sean were with each other. It's a mind blowing thing to witness. Neither of them makes a single move without the other.

I don't understand how it could be so difficult to get a full lineup for this band. And that shit between Reinert and the band is really a downer. I hope things get figured out. If not, I'll just have to look forward to Malone and Paul's future projects. It's just a terrible shame we may never be able to see these great musicians making stuff together again.

just learned about this whole thing. was not much of a fan of their recent releases, but still feel very upset. we've waited for years and years after their first break up, and it's very sad to see things fall apart like this now.

Although this is the best sounding Cynic I've ever heard (great mix), it's kind of hard to watch this knowing they probably already had a lot of issue's going on at that point. You can read it from their faces... Or maybe that's just because I know they'd break up. It just makes me sad, I wish they'd record more albums together, this trio is just so amazing.
Anyway, thanks ALOT for this upload, love it. Kinda strange with the backing tracks, but hey, it's their music, and it sounds really tight. (although Paul sometimes kinda fucks it up, also with his sound, probably has something to do with effects changing on click track and getting used to that). But it's always worth watching and listening to an hour of Sean Malone playing... :O

Do you know of a program that can switch effects to a click? My band uses a click track live and it would be dope to have a sequence

I disagree about animosity in this show. @47:54 they are all together locked in. They may have had issues for sure that played out but on stage they were present and open.

@jonny j Explain how you can assess that from my comment. "You can read it from their faces... Or maybe that's just because I know they'd break up". Even the guy that posted that comment is aware that his bias and awareness of their history are altering their perception of this performance. Nobody, literally, but those 3 guys knows the feelings they had for each other good or bad. Soooo yeah.

One can't make assumptions about how they were doing emotionally by watching - the music they were playing was complex, both technically and structurally, demanding of the player, and lengthy. The kind of thing that you had to be focusing with 100% concentration or the thing would go off the rails pretty quickly especially when playing with sync'locked vocals and/or keyboard/rhythm guitar parts so timing had to be right on too. This video shows how impressive they were live. I suspect like a lot of bands who are genre spearheaders they didn't make a lot of money sadly. It seems just as they were starting to take off towards the mainstream prog metal scene something happened and they disintegrated.
