      No catch and cooks here mate. Just catching, coral trout would be amazing. Seen them on sunny coast just never further

    I knew as soon as I saw the title what this would be. I too had a similar encounter but land based in a backwater near harbour town. Was rolling a Z man over an old submerged filing cabinet and watched it swim out and eat my plastic at my feet. Surprised how hard this one fought the one I caught didn’t pull any line at all and wasn’t that much smaller.

    Awesome fish mate! They go unbelievably hard. I caught one 880mm & 13kg in the Macleay river on the nsw mid north coast about 5 hours south of you no of them having been caught to in excess of 100kgs by some local boys made the front page of the local paper! All qld grouper totally protected in nsw

    Fantastic catch. Well done. I was with a mate when he caught one in a river up on Cape York. Boy did it keep up a fight. I’ve just found your channel so have some videos to catch up with. It’s a nice looking boat. What is it?

      They are such a unique fish hey. Its Just a old clark 435 dominator, dont make them anymore tho. Its about 8 years old.

    Great catch mate. Always wanted to get one of these. Would rather it over a decent jack even.

      Keep in mind your not allowed to target them hey. Can land you in alot of trouble with fisheries
