I'm so happy I made productive decisions about my finances that changed my life forever. I'm a single mother living in Melbourne Australia, bought my second house in August and hoping to buy a BYD Tang EV and retire next year at 43 if things keep going smoothly for me.
Congratulations dear. You're really doing well for yourself, I'm 48 and my financial life is in a mess. Any great tips would really go a long way in shaping my life. I'm eyeing a Mercedes C class, I'm a long way from owning one though but it'll be such a flex
@@AllenDoltAbby Joseph Cohen my investment portfolio manager hooked me up with a late-stage fund that got me in on private shares of some hot companies before they hit the market or blew up. When this car comes to Australia it will be the best value electric car in the market and could destroy a lot of legacy automakers.
This car is absolutely amazing, I can't believe they are selling this as the same price of byd dolphin in China. I did the test drive for this car, it has alot of common technologies as my xpeng G6. Absolute bargain
Beautiful looking car, if the US had THAT car for under $20k, it would be the best selling car in US history too.
Unless there are 100% tariffs.....
That's why we can't buy it. We would.
Bring back the...
$26k ( -$7,500) Bolt, #Chevy!
Everybody middle income people want a simple family EV car big enough for 5 people, adequate range, cheap to own and that is what most people want. No insane acceleration of 2 seconds 0 to 100km. This making everybody can buy the car, that why it doing that well.
I personally wouldn't mind having a car with 0-60 in 2 seconds. That would be AWESOME!
But I think we do lack cars for people that ONLY need transportation.
Orders for the MONA M03 has actually passed 60,000 last week. It has probably crossed 70,000 by now. In fact, they had 16,000 new orders across all models just last week. That's more than Li Auto, who has been the sales leader among startups for 2 years. If they can deliver on those orders promptly, their sales numbers are going to explode in the coming months.
Yes but Onvo lL60 which is a category above this had 300,000 orders last week according to Mr P channel a Nio insider. Chinese government is launching mandatory battery health checks from next year which will benefit Swapping cars. Changan which joined Nio swap alliance is releasing its swappable car in a few months time.
Xpeng deserves this recognition
@@ciybersal3499Yes, because now Xpeng Motors and Nio work efficiently together, Nio increased the efficiency of their software which is much better than ever before because if Xpeng Motors. Xpeng Motors will now propose another SEPA platform with Nio battery swapping solution! Both took lot of advantages since the Nio creator is using the excellent Xpeng X9!
I live in Paris and I am very tempted by the prices you are saying and when I look at the prices on the French website it breaks my heart.😃
They will be at the motorshow next month, I'm so annoyed I won't be able to go (only in the UK) send me details 😂
Yes not competitive with Tesla...
Hopefully Xpeng can finally become profitable.
Good!! Hope their stock goes up so I can eventually make some money on their stock!
I spotted Xpeng X9 Lhd last week in Sydney
Soon Xpeng EVs may come as Volkswagen.
US and EU tariffs on Chinese autos wouldn’t likely make that feasible.
@@scottdvorak5606Unless VW start making them in Europe that’s right. Could happen given the mess VW are in currently and they could just become assemblers or other peoples cars.
No never ,they do better car than any Volkswagen car. So they cannot be sold as Bentley, they are much better according to what the testing engineers said after having tested all Xpeng models during weeks, and recognize that even Bentley or Lamborghini have lit to learn from Xpeng Motors build quality and efficiency!
They kept the dash simple but elegant. Fantastic car indeed.
If this car arrives in Australia with a $29,990 price tag, can you imagine what would happen 😅
Man if it comes to Aus for 30k I’m buying one now
I think it's going to be at the 40k price range. The importer is an American company for BYD and they are greedy af. In China the atto 3 is about 20ish k. While we are paying double & alil more for that. AUSSIE IMPORTERS might milk the crap out of it I reckon. Then start dropping price like mad as we go.. and we will see stupid news going ev is a slump dump in Australia (again)
Even at 35k it would still sell a lot of units.
Same for USA.
China can eventually make and sell this car for AUD $10,000 but import tariffs and shipping cost to Australia will add another AUD $15,000 on it.
The prices of EV in China is great for buyers there, sadly due to taxes.. overseas buyers will have to pay much more...

