Atomic Train Full VHS movie. Sorry abot the Swe Subtitles Train´s : BC Rail (look for the extra lights and paint job) and others are ex -CN. Thanks to ( tjmfishing)
That train during the school bus sequence really should've had its' headlight on. That scene also reminds me of Todd Strasser's book "Don't Get Caught Driving the School Bus," which also has a scene where a school bus is stopped on the tracks, except it wasn't stalled, and it has the same outcome (the bus moves off the tracks at the last second, crashing through the crossing gate right before the train can hit it.)
My god..... the 96 Silver Springs Derailment, the 87 Chevy Chase Derailment, the 93 Big Bayou Canot Derailment.... the worst wrecks in the history of Amtrak. Chilling footage from the aftermath of those wrecks.
Pt 1:Trucks have air over hydraulic. North American railroads >do NOT< have hydraulic brakes (can't speak for other countries but I believe all are similar). Train brakes are pneumatic (air). And the air line keeps the brakes OFF. Normal brake pipe pressure is 90 PSI. There is also redundant systems: brake pipe and emergency. If the train airline leaks, the brakes go on. If the train uncouples and the air hoses disconnect, the brakes go on. And the entire train, not a single car.
Here are some of the train crashes in the beginning that I know: -1997 Kingman Arizona train derailment, Amtrak's Southwest Chief was traveling eastbound but a flash flood wiped out a bridge and the train derailed on it even though they hit the emergency brakes. Everyone survived the derailment and all the equipment and locomotives went back into service but one of them crashed in Cayce in 2018 and another on the Crescent (Probably) in 2012 -1996 Silver Springs train crash, A MARC train crashed into Amtrak's Capitol Limited due to the driver missing a warning signal at yellow. 11 people died and many more were injured. The 3 MARC coaches and a F40PH was written off. -1993 Big Bayou Cannot train crash, a barge hit a bridge and Amtrak's Sunset limited crashed into the misaligned segment that was hit by the barge. 47 people died and over 100 were injured a P40DC and 2 F40S were written off and scrapped. -1994 crash where? Amtrak's Silver Meteor hit a intermodal container that fell off a CSX train, the engineer was killed and I hadn't found out what equipment was written off. I think I know one of the freight train derailments but I'm not sure.
Hello Harrison. If I remember correctly the silver meteor telescoped with a freight train somewhere in South Carolina. 1 was killed 47 others survive w severe and critical injuries
Yes. The movie is simplifying the railroad braking system so its easier to understand for the common person. If the brake hoses came apart on and actual train, the entire train would go into emergency braking.
The beginning is supposed to take place in Dallas, Texas, but it doesn't even look much like Dallas! LOL They obviously filmed it somewhere in Canada or in the Northeastern States!
1:54 They shouldn't have taken the locomotive into service with a stiff throttle. 2:04 That school bus should have had it's engine inspected, before it can be used for taking the students to school or going on a field trip, it wouldn't be safe, otherwise it wouldn't have broken down at the Railroad Crossing.
School buses are required to stop at all railroad tracks unless the tracks are out of service if they are not out of service they stop look and listen for trains any vehicles that get stuck on the tracks with a train coming get out of your vehicle and stay out
Amtrak 910 was on the November 1996 wreck at Secaucas junction NJ. Marc 73 was derailed at silver springs. And 819, 312, and 262 were all scrapped during the bayou canot wreck in Alabama in September 1993.
Pt 3: Any reduction in pressure in the train brake line shows on the gauge and the engineer can see the changes. Bottom line: the movie(s) plays on the lack of knowledge of the common person in regards to the operation of railroad braking systems.
Exactly my point. And this was the time automatic trains were being made. That’s why this train looks so classic. But they still use these trains today
Visually it is, but regarding audio they just used a stock train sound effect from the Sound Ideas Series 1000 sound effects library. The same train horn sound used for WestRail 642!
To tell you the truth, i thought the train/school bus scene was really silly but at the same time, awesome! I like how it comes out as a horror scene because of a possible accident and the music. There's really nothing relevant or mysterious about it. It's just silly. But also likeable at the same time. And that's because of the music and the extremely rarity of a movie (or at least for a train movie).
Wouldn’t it be nice to see a film called the Impact Zone?? Based off a true story. Train 286 and the capital limited detail in a fiery head-on collision. feb 16 1996
I see your point by aren’t they going down the hill the whole time? And just like the black conductor from the begging said “Too much speed” “Too much weight” so I think Doing that would be completely useless. Also the video takes place in the 90s and automatic trains like these were still being worked on and I think the trains like these weren’t built properly. I also think that half of the crew is even scared to hook up the airhose anyway. Other than the errors I still felt the movie in some kind of way. In unstoppable was good too
Haha...the conductor asked why they weren't slowing down. The conductor would obviously know why, bad attempt to show the audience why they weren't slowing down.
@wileyk209zback Also notice the engineer puts the throttle lever in the idle notch and they make it look like he is in full throttle or notch 8 instead. Throttles in american diesels open from right to left not left to right.
@runawayfreak This is most likly going to e the best. All the others dont work. I am actually glad he isusing VHS. And the qaulity is good for being recorded from a tv.
Hey this is under siege 2 XD 0:48
Train Crash From Under Siege 2: Dark Territory (1995).
That train during the school bus sequence really should've had its' headlight on.

