Well explained. Always been annoyed & confused about this and made me stop dragging samples to DMD/QS even though i did correct VOL + Filter off, maybe missing velocity... I REALLY think apple needs to make sure a simple drag & drop creates the 1:1 result that nulls

Can you do a video on how to make this a default setting

...its great to know that, how we can fix the problem, but apple should make it as a default some settings to be able to null on the test....regards and thanks for your videos Chris!

Brilliant. I don't use DMD or the step seq at all, but I do drag samples into the full sampler. It doesn't seem to mess with anything.
What's interesting is what is actually in that sample in the extended part that appears to have nothing in it (using DMD and the Q sampler). I usually truncate that anyway, but I wouldn't want anything there in the first place. Since that stuff is very low frequency, maybe I just don't notice it in the sample-that extended part may actually have a gradual oscillation at a low frequency that just isn't visible.
One thing I wish they would do is allow us to expand the sample as visualized by allowing expansion of the vertical (level) axis.

I would love to see a video on the latest update to Logic. Specifically the changes not mentioned in the release notes. There were things done to pitch correction and Flex Time and pitch. Think there were more too.

Thanks a lot - very useful when you use DMD at your go-to for samples

Hey Chris - have you figured out a way to select and change multiple pads in DMD? For instance, change the pitch on the entire drum kit, Put multiple in a group, chance Polyphony, etc. Thanks!

Thank you for covering this topic! I've been using the Drum Machine Designer and noticed it did change the samples a little bit. However, I do like the changes it's made for the style of music I make. I've noticed though when I go to export an individual track from the Drum Machine Designer it bypasses all the plugins or processing that I've done to the sample in the over all Drum Machine Designer. Any tips on how I can export individual tracks from the Drum Machine Designer while keeping all of the applied effects? Thank you in advance for answering!

Hey! Got a question about logic. When using side chain on a track, take bass-track being trigger by the kick for example, how to you go about bouncing the bass without losing the sidechain effect. I know that you can record it onto another track but isn't there a easier way to do it? Thanks a lot!

TIP!! OPEN QUICK SAMPLER. Under PITCH. Turn off KEY TRACKING. This is what changing the sound of the drums. Making them it sound flat no Punch.
