Would you suggest Ibanez SRH505F for metal? It looks very much like your bass except it only has piezo. Does hollow body create a problem when you are playing in a band?
I sold this bass like around this time in last year. I don't know much about SRH505F. But from my experience the bass at the video lacked some 'strength' in its sound, and was also always buried in the mix if not the volume was set too high. Especially in 'metal' context. I don't know why. Might be flatwounds, might be the pickup, or something else. Maybe the hollow body construction. SRH505F might have a similar problem. Just my opinion though. p.s. The shape of this hollow body bass also created a minor problem. The edge kept pressing down on my chest because it did not have any contours, it was too angled. I just searched about SRH505F and from its looks it seems to be in the same category.