This and the G6 looks like will save xpeng. In a week they will be finally available here in Spain 😃
How do U.S. manufacturers compete - they pay politicians to put up tariffs.
I thikn this is half true. Sometimes its the politician adding tarriffs to protect US busineses and other times its the way you said it.
But to be fair, why would we give China BILLIONS of dollars just so they can build warships with it to fight us. They already steal a lot if not all of our technologies.
I’m guessing they also pay auto workers ten times what their Chinese counterparts make. Read what you want into this. My take is around the global flow of capital. Imbalances are being re-balanced.
@@Boris_Chang
It's all about currency exchange. Also, car factory workers in Australia and the USA do get a few times higher than the national average wage but they pay a lot in taxes, and their cost of living is very high too, many times that in China.
Peng relates to Chinese mythology and means long living after a myth of some god living for 800 years of that name.
The Chinese have 100% figured out how to make good cars. I don’t want an EV, but if I did, I would buy Chinese. Tesla is too stripped down inside.
Don't believe the hype just yet, they still have a ways to go but they will catch us FAST. I own a Tesla and also agree that the interior is VERY simple. I wish the Model Y had a heads up display at minimum or an instrument cluster in the drivers side. That's one thing I think would be nice to have. I also wish you could get a Tesla with REAL leather seats. But aside from that, it's a good car overall.
@@georgevigil7001 Teslas as missing the knobs and buttons I want for control. I don't want to try to use a screen while I'm dodging traffic or driving on a bumpy road. I want a physical gear shift. I want a turn stalk. I want a display in front of me. Chinese cars provide what I want.
@@softwarephil1709 Oh yeah, that's one of the main reasons I got the 2024 Model Y instead of the 2025 refresh, the new ones don't come with a physical gear shift or turn stalk.
I don't think you'll be able to get any of these chinese EV's in the US for quite a while. Checkout Rivian or Lucid, they might have more buttons.
XPeng is a very serious company! They are not there to come in second place!
We don’t see such vehicles in the UK, if we ever do, the price will double and they wonder why EV take up is slow here._
It,s the import duties and middleman,s profit that pushes up the final price to you.

Recently, I test drove the electric cars from NIO and Leap Motor. The quality of the products is very high, and they are also very smart. I just made an appointment for a test drive of the M03. I will buy a car within half a year. There are too many choices now.
I was berated on comments on this channel when I said cybertruck would not be as promised and prices/demand would fall. I was told that there were 2 million confirmed orders and I was a fool. I WAS CORRECT. DO NOT PLACE YOUR FORTUNES IN FUTURE ORDERS, THEY CAN BE CANCELLED.
Just use your brains. I hope these guys succeed, but be careful.
I agree but will say, the Cybertruck is technically the US best selling Truck. But I think the CT orders of 2 million were lost due to the price increase from what people expected.
One of them conked out in the middle of 6th Ave., right in front of Radio City Music Hall, this evening. Nobody even gave it a second look.

All sounds good. I worked for a car company in Adelaide and they sold their vehicles to the police at cost which was exactly half the retail. If Expeng are making a profit without government support I would wonder how at that price.

