Exodus are one of the metal bands who have been around forever, but they really have gotten their success, because they never sold out, and the fans love them! I have been a fan for decades, and they are one of my favorite bands.
I've played as the opening act with my band, Aggressive, for Exodus. The experience to meet them was astonishing. I got mute step beside THE Gary Holt! One of my favorite bands af all times. Bucket list checked!
Jeff actually recommend his friend Gary as a replacement if he needed to be replaced and Gary actually was allowed to use Jeff's rig to keep the slayer sound as much as possible

Saw Exodus in Amsterdam on October 28, 1985 with Venom. We waited for the Tour bus and got to meet all the guys. I went to the Bulldog and got Gary some Hash. Great guys, epic concert.
I'm 48 year's old. I grew up listening to these guy's, and THEY were a huge part of the meaning of the genre "Thrash Metal" back in the day. Perhaps Metallica, Slayer, Overkill, and Exodus were the original pioneer's. As far as talent goes, these guy's are the best (despite line up changes) consistently recording unbelievable pieces of music. I WILL live and die with Exodus being an essential part of my life. Within the Walls of Chaos is probably my all time favorite. Thank you very much for your hard work through the years.

He’s been back with Exodus but good for him! If it wasn’t for him not accepting the offer to join Slayer after Jeff Hanneman’s death and even though he was still recovering that flesh eating disease from that bite back then before he died, there’s no way Slayer would continue to play for another 9 to 10 years of touring and knowing the band will never be the same without Jeff and things would’ve gone down hill for the band despite the how things have change for the band in the last decade when they decided they were gonna kick Dave Lombardo out of the band because of financial issues but besides the outside of the bands personal stuff. Gary Holt was a perfect replacement since Jeff’s passing and I think they wouldn’t found another guitar player other than Holt and his playing is so consistent and he was difference in the last final 9 years playing with Slayer and he knew that he said in an interview that it was gonna be another whole aspect of his career and what challenges he was gonna face in playing 2 bands and I’m glad he made that commitment and I’m sure Tom and the rest of the guys were very happy for him that he took that opportunity to help Slayer become the band they were when they first started becoming more intense of an extreme band back when metal started coming around
The last time I saw Exodus was six or seven years ago with Anthrax , Shadows Fall and two other bands and it was PHENOMENAL!!! Rob Dukes was still their lead singer and he did an incredible job. It was the most crowded show I have ever been to. If the fire marshal showed up , it would have been shut down. The club was one month away from shutting down so they didn't care.
I can’t believe it took me so long to start listening to them, until I saw them last year with Testament. I was really hesitant about the vocals until I decided it sounds like Bon Scott came back from the dead really pissed off and then I had new appreciation… Not to mention the fact the amount of influence they had on some of the most important metal bands.
Paul was so great. Exodus were very fortunate to have achieved such success with Zetro, especially following what is one of the best thrash album debuts ever in Bonded By Blood. They’re just loaded with talent.

Zetro is awesome, but he can't do Rob's tracks justice. They HAVE to get Rob back and go with 2 singers. Maiden does it with 3 guitar players, Heloween does it with 2 singers, so it's nothing unseen. :)

Boise Idaho at the Neurolux with a crowd of only like 70 people I was pre-Funkin outside in good spirits told dude I could sing every song off of bonded by blood… during the second stanza of the song piranha dude invited me on the stage to sing it with him he actually handed me the mike and I shredded it you should’ve let me do that laugh cause I nail it. But sadly to say I would’ve died before my time if exodus was to make me their full-time lead singer. All my Idaho friends carry me on a board because of that night thank you exodus
Saw Dukes perform at the Galaxy in Santa Anna 2005 . They were on it . That was by far my favorite Exodus version and yes I've seen them with Steve . Steves great as well just call it a personal preference.

I saw them in late 2017 at a VERY small club in Durham NC (Motorco) - Battle of the Bay with Obituary and Power Trip. When I say small - like 500 people small. It was a converted car repair garage. No security, no guarding, nothing. It was shocking to see. and amazing!

They're probably more in line with bands like Sepultura that came out a few years later. In all honesty though, back then, Slayer wasn't even considered thrash. They were more in the black metal vein, and both Anthrax and Overkill, in my opinion, were influenced by Metallica. Their music changed right about the time Metallica showed up to record Kill em All.
Man, where did those 2 hours go? Really enjoyed this. Reminds me of the Pantera videos but covers a lot more ground. I heard Zetro first, so that'll always be the Exodus-sound to me but the Dukes era is very underappreciated.

I am 54 years old, in 1985 I was in the USN and was very close with 3 others 1 white guy and two black guys, all 3 still in good contact. The black guys used to have the radio tuned to the "Michael Jackson" station and never heard Exodus but insisted on joining me to see them in Cali. LOL.. they LOVED it and Bonded by Blood. The Ultimate Revenge Video came out and every time we went out after that one of the black guys would say "I WANT TO KNOW HOW MANY OF YOU GO TO THE STREETS LOOKING TO KICK SOMEONE'S ASS" just like Paul would. The only people who had ANY idea what he was talking about were us 4 but the rest of the team loved it anyways. He STILL says that. A 55 year old black guy.

There was a promising band back then Ripping Corpse out of NJ. Their demo is still floating around and it’s a killer.
I am 54 years old, in 1985 I was in the USN and was very close with 3 others 1 white guy and two black guys, all 3 still in good contact. The black guys used to have the radio tuned to the "Michael Jackson" station and never heard Exodus but insisted on joining me to see them in Cali. LOL.. they LOVED it and Bonded by Blood. The Ultimate Revenge Video came out and every time we went out after that one of the black guys would say "I WANT TO KNOW HOW MANY OF YOU GO TO THE STREETS LOOKING TO KICK SOMEONE'S ASS" just like Paul would. The only people who had ANY idea what he was talking about were us 4 but the rest of the team loved it anyways. He STILL says that. A 55 year old black guy.
Wow. What a doc....wish I had known about exodus during rob dukes era, the energy is fucking crazy, don't get me wrong I still love exodus and have been to see em numerous times now but it's not the same with old man zetro. The sound the energy are just not as brutal as I'd like
