- The marketing for the Oz Perkins’ 2024 horror film, Longlegs will be studied for years. From the moment I saw the first teaser trailer, I was hooked. NEON, the distribution company for Longlegs, gradually released similar trailers on their RUclips channel, building hype. The studio promoted the film as the scariest movie of the year. The trailers were reminiscent of the original Alien marketing from 1979: vague yet terrifying.

I, personally, did not like it. I went in expecting it to be on the same level as Silence of the Lambs, or Seven, and it fell so far from that benchmark. The direction produced lack luster, dull, and mono-emotion characters that were hard to identify with, and emotionally connect with. It never really made me fear Longlegs as an antagonist. Longlegs was more creepy, and not in a good way. It was trying too hard to be an indie style artistic film, and most of the time, I felt like that took priority over the story.

Such a well done video! I haven’t watched this cus I heard it was not marketed correctly as what it was - but it seems good IF it was marketed honestly
It really disappointed me, I enjoyed the visuals in the beginning but I felt the story really missed it’s mark. I thought the story was going in the direction of its scary to be a woman in a man’s profession with the conversation she had with the chiefs daughter, and then him entering her home and her previously meeting him. This movie had everything to be actually scary but they should have just left him as some creepy man for her to overcome leaving out the religious elements. Any interesting part that made me speculate was swept away within seconds because of ooooo oh no the devil
Absolute masterpiece can’t wait to watch it again in the cinema 10/10

This movie was completely awful, its start too freaking slow, the acting was bad, the story made completely no sense, I give it 1 1/2 stars, should’ve watch minions instead, nothing really was going on, me and my girlfriend were completely unimpressed
