  • $45 AMAZON CV CARBURETOR / UNBOXING AND REVIEW, is a video showing you a CV carburetor that was ordered from AMAZON at 1/6 the cost of a Harley Davidson CV carburetor. But cost is only part of the equation, the true test is in the performance of the carburetor. so follow along as i review this carburetor, inside and out . watch as i get it installed and tuned up, and i run it up and down the road. then i will road test it for a couple of hundred miles, and then i will make a final video, telling you my thoughts on how it performs. as always thanks for checking out the channel, ride safe and live life behind bars.

I admit I need a magnifying glass to read jet numbers. I'm thinking about trying this on either my Evo or Shovelhead. The Shovel still has the butterfly carb. It was just rebuild. A CV may be an upgrade.

Thanks for the up close video. I’ve been considering picking one of these up from Amazon. I heard somewhere that the screw holes where the air cleaner fits on are a different thread pitch than the Harley model. Any issues fitting your air cleaner assembly? Looking forward to part two.

Hey ham samich, thanks for checking out the channel thanks for commenting. I had no issues with anything as far as putting that on accept what you saw on the video with the throttle cable bracket I'm sure that varies from bike the bike. I will have to do a video on my shifter linkage, so that everybody can check it out. I've had it on there for years, I love it. and my buddy the Shepherd, that used to own the 91 Sportster bagger that I'm doing right now, at one time had it on that bike. It's really pretty simple to make keep watching I'll do a video on that in the next week or two. Thanks again for watching. And thank you for the idea for another video. And if anybody else out there has an idea for a video , or see something on my videos they want me to show them more of. By all means, comment and let me know. As always everybody ride safe, and live life Behind Bars.

Have one of these on a 98 Sportster I just bought. Went to install a extended fuel mixture needle valve and found that a Harley extended needle will not fit, different thread pitch. Didn't try swapping any jets, don't know if they will fit. Also found that the cable mounting bracket was short, just like the vid shows, throttle was only opening about 3/4 max with cable adjusters at full extension. Ordered a used HD carb from ebay.

You can't ride your bike because it's 50° out, are you serious? Are you going to melt or something 🤭

Hey thanks for checking out the video. No I don't melt, and riding in the cold is it something that bothers me. I prefer to ride when it's warm. But I don't like to take my bikes intentionally out in the rain if I get caught in it that's one thing plus, a week or two ago here, it was in the twenties and the salt trucks were running around throwing salt on the road. And I don't take my bikes out in the salt it promotes rust and destroys Chrome. So once the salt goes down on the road I don't take my road bikes out till after the first couple of rain storms in May. And most of the salt has been washed off the roads. If I want to go ride in the winter, I have a Yamaha Blaster four-wheeler and my father-in-law has 150 Acre Farm. Im Just letting you know I bought a brand new Yamaha Virago in 1985. I picked it up April 1st, it was snowing. I road it that entire year all the way around to the next march 1986 , every day in the winter because it was the only Transportation I had. The salt pitted all the Chrome. And rust started forming in all the little nooks and crannies on the frame and on the rear swing arm , mostly where all the welds are ,and the bike was only a year old. So that's why I won't be riding till the spring on my road bikes , not because of the temperature. I sincerely appreciate you checking out the video and the channel, if you like what you see then please give me a thumbs up and consider subscribing if you haven't done so already. Please ride safe especially if you're going to do some cold weather riding. Dress for it, and watch out for the ice. And life Behind Bars.
