A mix of v12 sounds from a range of F1 cars over the past 40 years. Ferrari 312, 412t1, 412t2, Matra MS80. I will be doing a V10 edition in the near future.
THIS IS F1. Please, oh please, bring back that shivering on the back and the raising hairs on your arm when you could simply hear the shear amount of power back in these days. WE REALLY WANT SOUND BACK IN FORMULA 1.
Yeah. The V10 and V12 should be back in F1! I can't believe they went for that idiotic and stupid V6! I just wish that the FIA didn't exist at all. No rules, NO REGULATIONS, & without the FIA, the manufacturers of the F1 cars will actually have the freedom to put any kind of engine in their F1 cars, no matter how many cylinders that engine has or how powerful it is! X (
A.J. Swierzbinski The sport wouldn't last long if it were like that, it would literally be a spending spree with only the richest team being able to win. The economic climate in F1 is bad enough as it is, with Caterham and Marussia dropping out and half the mid field teams also struggling financially.
Chris Refalo You have your point there. It's very difficult to live through a time when the FIA can't make up their minds about the engines. You see, F1 will probably be much better with the V12 and V10 than without, but I see where you are coming from on this subject. Perhaps change is good for some events like this that have been dominant with these V10 & V12 engines. The V10 and V12 have done their part of history very well.
I think it is really cool that there are some folks on here that have been watching F1 longer than me! Me? Since 2003. I am not a full fledged member of the Tifosi but going through the training. Listening to some of the older sounding engines not only makes me think of the advances made in engineering but some past champions.
I cant tell you the level of my excitment. I watch this video for the very first time in my life. My emotions are completely mixed. Seriously thanks @Chris Refalo. Big big thanks. This is one of the most exciting moments in my life
Back in the last 80s. Monza. I was a child, with my father and cousins. The first time for me to attend a F1 gp. We were approaching the stand and walking through the park. My father warned me "Prepare for something. Place those ear plugs". I started to hear something, an engine of course. It was faraway. Then in seconds It was so close. I felt like someone was shaking me. I heard the sound though my chest. I wasn't so quick to place ear plugs. So I fully listened to the roaring engine. Similar to 1:19. It took me seconds to realise. I started againg to walk. My father said nothing. Then I saw him smiling and, after that, a little bit laughing. Thanks dad. That was a really good gift, bringing me there and enjoying those engineering beauties.
1:23 wow at the car profile, do you happen to have that pic? also amazing sound, todays formulas never come close to the manliness of the sport before mid 90's
Marvellous video. But one thing must be said: it wasn't the Matra MS80 carrying the french V12. MS80 had the Cosworth DFV instead. V12 was in the Ms11 (1968) and the MS120 (1970-72) F1 cars. Thank you again.
this cars was real cars no the f1 of today at that time also pilots diden t have all theis eletronic of today tracion control stability if u was no good u couden t drive a car like that this is the best sound ever in all hisory of raceing cars v12 for everrrrr
The real sound of devil, not this current "shit green F1", listen to me fellows in a very close time we will have very small enginees with very big batteries
Here's an EXCELLENT plan to stand against the FIA. First, ask the F1 car manufacturer for a V10 or V12. Second, get one of their F1 cars. Third, put that V10 or Infamous V12 in it, tune it up, make sure you have good and long gears on your transmission. Finally, when you have everything you need to create the ultimate F1 car.... LET THAT MONSTER OF A RACE CAR RIP ON THE TRACK!! X)
I listened to this CD more than 16 years ago, my dad had a copy from some guy, I cannot find the name of it but I remember every second of this tracks as if they were songs, do you remember what was the name of the CD? thanks for uploading this, I remember there were lots more of tracks though
Hi Sergio, I think the name of the CD is called Open Pipe Symphony. I downloaded these sounds 13/14 years ago so I'm not 100% sure if it's from that CD. Hope this helps
Hey Chris thanks a lot!! that was the fastest youtube reply ever haha I googled it and yes!! that’s the name of the collection, thank you so much, there are 17 different tracks on the CD including not only formula one recordings but also GT races, I’ve never heard something even closer to the quality of these tracks, the guy who made it was truly a professional, thanks again Chris!
Those v12 sounds can we get them back into F1 please I so miss them, the current cars sound abit tame now, very muted in comparison!! I luved the backpopping, the gear changes sound seamless now. Back in the 80's and 90's u could really hear the effort of the gear changing for the engine and the breaking!! Remember the spark showers aswell?
Now can the v12 keep up with the v10 or the 2014 v6??? I always wondered if the ones back then can compete with the newer f1's someone please answer lol
Nah a 1994 F1 car wouldn't be close to a 00/10's F1 car. Since that time technology, and especially aerodynamics, have had a huge leap forward and left them behind.
+Chris Refalo so in a straight away instead of cornering can that v12 let's say the 412 T1 have close to the same acceleration as something like the f2004?
+Chris Refalo reason why I asked was cause I watched a video clip of both the f2004 and the 412 T1 and to be honest the 412T1 didn't corner good. it was sliding a bit as compared to the f2004 but coming out of that corner both their acceleration seemed very close, the 412t1 camera had good quality for 94 year if anyone can answer that would be great also
Ferrari V12 almost bring's a tear to my eye.....I simply love it
I hope my neighbours like the V12 sound
Golf clap for this comment!
The FIA should listen to this
That's not a V12-powered Formula 1 car... That's god clearing his throat!
V12 and V10s gave me goosebumps when I first saw them at the track. The new engines do nothing for me.
exactly..... I was in tears for the better part of 20 minutes the first time I heard the v10s in person pulling out of the pits
Forget bird song, ocean noises or other relaxation tapes. I want this.
i played this on my stereo at full blast and got goosebumps on every square inch of my body.
man i have expo sound stereo...I totally understand you
I love the F1 V12s and V10s equally.
0:09 typical Ferrari V12 sound on the background during 1995 season TV coverage

This just breaks my heart. Sounds nothing like this today. Just beautiful.
I just wish that someday before I die, I am able to hear these beasts on F1-races again...

I use this as my alarm clock to wake up early. - S
Ferrari V12 the most beautiful sound!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
this song is beautifull, makes me goosebump :)
0:59-1:25 is the best!
Mesmerising. Literally every note sounds perfect. This is what a racing car really should sound like. The sound of raw power ringing in your ears.
a 1:19 fà impazzire!!!...quando i motori di F1 cantavano!!!
1:19 I need that as a wallpaper
the years when F1 was brutal

1. Click on Speakers in bottom right corner of screen
2. Open Enhancements and change Pitch Shift to +4
3.
Absolutely scary. Since the abscence of these legend engines F1 an Ferrari will never get the same.
Belleza, belleza pura, v12!!!
Ci sono cresciuto con questo video...

@danthemanpatrick LOL!!!! It don't my nipples hard, but I turn the sound up on my headphones to get that feeling.
0:43
Where do you find the sound of the 412T1 onboard at the begining?
this sounds odd but I can tell you got some of these off another video just by the downshifts alone. better than anything miley cyrus can make
Why not the v12 or v10 turbo f1 cars.