To be honest everyone is being quite naive to think once the demand ramps up and they cant meet that the price stays the same. I would be quite happy to let others be the beta testers and buy the version with all the kinks worked out a year later even at a higher price. Competition is awesome for us consumers!!
This is exactly why I bought a 2024 Model Y. Got the last one before the refresh so I knew all the kinks were sorted out!
You will love it!!!!
If the price is rite here in Aus, I will be placing an order
Sorry but you're forgetting Onvo, that is going to be presented tomorrow. Onvo will be the most sold car of the year... 😉
Please sell like crazy and make public charging a hassle so that everyone can see the future is battery swapping aka Nio and Onvo!!!
in that case i'd prefer they standardize the battery sizes so all EV brands can go to same places to swap batteries
I love the idea, but the problem with battery swapping is that the buyer must purchase a full tank every time. Only got a few dollars in your pocket? You’re walking home.
@@Stephen-wc8fn good point! But that's also sad that someone can''t afford to fully fill up their gas tank 😞
G6 charges at 280kwh. G9 at 320 kWh, Zeekr 007 and 7x at 550 kWh. Soon charging your car will be faster than swapping. Not to mention the bulk of batteries needed for swapping. Not to mention that NIO shell (car without battery ) is more expensive than a Zeekr 7X with a battery, plus you need to pay 120 usd a month to rent a battery when you can charge one month with 20 usd here in China. Not to mention that swapping doesn’t allow making a structural battery and the car is heavier and their cars are big. Real range about 250-280, real use for the 75 kWh battery. Yep, these are things that kept me not buying a NIO even though I like their cars. Are just overpriced and bad market positioned. So don’t bet on swapping. Though they also might survive but always will be a minority.

X-peng... hmm, they put a ridiculous high price here in Sweden for their P5, and sold... nothing. Have they changed their mind now, or not?
It will be of no surprise if they put their Usd 16.900 EV at Usd 40-50.000 here... and sales result = nothing... Swedish people may be blue-eyed, but not entirely stupid enough to pay extreme amounts for a budget car. Especially not now, when car sales here decrease dramatically.
Bruv, respect but as an investor, the question is what is the cost to produce ? Money is not infinite. How much runway do they have ? It's a great car no doubt but any conversations about the stock price is short sighted. You can say the same about LUCID's new car but what's the cost of production?
The Mona M03 delivery price: a combi of giga casting, relatively low Chinese labour costs and battery prices at an all time low?? Very smart to focus on highest Sedan energy efficiency (smaller battery set means lower price and more miles per KWh means lower electricity bills). The drag coefficient should be confirmed by an independent company, not that I seriously doubt the Xpeng claims. Self driving is not that important, better license Aptera's solar technology to give the Xpeng Mona solar miles as well. My estimate, 30 solar miles in a solar Xpeng Mona on a sunny day is engineerable, for a thousand dollar more on top of the delivery price.
This is why there are tariff in the West, people would flood to buy this car and they don't want people to be able to buy this affordable EV. Shows how much the Western governments want to go green

sales are great, but how can they make a profit at these prices? We have seen with tesla that yes they sell more, but don't meet financial targets and analyst expectations so the stock takes a nosedive. Time will tell I guess, it will be interesting to see if they can pull this off.
Tesla are the most profitable EV car maker in the world. The trouble is the expectations of the stock market are ridiculous, due to the massive stock price increases in the past, so any minor news affects the price. Very volatile stock and could bomb or massively increase in the future. Don’t invest unless you’re prepared for the ride.
Export of Chinese cars are profitable. It's the local market in China most companies are losing money in a bid to gain market share
So $40,000 USD or more anywhere in the West then 😂
Better to just buy an American Made car at that point IMO. If these cars don't compete with US cars price wise, there's no point in bringing them this far. If they are just as expensive, they need to offer much more.

I doubt very much that Tesla's profit margins in China are any higher than BYD's. Tesla fattens its profit margins by selling in the US market where there is very little competition and they get billions of dollars of carbon credit subsidies.
Tesla generated $45B in sales in the US and $22B of sales in China. Yet the number of cars sold in each country was very similar, 655K sales in US and 603K sales in China in 2023. Thus the profit margin is CLEARLY much lower in China.
If BYD had the same access to the US market as Tesla has to the Chinese market, it's profit margin would almost certainly be at least equal to if not higher than Tesla.
You guys noticed what the chinese are trying to do in last couple of weeks?
I know what they have been doing to Sam but thats it.
What's going on?
being Chinese?
