Just purchased one of these on eBay and restored it with a new winch/stickers and a good cleaning and polishing, brings back great memories and nostalgia. Great video keep them coming

@@kinghistory6042 I got this set and a few other items for Christmas as a kid. Sears used to have a giant toy Dept and would be full of Adventure team GI Joe stuff around the holidays. The wish book would arrive in November so we could start bugging Santa early! Loved my GI Joes and I had them for years and years.

Wow is this a blast from the past, I got this for Christmas of 1971. I remember burying the Mummy in our back yard using the pick axe and shovel.
That's right it was an all in 1 set ! I remember now I LOVE these GI Joe vids my childhood memories come rushing back to me

My brother and I had this set. We buried the mummy in a stump pile and went to get it the next day and could never find it. :)

Thank you Tim for the great review ! Sure brings back memories as I had the same set . Along with the story book mine also came with a "45" speed LP record that played the story . Cool stuff ! I think I still have the yellow Attex 6X6 ATV body somewhere in a closet . LOL !

I just got mine today, only thing missing is the little latch
I have one the uniform is original Hong Kong two shirt pockets and pocket flaps on pants, missing comic book. Memories are priceless. Have a Trouble Shooter and the Action Man Power Hog
Just ordered one of these, it’s from the sears exclusive three pack, I’ve got the atv missing winch, the sled from the other set that goes with the three pack, and the tent of another set from it

i will never understand why Hasbro made the mummy so small.
I was also going to comment on that. Having a full sized mummy and sarcophagus would have been epic. It always bothered me as a kid as it felt like Joe was uncovering the body of a child. Maybe because of the interest in King Tut at that time? Or maybe due to oil prices limiting the amount of accessories.
I've not found it in print by a Hasbro authority but had heard it was a cost issue. Same with the gorilla/abominable snowman