its in bc and vancover

THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS ENTIRE MOVIE SIR!! I have looked for it for YEARS!
Same here lol

Train vs bus one way to start a movie

It was in Cayce, South Carolina. Both crew members in the lead Amtrak engine died@@nicholasmedovich8691
Last one was the Under Siege 2 train collision between the Grand Continental and the Nevada Petrol Express on the bridge
1:12 my favorite part

@runawayfreak Thakns! im glad you like it, the aother parts are on the way! : )
Who complained? The video is good quality, and I haven't seen this movie in years. Thanks for putting it up! :):)

Ya don’t say?
logic dose not exist in there world

Don't apologize for the swe subtitle. I'm from sweden and this was perfect to watch. Thanx!! :)

0:50 Scene from Under Siege 2.
That's Right!
Why hasn't anybody posted the official score for this movie?
Now Lee Holdridge, the composer of the TV movie, released the soundtrack on digital platforms
Pt 3: Any reduction in pressure in the train brake line shows on the gauge and the engineer can see the changes. Bottom line: the movie(s) plays on the lack of knowledge of the common person in regards to the operation of railroad braking systems.
2:54 seriously, the pony can wait child life is more important
damn children caring more about their toys than their lives
Well she is like three year old
The locomotive would actually be in IDLE according to the direction the engineer moved the throttle and was stuck in.
me who is from Sweden says thanks for the swedish subtitles :)
Jesus all aboard the failroad!
This film may be alittle unbeleivable in some regards, but it's very good for a TV movie.
13:49 Smoke 14:02 Explosion
Came here to see this part again that I watched as a child. Favorite part has to be 642 departing Stillwater at 11:17!
Man, that bus at the beginning, they need to get that checked.
Realized the scene from 0:45 is from "Under Seige 2."
0:45
And... why are dangerous Russian chemicals being carried by a Canadian-style US Class 1 railroad freight train?
Cnw#8701 Henry Bradshaw (a character in the movie) slipped it onto the train.
The train should have stopped by itself when the air hoses first started leaking!
This was back in 1999, why do you think CSX 8888 ran away in 2001.
Exactly my point. And this was the time automatic trains were being made. That’s why this train looks so classic. But they still use these trains today
Its kind of a good thing you have subtitles in another language, i know other people who speak different a language watch this movie
In Italy we still do dubbing, while in some countries like Sweden or Holland are still subtitled

I'm back again but this time I got a question. 1:10 isn't that a Nathan M5 horn?
Visually it is, but regarding audio they just used a stock train sound effect from the Sound Ideas Series 1000 sound effects library. The same train horn sound used for WestRail 642!
0:49 Under Siege 2: Dark Territory scene
Yes, From Warner Bros.
Hey VwErik88, I was 🤔 is it possible that I could make a documentary film called the Impact Zone?? Based off the Maryland train collision of 1996.
Correct me if I'm wrong but if the reverser (the red handle above the guys hand) is in the center position won't the throttle not work?
What happened to the school bus in this scene?
Nothing. He just stopped it on the tracks for a cheap scare!
00:13 scene from the Impact Zone.
yeah! great work. thanks! Nice quality for A 10 year old vhs too ;)
@G777GUN Thanks for your feedback :) more parts are now uploaded :=) some more will comming tomorow. Rangers / Erik.

