It seems like the more flowing backroads are less exciting on video - which may include 215 for parts of it. Such an amazing stretch. The section above the small bridge up high is amazing - sharp and steep climbing turns! An excellent road.
@@trueview3127 agreed. It’s hard to capture the sense of speed on the faster flowing sections. The tight twisty stuff with quick direction changes ‘looks’ quicker.
Believe it or not, we initially posted several shorts. After a year or so, we realized that the shorts were taking away from our long form content as far as the algorithm was concerned. Maybe we could try a short or two again, to see what happens.
Fun video as always. I feel like I’m in my GTS. So unfortunate that after Helene large swaths of this road are washed out and closed. In fact the whole Pisgah Forest is still closed. I’m hoping the road and Forest are open by Spring.
@@trueview3127 That’s good news! Though it starts getting a little cool for summer tires in November. But I’ll keep an eye out for an Indian Summer. And end of March for sure
Liking the focus on the North Face ascent in this one! One of the best drives on the East Coast in my opinion!
Man I love 215, especially climbing up to the BRP. Great mix of corners and some parts that let you stretch the legs a bit.

As you saw on the Stephenson Basin video - when the guard rail is inches away - it looks really fast!
One of my favorites!
Ours Too!
And the long format videos are great. You may want to make some shorts too.

Agreed - and good to point this out. Google maps is showing the repairs to 215 will be done by 10/31/24. So much work to do.

was this post Helene or pre? Wonder if the road is open again.
This was pre - the road is currently closed. Slated to open on 10/31 but that is tentative.
