Great tips. I’m going to use the baskets from my countertop airfryer till I can buy the rack. Great pt about the broiler pans. We’re getting rid of our old stove and I was going to toss that out. Ill be sure to keep it.
I"ve used mine five times now... frozen beer battered shrimp, frozen coconut crusted shrimp, frozen chicken tenders, frozen waffle fries, frozen crab rangoon, marinaded steak tips, and homemade zucchini fries... not on the same night, of course. Five different meals. All five attempts filled the tray completely. I bought the air fryer rack from Amazon. I put a foil-lined baking sheet on the rack below to catch crumbs and drippings. While there was smoke, we ran the hood fan, which kept it under control and didn't allow it to smoke up the whole house. I haven't made anything like wings, or fried chicken, or pork chops yet. Those might splatter more. I followed the air fryer directions on the packages that had them and experimented with the zucchini fries and steak tips. Everything tasted wonderful, cooked quickly and evenly, and most importantly, didn't splatter everywhere. I sprayed everything with a light coat of olive oil before putting them in. Nothing was really wet and there wasn't much dripping, except for the steak tips. Any crumbs that made it past the bottom tray were wiped up as soon as possible so they wouldn't burn to the bottom and a couple of drips that made it to the bottom of the stove were cleaned up easily. I'm still reserving judgment until I make more splatter-potential food, to see if I have the same mess you are describing but we are cautiously optimistic after 5 meals.
I was told this was a very common issue and 75% of them were returned due to this issue. I have tried every which way to try to prevent it . It does not happen if using just the oven only when using the air fry option so idk.... maybe they fixed some kinks. I purchased the first ones on release date and believe that it’s the fact that they didn’t test some of the first ones! Bestbuy says their technicians can’t even fix them as they have not had proper training on this model so we have to wait for an available time with frigidaire themselves to come out
I believe the bottom drawer you pulled out is for pans, lids, etc. - We are looking to buy the Fridgedaire Gallery and they showed us all of the models available and each of them have the broiler unit in the oven (top).... Thanks for the tip on saving our old Broiler pans- we totally do that.

OMG!, I feel your pain !! I was as disappointed and really upset as you were. I’m so glad you mentioned the boiler pan. Which I thought they accidentally forgot! I was ready to fry tonight in my Frigidaire fryer range. I saw someone using the fryer tray and though oh great, they give you an air fry oven that you can’t use unless you by the tray! Gee would have been great if the salesman told us that. Now like you I have to order it!I’m Really not a happy cooker right now ! You made me feel l so good knowing I wasn’t the only so frigin angry! We've used our Frigidare air fry oven, 5 times, and each time, it's smoked like crazy, sent the fire alarm off more than once each time. We've done the self cleaning thing, had the hood fan on the whole time. It takes longer than recipes say to cook thoroughly. I just decided never to mess with it again.
Use very little oil (or none at all, depending), and make sure it's refined avocado oil - which has a smoke point of 520°F. Place a drip pan on the next rack down, and line it with parchment paper.
I have the same issues I didn’t know about the pan and tried to airfry using the broiler and the smell was terrible I did keep my pan from my old oven cause I saw the new ones don’t come with one
My brand new Frigidaire (one day old) when set to AirFry 375deg, goes to 450+ (precision thermometer) and burner stays on; afraid the stove might burn up. The BAKE function works and temp is exact. Will call HELP line tomorrow. Also, Home Depot recognized the air fryer assembly tray was not included with the stove; after complaining, HD knocked off $50 and we purchased it direct from Frigidaire

Those drawers are not broilers drawers anymore. They are warming drawers. The broiler is in the oven and you are right you have to order broiler pans also.
A piece of our oven insulation has fallen down between the two glasses. Repairman came once put it back on and it has fallen again. I have waited hours collectively on the Frigidaire repair line. Any thoughts?
Air fryer aside, how do you like the range? We are considering this model. I've read the beeps that it makes are obnoxious. Thoughts? Have you had any issues it it overall?
Acc. to the manufacturer, you don't "have to" use the special tray to air fry--you can just use a cookie sheet. It's in the manual and they say it online too, just FYI.
Bought this in June and by the end of July we were so frustrated with the oven not working along with Frigidaire that we are trying to figure out how to get this as far from our home as possible