the description says this movie has some cn unit, but as far as I can see it are only BCRail engines.
runawayfreak Dont forget SRY Rail Link in the bus scene
@GeorgeUKCFC Nah, the train only hit the Emergency Exit door.
@killman369547 You are verry welcome! I´m glad you like it! :=)
You did a great job with the upload!! Well done
On 12:24 West Rail 642's whistle
Can anyone find the original news broadcasts of the real train wrecks at the beginning?
Wouldn’t it be nice to see a film called the Impact Zone?? Based off a true story. Train 286 and the capital limited detail in a fiery head-on collision. feb 16 1996
This beginning probably isn't good for Amtrak's business... lol
Do the air brakes in america use the failsafe principle???
@davidhaythornthwaite You are very welcome David ! :=)
this is a good movie
I love this movie
On 11:35 Why can't they uncouple the leading locomotive since it's stop brakes are gone, and that the emergency brake is not working?
I see your point by aren’t they going down the hill the whole time? And just like the black conductor from the begging said “Too much speed” “Too much weight” so I think Doing that would be completely useless. I also think that half of the crew is even scared to hook up the airhose anyway. Other than the errors I still felt the movie in some kind of way. In unstoppable was good too
And if that train had all these errors it would have been decommissioned long ago but thankfully these trains are going strong today.
0:50 Anybody recognized this crash??????
Under Siege 2?
Yep.
How would you not recognize the crash of one of the worst movies in history.
lol fail! the freight cars have friction bearings instead of roller bearings
one of thoes SW's was SRY 910 (2nd unit) my friend models SRY
BNSFfan2373 What was the first one? 901 or 908?
ok, forgot about that bus secne, i saw it on youtube before.
Unstoppable was better :3
Atomic train 2.0 but it still had the same amount of errors like in this move
3:02 *nope*
Haha...the conductor asked why they weren't slowing down. The conductor would obviously know why, bad attempt to show the audience why they weren't slowing down.
Plus that locomotive shouldn't be in service with a stiff throttle.
What happened to the girl in 2:55?
Uhh she survived
Of course with a care more for their things I guess she’s probably the first to die in the nuclear explosion
Near the railroad crossing, the school bus break down or is it out of gas?
He just stopped on the tracks to give the film a cheap fake-out!
0:26 Idk why it reminds me of what happened to the train in Ohio carrying chemicals… (This is not meant to be disrespectful)
colorado?

What was the wreck at 00:56?

What does the scene in Dallas have to do with the rest of the movie?

If I was that train engineer I would beler that train horn and duck for deer live
sounds like a penn central train
@5trucker Yes I think they have both
@themafia306 You are verry welcome :=)
The locomotive was sabotage
Witch one
Did he not notice that his break fluid was slowly leaking from the train
If the pressure dropped enough during the trip in the mountains, the brakes would have locked on therefore causing the train to come to a dead stop
I would have checked all the cars before leaving for the night
1:10 WTF 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😹😹😹😹😹😹😹😸😸🤟🏻🤟🏻🤟🏻🗣🗣🗣🗣🗣💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨💨
do trains have hydrolic brakes ????????? i thought it was air
5trucker it is air, they don’t have brake fluid as this movie states
@wileyk209zback yeh now when you say it i see that, i have never think abot that before, that was a cirector misstake :P
Your very welcome :)
ever heard of these films?? The Impact Zone, Corridor Corruption, Battered on the Bayou, Forefront of Public Concern, or 5 Alarm Amtrak Fireball??
Better than SharkNado
@runawayfreak
This is most likly going to e the best. All the others dont work. I am actually glad he isusing VHS. And the qaulity is good for being recorded from a tv.
