National Insurance cut begins

This month has seen National Insurance cut from 12% to 10% - a tax cut benefitting 27 million working people. I will be pushing for further sensible tax cuts in the upcoming March Budget - and together with falling mortgage rates, fuel, and grocery prices, this will make a real difference to household finances.

Sorry Garath , but I’ve paid my NI. Now retired all the things I buy have gone up about 60%. Food fuel , petrol, insurance. Basic tax thresholds need to rise too. And remove VAT from meds, orange juice, insulation products.