I would never buy a fridgidaire lg ge or Samsun range , maybe a kitchenaid still but I’d go for a nice gourmet range a nice FORNO , mueller, Viking, fisher and pykel something actually NICE AND WORTH THE MONEY
Consistently Inconsistent - Nice of you to reply. I use a smaller, oven style air fryer. You can still use the air fry feature by putting your foods on a rack with a catch tray or cookie sheet on a level below. I’m on the fence for investing this model. Yep we waited from November till Jan 3rd.(from Home Depot) She is correct no air frying rack comes with. They don't tell you that. It's on the floor models tho.

Just cancelled my Lowes order after waiting over a month and having them push back the date 3 times now. I called ABC warehouse today (Wednesday) and it will be delivered this weekend on Saturday. Glad I stopped waiting for Lowes to get their crap together, their estimated ship date are MONTHS off.
Honestly it seems like you just didn’t do your research. The bottom of this oven is not a warmer or broiler it is a drawer. Also know where is it stated that it comes with the air fryer tray or a cookie sheet. The salesman probably should’ve explain these things, but when you shop at Best Buy that’s what you get.
Well you shouldn't have to do research to know that people use the bottom drawer for a storage. I don't know why people don't know that. I knew that as a kid. I didn't have to ask. I'm not trying to be mean, I just don't understand why people don't know that. Just look in it.
I understand your frustration but I think you should hold yourself a bit accountable. I spent a lot of time reading reviews and it was obvious with any air fryer the food has to have air flow all around the food even in the counter top versions. The electric version does not come with a power cord. I did my homework and got everything I needed to install and also air fry prior to delivery. I wouldn’t buy a car without a test drive. 🤷🏻♂️

I agree. The literature on the range when I was researching them clearly says it’s an accessory for separate purchase. You should never take what a salesperson tells you as the absolute truth! But if they indeed told you it came with it then I would hold them accountable to get you one. If you put up a big enough stink over it they might but unless you have him recorded or he admits he said that then they probably won’t. Some other brand ranges come with them but not Frigidaire. Just like some don’t come with the griddle pan for the top oval burner but Frigidaire usually does.

I ordered mine from electronic express and got it in two weeks. Nobody told me it comes with an air fryer basket, nor any other cookware so I wasn’t expecting it. It’s a great range.
Also you’re making these comments that you’re doing all these renovations yet you buying a kinda whatever stove it’s nothing special , get something nice like a wolf or a fisher and pykel now those are ranges

The broiler is located inside the main oven on the top, the bottom drawer is for storage only
The draw is actually a warming draw not storage. But people usually do store pans in it.

Does Ur fan stay on after u turn off the oven (airfry) is it an annoying buzzing sound if so?

If you use an oil with a higher smoke point, you likely won’t have any smoke issues. I like avocado oil personally

You can just use a cookie xooling rack, set it on a cookie sheet, it will work until you get the basket rack!

Sounds like you were using too much oil.

Laura you must use avacado oil to avoid the smoking. High heat only.

The tray is nice however i can’t ever really use it due to the whole house filling with smoke every time i attempt to air fry
With my countertop air fryer, I always add water under the basket. No smoke. It may work in this oven too....I will be getting mine in about a week.
So what is your update now after some time? Did you use the air fryer? Do you use it often? I'm wondering if it's worth it to get it.
Before you use the air fryer, run the self clean. And when you do air fry, use a drip pan beneath it.

Other than the air fryer it’s great!!! I haven’t been able to return or have it serviced due to the shut down but my only issue is the air fryer
You can turn the beeps off so that it it silent.
My Samsung air fryer range came with a free air fryer mesh tray

You won’t “mess up” your range by using a non-Frigidaire pan.
