My neighbor friend destroyed his Joes with numerous shots with a .22 rifle back in the 60's! I had 2 Joes, and still have them (and many more bought recently) that are in great condition still. I am buying the Joes I wanted as a child.
That's awesome that most of these you had as a kid and still have them, I have several but all bought as an adult collector the ones I had as a kid been long gone LOL, the adventure team were the most attractive and vibrant of all the gijoe toy line in my opinion. Great video keep them coming
I'm a A.R.A.H. JOE fan and I realized a few months ago that the blonde, the brunet, the brown haired cat and the ginger where the inspiration for Clutch, Breaker, Rock 'n Roll, and Snow Job on the JOE team. If feel that Hasbro is missing a golden opportunity to introduce kids to G.I. JOE via the Adventure Team. Unfortunately, for Hasbro part of the reason as to why the JOE movies fail is because JOE fans either want to see a version of what Larry Hama wrote or what we watched on t.v. as kids. If Hasbro used Adventure Team in movies and cartoons it what free the creative staff of making anything resembling A.R.A.H.
I got my first Joe in 68 or 69, a talking soldier, but destroyed them in my early teens, but started collecting them again in the late1980s, after walking into a Doll shop in Chicago and seeing an old friendly face. I have a fairly large Collection now, From all eras I guess around 300 or so, with lots of vehicles, I think I have 15 of the 5 star jeeps, but still lots of things I don't have! But I'm still looking!
I just now got a talking adventure leader with a gun and holster, if they had made them with the pullstring when I was growing up I would have loved it
I just brought a G I JOE CHEST had 1 adventure Joe with about 8 different uniforms at an estate sale they were selling it for 120 but got it down to fifty..still in great shape
I have nearly all of the GI Joes that you have, plus a few foreign Action Man figures and the Adventure Team Headquarters play set. I've had the Air Adventurer GI Joe since the early 1970's. Somehow this one survived. I bought all the others on Ebay.
That is funny that you said u went on to Six Million Dollar Man and your buddy had Atomic Boy, that’s the same situation my best friend and I were in. I think I got my Six Million Dollar Man for a birthday and then I was pretty interested in getting more accessories for him rather than My GI Joe Adventure team stuff....although we still played w all of them together.
I wanna say 1978 for my G.I. Joe, but I sent him on many, many clandestine missions, we'd be home for dinner when street lights came on. Joe and bionic man, pulsar were my top go to for maximum fun!
I have one figure, it’s a guy that started off at a 1966 sea sled diver and I bought it as just a neck post, shoulders, thighs, and chest, i restrung it and bought a head for it, the head I bought didn’t fit and was a 1964 pinhead which I figured out after buying, my dad bought me a fuzz head that has a few bald spots but it’s not too bad, then I found a land adventurer uniform in my collection on a reproduction deep sea diver, I sewn the tab back on, then I got the holster from a lot I had before I got the figure itself, it had a broken tab and a cracked belt area, well I cut off the belt and now there’s a shoulder holster that’s one of a kind, I have a knockoff pistol I painted up and made it look good and stuck that in and made one lower leg out of clay, I also put a dark green hat on him along with a belt with medical pouch from 1964 but now to buy more parts
I feel they've missed a lot by not having special edition 12" Joes and sets. The smaller 3 3/4" Joes get a lot of marketing, which is fine, but Hasbro is missing out on opportunities. Hasbro is a HUGE company, so they have different goals in their production line, like movies being made that tie into the 3 3/4" characters. There are younger collectors of the 12" figures as well that I've spoken to, so age shouldn't be a huge demographic determination, there is plenty of disposable income in the collector market for 1:6 scale Joe products.
Awesome Collection! Myself I didn't really have a lot of GI Joes growing up in the 70s because I don't know my mother didn't think about ever buying any for me. But I am making up for it all that time that I didn't have any in the last several years I have acquired primarily of GI Joe Adventure team only and it's been a blast so far..
Where indeed! I don't have one of him, and I've never quite figured out how he fit in. Kind of like 'the Intruders'. They're all neat on their own merit though, I just need to finish the odds n' ends on what I've got now before delving into the others..

@@ToyTinkerTim Damn RUclips! Anyway, nice collection! I have some GI Joe 40th Anniversary, Cotswald, and a few vintage items and love them. I really want a Mike Powers like I had as a kid.
Awesome collection. Tim. I had al these guys and their dog Duke. Nothing compares to GI Joes
My favorite toy as a kid.
Very durable. You could not destroy GI Joe.

Love the 70's vibe. Thanks for the look back.👨
You bet!
absolutely loved the fantastic box art
Definitely, I think inspiring box/package artwork is often overlooked. It can really translate into toy sales.
I have those and others. Started getting them when I was 4 in 1972.
Nice 👍 Still collecting?
excellent collection, what makes it even more special is you got some of your originals in there, awesome!

Nice collection. These were before my time but quickly became a favorite era of GI Joe for me. Second only to the ones with Cobra

Jake. Great collection dude, just starting out, very inspiring
Thanks Jake, have fun collecting!

I got an original the year they came out but my favorite was a xouple years later fuzzy hair and beard with a pull string talk box.
Call Ray at Flock Concepts to have that beard rub spot repaired. Ray does great re-flocks.
I have the Sea Adventurer, with the box top and shoulder holster and gun.
Got my talking Commander and a brunette Mon of Action as an attic find.
Cool!
I like both Hasbro, Mattel, & Mego.

Hasbro needs to bring these guys back . GI JOE built that company , i think they've lost sight of that .

adventure team also had gi joe astronaut, and gi joe man of action
Nice 👍
I had the voice Commander Joe with Kung Fu grip. “I’ve got a tough assignment for you, Joe...”
What is G.I. Joe’s I like them I wish I had them how do you make a G.I. Joe I saw your video that you made
Jemial 🤩
Those are the hands I remember from the early 70’s…are those considered kung fu grip ? The first one shown in the video
The 'Talking Commander', 'Eagle Eye Action Man', and 'Mike Power Atomic Man' are all examples in this video of the Kung-Fu Grip 👍 Thanks for watching!
Tim, wheres Bulletman!?!

The intruder was simply terrible! A space traveling caveman.
